I’m also weighing in early as I’m also going on a long weekend and have also lost a pound and am also 9.11.6!!!!!

I will be putting it all back on (and then some) over the w/e though so will try to get back on the horse next week.

Good luck to everyone weighing in and have a great w/e @purplegirl13!

purplegirl13 · 24/06/2021 10:44

@BlodwinTheThird Are you me?!!

BlodwinTheThird · 24/06/2021 10:46
Grin
purplegirl13 · 24/06/2021 15:37

I mindfully bought a blueberry cheesecake muffin, and also something called a frofee (half frozen coffee, blended with a chocolate milkshake). I did however resist the veggie sweets from M&S. Something about train stations mean I require snacks even though the journey is only 90mins

Morningmaeve · 25/06/2021 07:57

I have stepped on the scales for first time in a while and am holding steady at 9st 0.4lb. Fair enough as focus hasn't been great. So close to getting under 9st but I have been saying that for months Grin. Planning a C25K run today. Wishing everyone a good weekend.

Morningmaeve · 25/06/2021 08:07

Just checked back and that is exactly the weight I was two months ago on 21 May so precisely no progress! Must make a proper effort this week to break the deadlock.

Sooverthemill · 26/06/2021 09:22

@Morningmaeve how frustrating!
I've not weighed myself today but have pulled on a pair of jeans I don't wear often and they are loose! That's such a nice feeling.

WellTidy · 28/06/2021 09:19

Morning all. I will read back through the posts for the last few weeks and see how you’re all doing, but I’m just checking in for now.

I fell off the wagon badly, not just with the increased socialising pretty much every weekend (so desserts, snacks, booze), but pretty much everyday eating. I am up from my low of 9st 3.5lb of April (which seems like a long time ago) to 9st 8lb when I finally had the courage to weigh this morning. I stopped daily weighing and tracking and walking and posting here and it all went to pot.

So. Need to refocus. I’ve started today with a six mile walk despite the drizzle and I’m hoping that steers me back on the right path. I have time off work this summer so I am full of good intentions to make time for exercise and really think about what makes me happy. And I’m happier at a lower weight, so I need to get there.

All the best to you all!

BlodwinTheThird · 28/06/2021 13:04

It’s not about the falling down @WellTidy it’s about the getting back up again. I’ve been off the wagon too after a long weekend with friends and to be honest I think this is usually the point where I say ‘ah f*ck it’ and then ditch it all completely. Let’s try and keep each other on track. I’m going to weigh tomorrow to see what the damage is and then try and walk everyday as I was doing back in March/April when (surprise surprise) the losses were higher.
Good luck to everyone this week :)

BlodwinTheThird · 28/06/2021 13:07

And, btw, not one person at the W/e said ‘ooh you’ve lost weight’ when I’ve lost two bloody stone!!! I think it’s because I haven’t seen them since pre-pandemic which means I’m probably just back where I initially started (didn’t weigh myself for about 5 years).

@WellTidyThis with bells on, it's the getting back to it! Also, repeating your words back to you here - the faster it's come on, the faster it'll come off.

@BlodwinTheThirdI'll also be weighing tomorrow to see what the damage is after a very indulgent weekend. My aims went out of the window once I boarded the train on Thursday afternoon with my muffin and frozen milkshake/coffee in hand. I'm now home and have made a comforting laksa for lunch/dinner.

Knittingnanny · 28/06/2021 16:35

Hi everyone, I will be back on track when all of the Father’s Day chocolate is gone!

Sooverthemill · 29/06/2021 07:22

Weighed in today and I'm 8:11:6 . Pleased!

Sooverthemill · 29/06/2021 07:25

I had to find previous thread! I am apound down from last weigh in. So that's progress

Sooverthemill · 29/06/2021 07:34

And I went back and just after I had my final chemo session I was 10st 7 (January 2013) and I can match my highest and lowest ( normal for me) weights exactly to DDs hospital stays.

purplegirl13 · 29/06/2021 10:40

@Morningmaeve I think holding steady is pretty good all things considered, but a renewed focus should see you creep down to under 9st

@Sooverthemill well done on the loose fitting jeans and the numbers on the scale dropping down

@WellTidy how did you get on yesterday?

@BlodwinTheThird have you braved the scales yet? Mine were showing at 9st13.2 which I'm ok with. I'm back to calorie counting this week to keep me in check.

purplegirl13 · 29/06/2021 10:41

Oh, and @Knittingnanny enjoy the chocs Smile

BlodwinTheThird · 29/06/2021 10:46

I’m 4.4lbs up and back in the 10s @purplegirl13 😭. Hoping for fast on fast off but I suspect the more often you do this the less effective that gets. Will get back on the horse today (hopefully!)

purplegirl13 · 29/06/2021 11:10

@BlodwinTheThird oh bless you, but good job on stepping on the scales. We've absolutely got this. Baby steps, drink lots of water today and if the weather permits can you get out for a walk today? If nothing else today, do those?

WellTidy · 29/06/2021 11:31

Well - yesterday was better than the few weeks leading up to yesterday had been, but not as good as it should have been! If you know what I mean. I am back to daily weighing and I lost half a pound when I weighed in this morning. So 9st 7.5lb on the scales this morning.

I’ve walked six miles again, and had an oat latte. Another six miles planned for tomorrow, and my gym membership kicks in on Thursday. I am hoping that DH (who is a runner) will come with me using a guest pass, as I am already feeling quite intimidated about going. I’d like someone to use the gym with on my first time. And then I’m booked into a lunchtime aqua-aerobics class, which I’m hoping with me with women who are aroundabouts my level of fitness. I’d like to have a swim afterwards, but I will have to check the order of play first as Wimbledon takes priority over everything right now.

@BlodwinTheThird well done for stepping back in the scales. It’s difficult, I know, when you know you won’t like what you see!

Fantastic that you’re still in the nines @purplegirl13, well done.

@Sooverthemill you’re a superhero, that’s all I can say. 8st 11lb!! Wow.

@Morningmaeve good luck with staying on track

@Knittingnanny Father’s Day chocolate is too tempting. I had forgotten how much of that I’d eaten. The scales hadn’t though Grin

Knittingnanny · 29/06/2021 11:48

@WellTidy, I bought him rum and raisin chocolate for our wedding anniversary last week as I hate that combination!
I’m going to weigh on Friday for the first time in over 2 weeks and hope I’ve not gone above 9 st but not hopeful
Shame it goes on so quickly on us shorties and comes off so slowly

WellTidy · 29/06/2021 11:58

@Knittingnanny rum and raisin is my favourite! Especially if it’s ice cream. I just can’t choose anything else when it’s available.

Sooverthemill · 29/06/2021 13:33

@WellTidy thanks you.

Morningmaeve · 29/06/2021 16:47

Thanks for encouragement - I do really want to get under 9 stone but it is so hard! Whenever I get disheartened I look at my progress on MFP and remind myself I have lost more than a stone since I started Smile
