@Morningmaeve well we are definitely seaside but I've seen the sea three times this year. I never get out sadly

Morningmaeve · 30/09/2021 14:01

That is so sad @Sooverthemill - hopefully the sea air at least is doing you some good. It has turned colder here and that is making me hungrier and craving the carbs

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 01/10/2021 06:43

Well my excesses have caught up with me…feeling very fat and guilty 😔 got to get my head back in the game and stop all the crisps, bread, wine, etc…

Starting weight 62.6kg
Current weight 57.2kg
Loss for September: 0.4kg
Goal weight 50kg

Going to try to be 54.something kg by the end of October…

Morningmaeve · 01/10/2021 08:10

The first day of a new month is the ideal time for a reset @DuPainDuVinDuFromage. Good luck. My reset started with the new school year and it is paying dividends as I am now 8 stone 13.2 a drop of half a pound. Out for dinner tonight and I am just going to enjoy that and have what I fancy. My aim is another pound off by end of October.

Sooverthemill · 01/10/2021 09:04

I darent weigh! Jeans that were loose are no longer... I am going to get a grip. Soon

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 01/10/2021 10:36

Well done @morningmaeve ! You’re right, it’s a good time for a reset - new month, new season (it’s really starting to feel autumnal even here in the south of France), and a weekend away to look forward to at the end of October. I’ve been Googling autumn recipes to get inspiration for the next week’s food, and am getting quite excited about soup 😂

Good luck to everyone else with the long hard weight loss slog…

Sooverthemill · 01/10/2021 12:35

@DuPainDuVinDuFromage soup is my favourite food

Dancingonmoonlight · 02/10/2021 10:23

Another bad week. I lost a pound and weighed at 9st 1 pound during the week. I have eaten so many sugar filled treats that I thought to myself that I would continue to do so and skip a dinner or two which of course meant I ate more bad food later in the evenings.
Unsurprisingly I haven’t lost and weight again this morning is 9st 2pds. No change for the 3rd week running.
I’m going to make a big effort this week to get back on track.
My motivation is to see that 8 on the scales.
This week I’m going to do it!!!!

Haven’t time to post properly and will come back later.
Best of luck everyone.

Knittingnanny · 03/10/2021 15:30

@Sooverthemill I’ve found a tiny place that’s available in Oct half term at Wickham Market so just deciding to risk the drive!

Sooverthemill · 03/10/2021 17:10

@Knittingnanny go for it!

Knittingnanny · 04/10/2021 12:37

@Sooverthemill the owner is sending me a brochure and will hold it open for a couple of days so will definitely decide by end of this week

Morningmaeve · 05/10/2021 08:33

I also say go for it @Knittingnanny! Are you maintaining now or still aiming to lose a bit more? My weekend wasn’t a diet success but I enjoyed it! Back on it now.
B porridge with frozen berries
L avocado on toast with a little bit of feta
D fish pie and peas
S none (hopefully!)
Plus aiming for 2 litres of water

Knittingnanny · 05/10/2021 09:39

I’d love to get to 8 st 7 but have stuck around 8 10 for about 3 mo this now so think that’s it! It’s so hard not putting it on though

Sooverthemill · 05/10/2021 10:29

My weight has stabilised at least. It's really hard at the moment but I am: only having 4/5 portions, having 1 less oat cake at lunch and trying only to have my mid afternoon snack ( of two gluten free biscuits 92 calories) if I'm really actually hungry. Also refusing all offers of a treat from DH eg glass of wine or cake. And remembering that tiredness mimics hunger for me. I'm desperate to get back below 9 and really really wish I could be 8:10 which I was last year. I accept my old normal weight of 8:4 has gone forever!

@Knittingnanny let me know. If you are close up maybe we could meet up? ( scary thought but I assume you aren't a 42 year old, male bodybuilder in RL) and if DD is well enough

Knittingnanny · 05/10/2021 12:53

@Sooverthemill haha! Yes that would be lovely! I’m 65 and have no muscles! Brochure hasn’t arrived yet but I might just go for it, we watched river walks on bbc 2 last night which started at WOODBRIDGE. We did a Woodbridge jigsaw in lockdown 1 and my husband wants to stand where the artist did to paint.
I met up with some local gransnetters for the first time before lockdown which was lovely, but obviously that’s all on hold still.
I made oats flapjacks yesterday for my stepdaughters as they love them, unfortunately quite a few have ended up in my mouth! So don’t think I’ll be losing any more weight anytime soon

Sooverthemill · 06/10/2021 12:58

How is everyone?

Morningmaeve · 07/10/2021 07:41

Doing fine here. Calories have climbed over 1200 for last little while but not by too much. It is very hard to keep them that low ongoing. I think I’ll maintain this week which is okay. Slow and steady wins the day! I feel it is worth trying to lose another pound or so in Oct and Nov before the temptations of the run up to Christmas

purplegirl13 · 07/10/2021 20:13

I need to catch up on posts...

I've been feeling a bit rubbish the last week - mostly just raised temp, chills and fatigue but seems to be over with now. So lots of comfort eating and getting into bed early.

I went into the office for the first time today in 19 months(!) and since it's a new job, it's a new office and the first time meeting colleagues. I dug out a ebay purchase, a dress I hadn't worn before as it felt too clingy when I first bought. Felt and looked better this morning, until the harsh lighting in the lift at work (very akin to horrible changing room lighting!) I was so very lumpy and bumpy. Hopefully that'll get me back on track....

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 08/10/2021 08:20

Well I’ve managed a small loss this week, which is more than I deserve as I have had lots of slip-ups (including a McDonald’s 😮)…my mindset is just not right at the moment. This is what I always do - a brief period of focus, then I give up and put all the weight back on. Got to try to at least maintain for now until I feel more motivated…

Starting weight 62.6kg
Current weight 57.0kg
Loss for October: 0.2kg
Goal weight 50kg

Morningmaeve · 08/10/2021 13:42

Still pretty much maintaining here which I can’t complain about as hasn’t been my most focused week. Am away this weekend so there will be temptation so maintaining is the current plan but I’d really like to lose a few more pounds. For the record:

Start weight 10st 2lb
Current weight 8st 13.7lb
Target 8st 7lb

Badgerstmary · 08/10/2021 22:23

Another loss this week, am now only 1/2 lb more than I was end of August before life took over again. At least this time I have managed to get back on track pretty quickly thank goodness.
Sw 12 9
Cw 10 8
Tw1 10 1
Tw 2 9 12 (Gives me a few pounds of flexibility whilst having correct BMI)

Knittingnanny · 08/10/2021 23:13

Well done my slimming twin@Morningmaeve!

Dancingonmoonlight · 09/10/2021 11:21

Good morning everyone.
I’m still 9 st 2pds. I am getting so frustrated because I am seemingly unable to resist eating high calorie food which means I am not losing.
Yesterday I ate properly for the first time in weeks and then sat down and ate a large pack of jellies.
I think I need to go to bed earlier in the evenings as I never eat in bed.
That’s my plan of attack for this week - bed by 10pm!

Well done for your weight losses ladies. Everyone has really started planning and losing again.

Knittingnanny · 09/10/2021 11:57

@Dancingonmoonlight if I’m still thinking about food after a sensible tea I have one or 2 dry cream crackers. It seems to be the only thing I’ve found takes the edge off the desire to stuff my face with anything thus undoing the good work ( usually!) of the rest of the day .

Sooverthemill · 13/10/2021 10:33

I'm back over 9st and pretty fed up. But we are having a rough time with DD who is very unwell and we are having a whole load of medics in and out. Last night we had fish and chips, first time since Easter I think. It was very nice but food doesn't actually resolve anything! Jeans are a bit tight...
