May I lose more this month

Apologies, cannot remember who's idea this was for a thread title, but I have stolen it.

9st3.75 this morning, meaning I am 0.25 down from the start of April. Not great, but I did get up to 9st7 in April, so I'll take that. Would be delighted if I could lose a pound this month. Lets hope the weather picks up, I'm sure that will help everyone.

Hi all, also off the rails. Not tracking reliably and feel like I'm just clinging on to maintenance cals.

Had some fizz for anniversary yesterday, lots of random snacking today. Been very hungry today with AF due tomorrow. Will avoid scales for now as I just feel heavy and don't want to piss myself off 😁

Birthday Saturday and DHs early next week so realistically just need to limit the damage and get back on the bandwagon after all the celebrations.

May is always fun but foody for me!

Octopus37 · 06/05/2021 07:37

Ate loads yesterday, totally admit it was emotional eating cause feel so stressed, overwhelmed, tired, vague period has turned into a proper period. Trying to change mindset instead of feeling that everything is too much. 9st4.5 this morning, thought it was going to be worse

Weigh day: down 1kg which nudges total loss so far just past the 2 stone mark. Very relieved after my food intake has been so poor, but I think all of the long walks DH and I did while away for our anniversary helped and dodging vegetables. Most excitingly, I was able to do my rain coat up around my hips for the first time since before my first pregnancy in late 2017.

I'm now 77.4kg/ 12.1 stone. My next goal is still 75kg and I'd like to get there by the end of the month but as always, not really putting timings on it.

Interestingly, whilst the numbers are good, I do feel my tummy is more bloated again after April's excesses. I really need to find some exercises to do in the evenings as it's so flabby, but if never occurs to me when I'm flopped in front of the tele!

Cuzco · 06/05/2021 08:01

@Octopus37 Hope the stress eases off a bit soon. It's so hard to watch what you eat when you don't have a clear head.

@TheHoneyBadger Did you mange the fast and decent meal?

@Hangoverstruggles Your May sounds like my April!

stressbandit · 06/05/2021 08:03

I was doing so well got down to 14stone7 from 14.13 in a week. Last few days I've ate ridiculously bad and now I'm back to 14.9. I need to get down to 13 stone and I'm quite comfortable being there. Because I'm tall when I'm under that I look emaciated.
I'm finding it so hard to find food that's feel me up but also motivation for the gym I'm so bored of it all ready.
I go away in 9 weeks and would love to be 13 stone so 1 stone 7 to get off.

NutellaEllaElla · 06/05/2021 08:37

Major congratulations @Cuzco!

@stressbandit, it might not be as bad as you think, I usually suffer 1-2lbs of bloat after a few days off schedule. Get back on it and you will likely see it drop quickly.

TheHoneyBadger · 06/05/2021 09:01

Well done Cuzco that’s great progress.

I had one of my virtually asleep and then wake up with junk food compulsion attacks. So yes I had a really good fast and dinner but then sleep-ate crisps and biscuits.

Gym later. Will weigh tomorrow.

Octopus37 · 06/05/2021 15:19

@Cuzco thats an amazing loss and @stressbandit thats also an amazing loss in a week even with the added two pounds, wow

stressbandit · 06/05/2021 15:50

@Octopus37 I think it's because I pushed myself ridiculously hard and practically ate the bare minimum which isn't great as I'm now finding it super hard to keep up. I'll go to the gym again tomorrow and the weekend and hope for a 1lb off by MondaySad

TheHoneyBadger · 06/05/2021 18:50

Hour on the treadmill. I’m icing my ankle now then will wrap it tight and elevate. Really good to get some decent cardio at last.

Bit scared of the scales tomorrow.

NutellaEllaElla · 06/05/2021 20:24

Grin It's my weigh day tomorrow and I'm scared too 🤣

Octopus37 · 07/05/2021 07:07

9st3.5 today, ate loads of carbs yesterday and feel bloated so thought it would be more. Happy Friday all

NutellaEllaElla · 07/05/2021 08:24

Damn, i'm up 3lbs on this time last week! Anyone heard of an upwards whoosh before?! That bank holiday weekend has a helluva lot to answer for.

TheHoneyBadger · 07/05/2021 12:17

I was 13:7.2 today which is 0.4 above my lowest but nearly a pound down on last Friday so it'll do. Not been my best week.

Good couple of days and it will be gone Nutella.

I've got a break then two more lessons and then I am heading home for the weekend. My gym buddy is the one who drives and she's away for the weekend so no gym for me now until at least Monday. Must try and motivate myself to keep up my steps somehow.

TheHoneyBadger · 07/05/2021 17:01

Just ordered pizza. A fuck it moment I’m afraid. I’m knackered and hungry and unsure what time ds will be back as he’s gone to the gym with a friend so pizza it is. And cheesy chips Blush

I just want junk food and my sofa and a blanket this evening.

Going to need to be seriously good this weekend.

Octopus37 · 07/05/2021 19:32

Enjoy. My DS has gone wayward tonight and is going to get himself a kebab on the way home. Just ordered Md's for DS2. DH is picking up fish and chips for me, my Dad and him. My Dad's big concern is that there might be too many chips, cannot imagine having such worries lol

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 07/05/2021 20:45

My mum always worries about that!

Didn't eat too much of the take away. Wasn't great but filled a need for carbs, fat and salt.

Octopus37 · 08/05/2021 08:37

Fish and chips were good, @TheHoneyBadger funny that your Mum has the same worry. Can only hope that she is less difficult than my Dad. The prodigal Son returned with his kebab. Dad left half his chips. I ate all mine, up 0.75 this morning. Meant to be going for an outside meal and drinks with friends at 7pm but very rainy here at the moment.

I dropped off the thread! I'm sure I weighed in last week. Anyway despite having a bit of a bad week I'm down 3/4lb, now at my lowest since some point in 2018.

drspouse · 08/05/2021 09:35

(I did do a fair bit of walking and a long swim).

TheHoneyBadger · 08/05/2021 12:03

Well done spouse.

I wouldn’t call her easy octopus.

My weight is up as you’d expect after takeaway. I also got hungry later and ate a big bowl of prawns.

Really tired and it’s grey and rainy today so don’t think I’ll be burning much today.

TheHoneyBadger · 08/05/2021 12:15

I think in my mum’s case she actually needs something to moan or worry or be negative about so if she’s channeling it into telling my dad she told him there’d be too many chips then that’s kind of a win. It could be worse.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 08/05/2021 20:17

Well done on all the losses and the hanging on in there maintenances! Honeybadger can't believe your ankle still giving such problems, very unlucky.

I was 9st 3, first day of period yesterday, had best day in a while today so I'm logging Grin Apart from today I feel like my aim in life this week was to eat as much as I could... Such bad habits.
B: cappuccino, banana, mandarin, natural yoghurt and quinoa crunch
D: battered cod, mash and beans
S: 3 viscounts
Over 12k steps minimum. I have the ingredients for decent lunches so going to spend some time prepping tomorrow for the week ahead. So much for me is planning and not getting too hungry so that floodgates open!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 09/05/2021 08:01

9st2.5 today. Good enough. Big walk planned and an early night.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 09/05/2021 08:11

Oh and water water water!
