Happy June everyone. Here is the new thread. Not sure what my aims are this month, mainly to try and get on a more even keel. I'm up from the start of May 9st5.25 this morning. Hope everyone is still enjoying the good weather.

Oh god, there's a dangerous thread on here about chocolate bars... Avoid or you'll be like me wishing I was still in my clothes so I could race to the shop!! Blush

MakkaPakkas · 07/06/2021 19:25

I've done ok today
B. Toasted teacake coffee
L. Pepper ommlette
D. Massive halloumi salad
S. Apple
Total calories 1400 & I'm quite full. If I feel hungry later I'm might have some low cal ice cream

TheHoneyBadger · 07/06/2021 19:31

Log:

A hearty but not crazy portion of pasta pesto with anchovies, olives, pickles and some grated cheese.

2 G&Ts.

Could have some strawberries and a meringue nest in a while. Super tired here too and really I hope I sleep better tonight. Gym in the morning.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 07/06/2021 19:53

Mmmm.. Lots of yummy food on the menu today! I need to eat more tomorrow, didn't think I was restricting at all and breakfast was late which resulted in a light lunch, but I'm hungry now despite very generous portion of curry.

NutellaEllaElla · 07/06/2021 21:19

A good day today. First day in new job tomorrow.

FlatteredFool · 07/06/2021 22:10

Hope your first day goes well!

I really enjoyed my dinner. I've not logged it all but should do. I had one wrap and one wedge. The dc declared them delicious which is high praise from the fussy buggers. Dd1 and I love halloumi with beetroot in a baguette or wrap. I put red pepper hummus with mine and some olives if I'm feeling fancy. Baby leaves too. I buy the 30% less fat halloumi to make it a little better but I figure it's protein and calcium and that's good.

I'm actually rumbly tummy hungry tonight. I'm ignoring it though. I've done done arm exercises following someone on YouTube who promises to rid me of armpit lard. My armpits and bingo wings have sadly grown flabby over the last year. My arms are quite chunky anyway (I think I class as having a large frame) but I'm really conscious of them now. Getting old 😩

TheHoneyBadger · 07/06/2021 22:12

Good luck Nutella! Hope you manage to sleep.

I haven't had the dessert but did have a glass of cava I realised was left in the bottle from the weekend and was surprisingly not flat.

I guess with Egypt looking unlikely now there's no, 'oh my god I've failed because I was meant to be thin by now', deadline anymore. So just keep going and hold onto the fact that it is the 'going in the right direction' bit that counts rather than how fast you're going in that direction when it comes to sustainable weight loss.

Cuzco · 07/06/2021 22:14

Good luck @NutellaEllaElla, hope it goes well tomorrow.

10,700 steps and 1,397 calories. Not particularly nutritionally balanced but it will do. Out for lunch again tomorrow so that will be tougher.

TheHoneyBadger · 07/06/2021 22:17

Xposted. I buy the 30% less one too Flattered - I don't think halloumi is too calorific anyway as cheeses go.

Arms come rather late in the changes from losing weight for me. What I really miss are my cheekbones and jawline - I am possibly more bothered about my face than my body in some ways because bar holidays my body is generally quite tucked away.

FlatteredFool · 07/06/2021 22:21

I've just added everything up from today and I've eaten more than I usually would as had a yogurt mid afternoon along with a fab and fruit and ice cream for pudding. I've eaten plenty of fruit and veg though today so I'm quite happy and still consumed less than my maintenance calories.

Sleep tight Smile

FlatteredFool · 08/06/2021 06:06

Morning all. God knows why I'm up at this time but possibly the steroids. I figured I may as well get up and make a cup of tea and e joy some peace and quiet before the dc wake up. 63.4kg this morning. I'm happy with that and it's given me the boost to keep going. I doubt I'll hit 60 without hugely restricting so slow and steady is my aim and if I can get to 62kg by my birthday to be happy.

Have a great day!

MakkaPakkas · 08/06/2021 07:23

Good luck Nutella! Hope your first day goes well

Cuzco · 08/06/2021 07:31

That sounds very sensible and sustainable @FlatteredFool - good plan.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/06/2021 07:33

Well done flattered and all. People seem to be doing well while enjoying themselves NB. Love the sound of the halloumi wrap, do you toast it? I use the full fat stuff when teamed with plenty of veg as it usually is, I don't worry at all. I use all full fat bar milk for frother as it doesn't work great. Down to 8st9.75 this AM but knew I must not have eaten enough yesterday so am fuelling up today. But delighted with that nonetheless. Nutella, the very best of luck to you! A short week at least. Have a good day all!

Octopus37 · 08/06/2021 07:47

All this talk of halloumi is making me fancy something with that for dinner tonight. On the subject of chocolate bars, I bought a Cadbury Neopolitan bar in B&M yesterday, very nice. 9st3.75 this morning, steps and water good yesterday, as ever food less so.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/06/2021 08:12

Count all those pluses Octopus! Every one. Yes I agree, halloumi in my basket today, I'll make a ratatouille later. Bought Tesco feta a few weeks ago, ate it Friday, unopened till then and well within date, but it was completely tasteless. So disappointing. Not sure if fridge in work almost froze it but it put me off completely.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/06/2021 08:13

I do think this is the only diet thread where we're recommending cheeses and chocolate bars Grin

FlatteredFool · 08/06/2021 10:00

My advice is to eat normal food as detox is what your liver and kidneys do anyway. Detox juices are just a fad and won't make any long term difference. Plus they are probably very expensive and won't give you what your body needs. My own recommendation is sensible eating, intermittent fasting and being as active as possible. I don't ahead follow my own recommendations though!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/06/2021 10:29

What flattered said! Smile

FlatteredFool · 08/06/2021 10:32

Oooh that comment went poof!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/06/2021 10:34

Oh Grin Strange no message.

TheHoneyBadger · 08/06/2021 11:35

I reported it as spam. Just a sales bot.

Back from the gym. Did legs, abs and hips on weight machines then 3miles uphill on the treadmill and allegedly burned 460cals.

Going to have steak tonight for a good protein hit after working muscles hard.

Scales were the same as yesterday.

FlatteredFool · 08/06/2021 11:45

I admire your gym-going.

I'm having a halloumi, beetroot, baby leaf, and red pepper hummus wrap for lunch with homemade raspberry lemonade. I don't toast the wrap but I could I suppose. We've been to the skate park this morning and ds wants to go back there later so I'm getting some walking in.

MakkaPakkas · 08/06/2021 18:07

Doing ok today
11,000 steps so far
B. Slice of toast butter & marmalade. Coffee
L. Egg & cress sandwich, bit of left over halloumi salad
D. Salmon, potatoes spinach, lemon butter dressing
That tots up to just over 1000 calories so I've either miscounted or I'll be hungry later. If I am I'll have fruit and ice-cream

TheHoneyBadger · 08/06/2021 19:52

Steak didn’t happen due to ds being argumentative and big saga so I had two tiger bread rolls with ham and hummus and a slice of lemon cheesecake. Rubbish I know.

On the other hand I’ve burned I’ll have burned at least 2.5k Cala by end of day thanks to gym then keeping moving running errands.

Seriously tired. Teen is hard work currently and I’m not sleeping properly.

Sorry very me me me.
