I am eating too much too @Sooverthemill. I was away at the weekend and now the weather has turned colder so the carbs are calling. I will have to settle for maintaining again this week for sure - I really hope I haven't gone back over 9 stone but I wouldn't be surprised... Also hope things settle down again for your DD health-wise.

Morningmaeve · 15/10/2021 08:20

Am still under 9 stone! Yay! Think all the walking I did at the weekend mitigated the over eating Smile
Current weight 8 stone 13.6
Target 8 stone 10lb

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 15/10/2021 09:04

Good result @morningmaeve ! And I hope things get better with your DD, @sooverthemill . It must be very stressful and I don’t blame you for taking comfort in food.

I’ve given up completely this week - I’m full of cold, I’ve got my period, and I’ve eaten mountains of chocolate and done no exercise. As with a few weeks ago, I think the small loss is due to recently-acquired muscle turning back to fat…

Starting weight 62.6kg
Current weight 56.6kg
Loss for October: 0.6kg
Goal weight 50kg

Sooverthemill · 15/10/2021 17:58

@Morningmaeve well done! And thank you to both you and @DuPainDuVinDuFromage . She's still rubbish and we are having repeat tests done. Fearing her cancer has returned and her bloods look like it may be so

Knittingnanny · 16/10/2021 09:23

@Sooverthemill so sorry to hear that. What a difficult time for you all
I’ve booked the teeny tiny cottage for 4 nights in half term and will send you a message the day we visit Southwold to see if we could meet for a cup of tea x

Dancingonmoonlight · 16/10/2021 10:27

Sooverthemill

I’m so sorry to hear about your DD. I hope you hear some better news soon. What a stressful time for you all and I’m willing you all get told its something less than serious and she will be ok. What age is your daughter?

My weight stayed the sane at 9st 2pds. I bought Halloween sweets to give to the trick and treaters and ate loads of them. I am doing ok during the day but am back to my old habits of eating rubbish at night.

Sooverthemill · 16/10/2021 17:56

Thank you. She is 22. She's been bed bound for 8 years. She also happened to have cancer when she was 18. Unrelated to her chronic illness ( though lymphoma is a cancer of the immune system) but sickened I had the same cancer 9 years ago. So I feel extra guilty even though I know it's not my fault

@Knittingnanny yay

Morningmaeve · 17/10/2021 07:35

Thinking of you and your DD @Sooverthemill

purplegirl13 · 18/10/2021 11:00

@Sooverthemill I'm so sorry to hear about your DD x thinking of you both

purplegirl13 · 18/10/2021 11:06

Too many posts to catch up so I'll just start from here, well done to those of you losing or maintaining.

I'm edging back up to 10st so must try harder. I'm in the office one day this week so have panic bought a dress from ebay in the hopes a dress in a larger size will make me feel more comfortable. I've really resisted buying clothes in a larger size but that leaves me with clothes that don't fit, or are too tight for my liking.

I think it's now officially soup weather, and I'm a big fan of soups! I've got a batch of this in the slow cooker right now www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/red-lentil-chickpea-chilli-soup

B - Greek yogurt, raspberries
L - chickpea & lentil soup (no bread)
D - tofu stirfry (no noodles)

Morningmaeve · 18/10/2021 13:58

Thanks for that recipe link @purplegirl13 - I’ve just made a batch on the hob. I didn’t have any coriander but it was still tasty without it. I had it with some oat cakes for lunch.

purplegirl13 · 18/10/2021 17:05

@morningmaeve I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't have coriander in it either, I'll only add it if l have some in the fridge but not go out specifically for it.

I made a double batch, so I've got a few portions for the freezer.

I'm doing well so far. Lunch ended up being Spanish omelette as l realised I had an open pack to use up. Dinner will be the soup.

Here's hoping l can avoid anything else but soup this eve!

purplegirl13 · 19/10/2021 08:35

Morning everyone,

Last night's dinner ended up being toast as I could feel a migraine brewing, managed to catch i t in time.

My nephew is coming over for lunch and he's requested takeaway pizza and there was no dissuading him.

So:
B - greek yogurt, raspberries, with a tiny bit of honey
L - pizza
D - chickpea & lentil soup

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2021 11:56

I'm still here! Just busy with poorly DD. Trying to not drown my sorrows in food

purplegirl13 · 20/10/2021 13:07

@Sooverthemill have the latest test results come back yet?

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2021 14:00

The last week ones weren't good. So they need to be repeated but because she is unwell this week ( I think she has a virus) they can't do them. Hopefully next week.

Knittingnanny · 20/10/2021 16:06

@Sooverthemill our trip to Suffolk is off! Unfortunately I tested positive today for covid, which means I’m isolating for ten days.
Probably means I’m going to eat eat and eat some more!

purplegirl13 · 20/10/2021 17:17

@Sooverthemill I hope you are both getting some rest when you can.

@Knittingnanny oh no!! I hope it doesn't affect you too badly, what happens if you lose your sense of taste?! I hear chocolate kills all germs Wink

Knittingnanny · 20/10/2021 17:29

I’m sure chocolate will feature in my next ten days.....
So far I’ve just got the same husky voice and itchy throat that I always get at this time of the year.

purplegirl13 · 20/10/2021 18:30

@Knittingnanny I'd be very disappointed to hear there weren't chocs inhaled consumed by you

I failed miserably yesterday, my nephew didn't even eat half a slice of the pizza so I ate pizza every time I wandered in to the kitchen until it was all gone.

Today has been better:
B - nothing
L - chickpea & lentil soup, 1 slice of buttery rye toast
S - a banana
D - ratatouille (from the freezer), 2 veggie sausages and I've decided to cook up some halloumi
This keeps me within my calorie allocation

I'm in the office tomorrow, the dress I bought from eBay hasn't arrived so I'll wear something that doesn't make me feel comfortable (but will have to do!). Scales are showing a jump over the 10st mark, it was only a matter of time...

Morningmaeve · 20/10/2021 19:23

Sorry to hear your covid news @Knittingnanny - hope you can rearrange your trip. Cases really seem to be rocketing up.

Morningmaeve · 20/10/2021 19:26

I also failed miserably yesterday @purplegirl13 but today has been better
B porridge
L your soup Smile
D gnocchi with veg

2 litres of water

Sooverthemill · 20/10/2021 19:28

@Knittingnanny that's such a shame. I hope you don't feel too dreadful. Soup and chocolate and knitting/audiobook maybe?

@purplegirl13 today has been restful as DD is so unwell she's been dozing on and off and I managed a nap!

Knittingnanny · 20/10/2021 20:45

Apparently Gosport where I live is a hotspot for covid at the moment. I can only think I caught it at choir last week

TwoShoess · 20/10/2021 23:31

@Sooverthemill

Thank you. She is 22. She's been bed bound for 8 years. She also happened to have cancer when she was 18. Unrelated to her chronic illness ( though lymphoma is a cancer of the immune system) but sickened I had the same cancer 9 years ago. So I feel extra guilty even though I know it's not my fault

@Knittingnanny yay

I’m so sorry about your DD @Sooverthemill. Sending lots of love, hugs and support Flowers
