Well bloods are back and inconclusive so need to keep repeating them. Last time it took several months to show a trend. She is so miserable poor girl. Me too really!
However I've lost 2 pounds so that is something I guess. Small victories over my annoying world

Knittingnanny · 28/10/2021 10:50

Thinking of you @Sooverthemill

purplegirl13 · 28/10/2021 11:12

@Sooverthemill well, that is frustrating. Thinking of you x

@Knittingnanny how are you feeling?

Knittingnanny · 28/10/2021 14:23

A bit better today thank you
Just having a pit of tea in the garden as it’s quite mild here today
Obviously it’s tea and cake....
I’m out of jail tomorrow at midnight so will recommence the “ below 9 st pre 1982 maintaining diet for life” on Saturday. I will only buy Halloween treats I don’t like so there is no temptation to finish them off!
My husband has painted me at the piano this week
I don’t have a dress that colour but I like the small waist he’s given me!

Knittingnanny · 28/10/2021 14:24

Here it is!

purplegirl13 · 29/10/2021 09:35

@Knittingnanny I'm pleased to hear you are feeling slightly better. That is a great painting, and what lovely slim waist you have there!

I have lost weight! 0.2lbs down this week as I've mostly stuck to greek yogurt/fruit for breakfast, and soup for lunch with healthy dinners this week. I won't mention the cheesecake, and dark chocolate consumed

I'm frustrated I'm back to where I was in June, but I have to remind myself I'm still down nearly 11lbs from March. I'm still here plodding along...

Today:
B - nothing so far as I'm not feeling very hungry
L - chickpea & lentil soup
D - something low-key, a shove in the oven job or an omelette

Good luck to everyone weighing in today

@Dancingonmoonlight @DuPainDuVinDuFromage how are you both getting on?

I fell off the wagon. Im 9st 5 and disgusted.

Sooverthemill · 29/10/2021 10:54

I'm doing well this week, managing to not hit the biscuits!

Sooverthemill · 29/10/2021 10:56

But, we are at DDs request having a Middle Eastern meze meal tonight from Arabica London which will be delicious. We've had it previously and it was just lovely. I may eat a bit much but that's fine

purplegirl13 · 29/10/2021 11:10

@Dancingonmoonlight what's the plan for today's meals? I think the important thing is to write off what has already happened and try and start afresh today.

@Sooverthemill I'm gad you're hanging in there, I looked up Arabica as I'd not come across them before. Looks yum.. I live in an area in London surrounded by authentic Turkish food, and whenever my friends come to visit for dinner, they will 100% choose to go out for dinner instead of my homecooked meals. I'm not offended, it's not a reflection on my cooking and means no dishes to wash!

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 29/10/2021 11:25

@purplegirl13 thanks for asking! I’m afraid I have kind of given up…I’m hovering around 57kg but not managing to resist temptation, and it’s half term this week and next so I’m just going with the flow at the moment. So far today I have been on a tour of the kitchens in a chocolate shop, complete with tasting…

I’ll try and get back into it after the holidays, at least then I might focus on a goal of losing a certain amount by Christmas, as there won’t be too many weeks in between. I have started buying chocolate again with the weekly shop, which I absolutely have to stop!

Sooverthemill · 29/10/2021 13:18

@purplegirl13 ooh I wonder where you are? I lived in Stoke newington/ Hackney for 10 years and before then off green lanes in haringay. I adore Turkish food! And Greek of course. Where we are now there is nothing that delivers except a terrible Indian and terrible Chinese. Nothing else anywhere near us delivers so we off get recipe boxes from arabica London and the modern Persian kitchen ( by often I mean a few times a year!). Although I would be cautious anyway, hardly any pubs or restaurants are opening evenings here because of staff shortages so we don't have many options for a 'treat'. I had no idea when we moved here that we wouldn't be able to get Ocado, dominos, a taxi .....

purplegirl13 · 29/10/2021 13:36

@Sooverthemill Good guess, I'm off Green Lanes! I'm London born and bred, which makes the thought of living elsewhere difficult. I've been mulling it over the past year but I'm sticking put for now.

You've inspired me to get courgette fritters, halloumi, rice and salad for dinner Smile

purplegirl13 · 29/10/2021 13:43

@DuPainDuVinDuFromage just come back to us when you're ready!

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 29/10/2021 15:59

@purplegirl13 thanks! I’ll keep lurking anyway 😄 hope you all have lots of success with the weight loss, and @sooverthemill I hope things go as well as possible for your DD.

Morningmaeve · 29/10/2021 16:18

Hello all - no change weight-wise for me so still 8 stone 13.2lb. My motivation has slipped a bit if I am being honest but I’m okay with maintaining. I can only envy that waist @Knittingnanny! And thanks for the Arabica tip @Sooverthemill - looks delicious for a treat. Hope you and your DD really enjoy it.

Sooverthemill · 29/10/2021 20:51

@Morningmaeve well we have finished eating ( lots left for tomorrow) and it was fab. The baby artichoke salad is one of my most favourite things ever. Also the baba ganouche but everything is delicious. @purplegirl13 I love London and wish we hadn't moved away. I came back briefly but couldn't afford to buy again so settled then in Hertfordshire and then by a roundabout way moved here for DDs sake. But I am a city girl...

purplegirl13 · 30/10/2021 15:49

@Morningmaeve well done on maintaining!

@Sooverthemill the artichoke salad sounds tasty! I'm glad you all enjoyed it, was your DD feeling well enough to eat much?
I fantasize about moving away when I realise how much more I could get for my money outside of London, especially since I'm in a one-bedroom flat with no garden.

Today:
B - greek yogurt/blackberries
L - leftover flat breads/salad/goats cheese
S - cappuccino
D - tbc

purplegirl13 · 01/11/2021 08:10

Happy Monday!

I had an Ocado delivery yesterday so might have had a few too many M& S colin the caterpillar sweet/profiteroles last night, but otherwise meals over the weekend were fresh/reasonably healthy

Today:
B - coffee
S - banana
L - halloumi salad
D - tofu katsu curry, with basmati rice or maybe cauliflower 'rice'

I have an open bottle of red wine, so will pour myself a glass this eve.

Clock changes meant I was up at 5.45am this morning, so I may well struggle this afternoon, but I've got no sugary sweets in the flat to reach for.

purplegirl13 · 01/11/2021 08:11

@Knittingnanny how are you feeling? hopefully no worse, and actually getting better?

Morningmaeve · 01/11/2021 08:31

I’ve eaten far too much this weekend - no real rubbish really just bigger portions and more carby choices…. Will attempt to rein things in for rest of week.
B boiled egg and toast
L salmon/cream cheese bagel
D gnocchi with butternut squash, leeks and broccoli

purplegirl13 · 01/11/2021 10:28

@Morningmaeve good point there, my meals were carb heavy and there's been a lot of sourdough bread consumed.

Your dinner sounds lovely, have you ever roasted gnocchi? I like this recipe using whatever veg/cheese I have in thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/crispy-gnocchi-with-roasted-peppers-chilli-rosemary-and-ricotta/

purplegirl13 · 01/11/2021 12:26

I've got half batch of this in the slow cooker www.gimmesomeoven.com/slow-cooker-black-bean-soup-recipe/

Sooverthemill · 01/11/2021 12:49

I've just made pumpkin soup as DD and DH carved a pumpkin yesterday. Nice to see them do a thing together. So that's lunch. I've been sensible over the weekend and feel much better in myself, junk food makes me ill! DD enjoyed the food slowly and in tiny quantities. Took her 3 days to eat a portion. But that's okay

Sooverthemill · 01/11/2021 12:49

@Knittingnanny hope you are feeling better?
