I’ve joined many diet threads on here over the years and in time they have all crumbled into dust. This time it’s dire so I’ve decided to create my own post for the first time and just hope some lovely people will join me and this time stick to it until we are all thinner and happier with our bodies.

During the first lockdown I managed to lose a stone and was overjoyed. Last November my partner moved in with me for six months and whilst I fed him large meals I ate the same plus a lot of evening snacking. He is thin and can eat a lot of food without weight gain because he has a manual job. He left three weeks ago and I have eaten even more food. I can’t fit into any of my clothes apart from a couple of baggy t-shirts and some very old stretch jeans, which to add insult to injury ripped today.

I have to do something NOW. I think (am pretty sure) I have gained 2.1/2 stones. I am 5ft 4 and tomorrow I will face the scales and really lose it this time. Please if anyone is feeling overweight, lethargic and totally overwhelmed by weight gain, do join me, make me feel better and help yourself too.

Me! I've been yo-yoing throughout lockdown but found it hard to stick to a healthy diet. Enough is enough though. I'm starting tomorrow.

I feel completely overwhelmed about losing the pounds. My weight is sky high and I can’t ignore it anymore. I’m in! Going to try and walk each evening and stop the alcohol and snacks. Not sure that will shift 3 stone Blush

I lost almost 3 stone in the first lockdown... had 8 to lose. I know I've been piling it back on but tomorrow, like you, I will face the scales again and I'm fully expecting to have put at least 1.5 back on.

I'm going to start tracking it from my original weight at the start of the first lockdown to motivate myself.

But I'd like to join the thread. Will be doing calorie counting, walking and outdoor/park gym xx

Spent the first half of lockdown enjoying drinking at 4pm whilst finishing reports and then I was pregnant for the second half. Baby is 11 weeks. Need to lose two stone.

Can stick to a diet all week and when the weekend comes I give in.

Me! Ive put 2 stone on over lockdown. Ive got so much going on at the moment im just eating shit - ive just eaten half a pork pie and piccalilli!

Ive followed so many diets, shakes, cal control, no gluten , no dairy etc in the past but this time really I need to focus on healthy eating again so im starting SW on Wednesday.

Nothing fits and I feel like a slug!

Me too. I bought a battery for my scales today but it was the wrong size! I exercise lots but need to work on my food and drink consumption.

Cautiously joining if that's ok. I'm awful at sticking to anything. I've about one and a half stones to lose. About a stone of that was gained during lockdown. I look like a bee.

In a moment of madness I faced the scales today. This is the heaviest I've been ever. I'm in. Going to do low carb no sugar from tomorrow.

I was nearly at my target weight last March. I’ve put 30 pounds on in lockdown. 2 pounds down… urgh.

Welcome everyone, I’m sure with determination and effort we can do this but I really want this to carry on and not just fizzle out so even if you have a bad day/week please come back.

I’ve tried every diet going ☹️ I know a lot of people think low carbing is good and it did work for me but as soon as I stopped the weight came back quickly. I think I’ll just cut down (a lot) on food and walk more and see if that works. I usually find eating protein (mainly eggs) works for me as it’s quite filling.

So tomorrow morning before I do anything else I will weigh and see what the true damage is.

Ready for this then everyone? Let’s go kill those pounds tomorrow.

I'm in :) I have found it really hard to stop the creep since WFH - it's too easy to snack on crap or have an unhealthy lunch, and wine is happening on too many evenings.

I walk on average 4/5 miles a day so moving isn't a problem. But I'm short and have a big appetite and just need to eat less!

Will weigh in tomorrow and use MFP to track calories, it's the only thing that works for me when I stick to it

I’ve ordered some new jeans tonight in a bigger size just to get me through the first few weeks and then hopefully I’ll get into my older, smaller ones.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone and thank you all so much for joining, I already feel more motivated and I hope to motivate you all too in the coming weeks.

I'm in just weighed myself 😱 nothing fits me any more and I'm going all in keto, as it worked for me a few years ago! And then lock down happened..
