Apologies, cannot remember who's idea this was for a thread title, but I have stolen it.

9st3.75 this morning, meaning I am 0.25 down from the start of April. Not great, but I did get up to 9st7 in April, so I'll take that. Would be delighted if I could lose a pound this month. Lets hope the weather picks up, I'm sure that will help everyone.

Weighed today although I was going to wait until Sunday, but just couldn’t- 12st 5!

NutellaEllaElla · 14/05/2021 13:05

Yay! Well done @Onesnowynight! Lovely to see people's good work.

Good to see you again @Monochrome4.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/05/2021 13:24

Well done onesnowynight!
Waves to Monochrome!

Pinotwoman82 · 14/05/2021 14:15

Ah well done heygirlheyboy that is my goal.
I’ve been using those huel milkshakes they are very filling. What is this about the water?

NutellaEllaElla · 14/05/2021 14:46

There's lots of evidence to suggest that water aids weight loss. Here's a quick summary

Pinotwoman82 · 14/05/2021 15:58

Ah brill I shall definitely add more water to my diet, I find it quite boring but I guess adding a lemon or something to it may help?

NutellaEllaElla · 14/05/2021 16:46

I went through a phase of trying lemon, herbs, fruit etc but nothing really improved it. You get used to it though. It's best cold (hotly debated online lol but I find the flavour is less weird if it's that way inclined if it's cold) so I keep a jug in the fridge.

Octopus37 · 14/05/2021 17:39

Hi Monochrome. Well done @Onesnowynight. Had quite a good day so far today, tried to focus on healthy eating, not had dinner yet and not sure that will be but so far.

Breakfast - Cereal bar (195 cals)
Lunch - Salmon and Beetroot salad, Berry Blast Tropicana, Mango chunks (425 cals)
Mr Kipling chocolate whirl (171 cals)

Not perfect but for me 791 cals so far quite good going. Wouldn't normally have the Tropicana drink but was feeling under the weather and it was part of a meal deal. Will weigh in tomorrow. Same old, meeting with a friend tomorrow but will try and keep cals reasonable.

Thanks everyone. It’s definitely given me the motivation I need!

TheHoneyBadger · 14/05/2021 19:47

Welcome back mono well done on maintenance.

I’m shattered but happy it’s the weekend.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/05/2021 21:06

That's a v good day octopus, hope you enjoy a lovely dinner. Teeth brushed, skin lotions slathered on, logging in.
Strawberries and Greek yoghurt
Butternut squash and coconut milk soup
Burger and chips
S: apple, mandarin and closed handful almonds.
Water not so bad, 2L I'd say. Will walk tomorrow.

Cuzco · 14/05/2021 22:13

Welcome returners and newbies!

Checking in again for accountability. Mixed day because I saw a friend who'd bought some cookies especially for my visit and it would have been rude not to have one. Then she made me a sandwich for lunch and DH and I had a takeaway for dinner, so the calories are an educated guess rather than accurate, but, most importantly, one cookie aside, no snacks.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/05/2021 22:27

I'm nearly breaking out in a rash at the thought of just one cookie Grin I can actually feel the compulsion from here! Huge well done to you and your restraint! Off to bed here. Can't stay awake these days.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/05/2021 08:34

13:5.8. As predicted a bm was the key. Glad to see a new low. That’s 20lbs since February.

Gym at 10.

NutellaEllaElla · 15/05/2021 08:39

Gosh people are doing so well!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/05/2021 08:54

Wohooh Honeybadger! Star That's amazing!

Octopus37 · 15/05/2021 09:04

That's fantastic @TheHoneyBadger, 9st3.5 this morning which was a pleasant surprise.

Thank you Smile

Well done everyone.

I'm a tad gutted that I'm still going to be considerably fat when I go away this summer. If I hadn't fallen off the wagon in the winter lockdowns I would be 12 lbs lighter now but hey ho. I shall wobble around in kaftans and try not to be mortified at the beach.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/05/2021 09:11

Great octopus! Same again for me this morning, 8st 13.75. Off for a walk now, a fasted breakfast is meant to be good apparently. I was too lazy to get up earlier so we shall see! Have a lovely Saturday everyone and drink more water!!

NutellaEllaElla · 15/05/2021 09:20

Did you know that crumpets are only 97 calories? With a spot of marmite, alongside scrambled eggs it felt like a breakfast fit for a queen.

drspouse · 15/05/2021 09:24

1/4 lb off, baby steps, not seen this weight since 2018.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/05/2021 10:55

Haven't had crumpets in ages but yes they are yum and good calorie value. I very rarely eat bread products and when I buy them they end up going off other than the tortillas I buy for ds's packed lunches.

NutellaEllaElla · 15/05/2021 11:01

They freeze well

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/05/2021 11:23

Well done drspouse. Don't know what a crumpet is! (Irish)

TheHoneyBadger · 15/05/2021 12:55

Gym was hard work. Vaccine effects still going strong - I was sweating on the treadmill and boiling and freezing at the same time so didn't do as much as usual. Did weights after. Doubt I'll be doing much else today.

Nutella they do but I've only got 3 drawers in my freezer so space is tricky and quite a lot of room gets taken up by chickens wings and mince for the dog.
