I weighed this morning again and am down 1/2 pound which brings me to my target 2pounds loss for this week.
I have been really strict and was disappointed yesterday.
I celebrated by going out for brunch and had two lattes and a croissant and a pice of cake my DC didn’t finish. . Im sure the two pounds is back up but it felt nice to break from my usual routine.
I will eat carefully for the rest of the day and back to watching my intake until next Saturday.

Teaand · 04/09/2021 17:36

After a couple of bad weeks I did well today. Run first thing back a bit late so grabbed a banna to ear while the children where doing their activities.then home to salad with mozzarella that needed using up ( with crusty bread that needed using up not so good) then chilli thos evening with cauliflower rice and large portion of vegetables. I have also just come back from a walk with children not very far but mainly hills.

Tomorrow won't be as good, as I had planned a roast i will need to make sure I have a large portion of vegetables.

Sooverthemill · 05/09/2021 08:57

Weighed myself! Big mistake. 9 st .4 of a pound. Oh well

purplegirl13 · 05/09/2021 09:10

@Sooverthemill you've got a plan going forward to lose those pesky lbs

I'm going to try to fast this morning, unfortunately steroids aren't working as well as they should and I've got a poorly tummy. I don't want to have too much fibre but nor do I want to exist on white bread/pasta

I'll drink green tea/ lemon in hot water.

Lunch - banana/ Greek yogurt
D - scrambled eggs, veggie bacon slices, avocado

I'll need to think about a meal plan for next couple of days - best for me to not eat fruit/ veg with skin/ seeds

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 06/09/2021 07:47

Well this weekend has been an utter, abject failure…we had three lots of friends and family over, and I basically spent the whole weekend eating and drinking. I’m back above 58kg 😔 I’m going for a run now, and I am going to have to simply not buy wine, crisps, chocolate or salted butter from now on…

Sooverthemill · 06/09/2021 09:52

@DuPainDuVinDuFromage it's a whole new week! We can try harder together

Dancingonmoonlight · 06/09/2021 11:04

I’m over 59kg. Yesterday I walked 18K steps. I’m watching my intake but not losing.

purplegirl13 · 06/09/2021 18:16

A new week for us all!

I wasn't well yesterday so dinner ended up being oven chips. I count that as a win since I resisted a takeaway.

Today:
B - nothing
L - 2 hash browns, fried egg, baked beans, veggie bacon slices (578cals)
D - spanish omelette, olives, crackers and cheese (542cals)
tiny glass of rose (89cals)
total:1209 cals

Good luck everyone

purplegirl13 · 06/09/2021 19:25

Small win. I have talked myself out of ice cream... for now

Morningmaeve · 07/09/2021 07:19

Weekend was okayish though wine was consumed. I agree with you @DuPainDuVinDuFromage it would be better not to have it in the house, along with the crisps. Overall though doing better than I have for a while so hoping the scales will reward me on Friday.
B porridge
L avocado and feta salad
D chickpea curry and rice. Maybe small amount of naan bread.
Hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the late summer sunshine today.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 10/09/2021 06:37

I hope this week has gone well for everyone! I’ve worked really hard to stay on track since Monday, I’ve done lots of exercise and mostly ate healthily (still tempted by the wine and crisps though…).

My weekly weigh-in:

Starting weight 62.6kg
Current weight 56.7kg
Loss for September: 0.9kg
Goal weight 50kg

Morningmaeve · 10/09/2021 08:01

Hello all! The happy day has - finally! - arrived. I am under 9 stone for the first time in forever. Today I weigh 8 stone 13.8. Reduction in carbs, portion size and alcohol has got me here. I was around 10 stone 4lb last summer after lockdown excesses. Progress is glacially slow right now but there is progress.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 10/09/2021 10:30

@morningmaeve congratulations! It’s great to reach a milestone 😊

purplegirl13 · 10/09/2021 10:54

Will post at lunch time but just needed to say YAY! to @Morningmaeve. Very well done. You've finally done it and you should feel very proud of yourself!! Gold Star for you!

Dancingonmoonlight · 10/09/2021 10:59

Morningmaeve Well done. Seeing the 8 on the scales will be such a boost and reward for you!!!! Congratulations!!!

Dancingonmoonlight · 10/09/2021 11:00

I will post tomorrow but this week hasn’t been good.

purplegirl13 · 10/09/2021 12:42

I think it needs repeating....well done to @Morningmaeve

@DuPainDuVinDuFromage ALL the exercise is paying off Smile

@Dancingonmoonlight start afresh tomorrow

After being inspired by morningmaeve and her renewed focus, I have also tried to knuckle down and have mostly done well. There's been some ice cream and wine but included as part of my daily calorie allowance. Yesterday I saw a friend I haven't seen since Feb 2020 and dinner was lots of dim sum and a few cocktails BUT I ate very lightly beforehand to help balance things out.

I am pleased to have a loss of 0.8lbs this week bringing me back down to 9st11

Today:
B - kefir drink
L - www.chinasichuanfood.com/wonton-soup-recipes/ with 5 frozen itsu dumplings. I also had 2 of these www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/itsu-frozen-spicy-veg-6-bao-buns/603287-720205-720206
D - should be this myheartbeets.com/chickpea-cauliflower-coconut-curry/ but is more likely to fried egg, oven chips and baked beans as I'm feeling fatigued.

@Sooverthemill how are things with DD, and how are you doing with your DH away?

Morningmaeve · 10/09/2021 12:50

Thank you ladies! I must keep my head and not undo all the good work this weekend….

Dancingonmoonlight · 11/09/2021 09:48

Good morning. Weight today is 9st 4.2pds. One pound loss since last Saturday.
I can’t say I’m surprised as I have eaten three chocolate bars this week and didn’t walk as planned.
I’m finding it hard to find the energy to walk as I’m very busy at the moment.
I had decided in my head that I would be under 9st by the end of Sept but at this rate, it might take longer.

purplegirl13 · 12/09/2021 10:51

@Dancingonmoonlight 1lb loss is great!

I'm going to be organised for meals so today will be a 'prep' day. The plan is to make the chickpea and cauliflower curry I linked to on Friday, mushroom soup, and slow cooker ratatouille - these will be meals for this week, with a few portions for the freezer.

I am also going to hold out on food until lunch time as I've woken up late.
L - will be greek yogurt and mango
D - chickpea & cauliflower curry with rice

Teaand · 12/09/2021 22:11

I have just seen my Friday post went missing. I had lost a kilo.

But had a massive family event over the weekend which involved a lot of food. I always new it would and was a celebration I had been looking forward to for so long I was never going to restrict myself.

However this evening I made a salad for tomorrow's lunch as I new I would be to busy tomorrow and prepared some ingredients for a healthy slow cooked meal to set myself back on the right path.

Knittingnanny · 12/09/2021 22:20

@Morningmaeve well done diet twin!

Badgerstmary · 12/09/2021 22:42

Everything seems to have gone wrong the last 2 weeks. Mainly my health as I get extreme dizziness, end up laying on the floor at random places, feel travel sick, then am over hungry & eat carbs & sugar. This has happened twice recently & I then crave junk. I’ve also had my youngest becoming a teenager, for which my dd made a scrummy cake & my dd going back to uni. Not surprisingly I have put a few pounds on which is so annoying. But, tomorrow is a new day.

purplegirl13 · 13/09/2021 12:02

@Teaand I find meal preparation so helpful!

@Badgerstmary do what you need to, to feel better. Do it day by day

I've feeling good after yesterday's prep day.

For the freezer, I have: 3 portions of ratatouille, 1 x mushroom soup, 1 x cauliflower & chickpea curry

Today:
B - greek yoghurt & mango
L - mushroom soup, 3 x crackers with hummus
D - cauliflower & chickpea curry, with rice

Have got meals planned for the next few days, and will do best my best to resist the wine

purplegirl13 · 14/09/2021 08:14

have stayed in the zone for 2 days, feeling very proud of myself.

B - greek yogurt and banana, with chia/flax seeds
L - mushroom soup, with 3 crackers and hummus
D - ratatouille with 2 veggie sausages
S - edamame beans

I saw 9st10 on the scales this morning, hoping it comes back for Friday's weigh in
