Oh god everyone I’ve had a cooking disaster and spent hours making curry paste from scratch etc and curry is VILE now we are starving Sad
Also my ivf meds have given me acne.
How do I sign up for a new life lol.

Happierwithouthim · 26/07/2021 22:38

They were in the baking press box when we moved because I knew I'd be making brown bread. Oh I hope guy comes to sort out kitchen this week so I can unpack some bit.

Actually didn't eat all my sweets at cinema, felt sick from the rubbish.

My Fitbit is dead charger at work, it can stay there, I almost always hit 10k steps when I'm not at work.

Gen that's so disappointing is it retrievable?

I saw a nice chicken dish in a creme fraiche sauce in you magazine, must do a trial run because I'll make it for my friends sat night if it's good

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2021 06:48

Oh no that is disappointing gen,

Not2bObvious · 27/07/2021 07:09

That's a pain gen, infuriating to spend so much time and it not turn out right.
Down 4 on yesterday's number. So still up a lot but a hairs breath under 12 stone which is my oh oh point.
Now to keep working my way away from it.

Scales hovering on 14st Sad
Will continue taking water retention tablets but this is not good. Some will be due to wine at weekend but my weight is creeping up.

Not2bObvious · 27/07/2021 13:12

You'll get it in hand happier, it's such a swine how easy it goes on and how hard to get it off. But chip chip chip, you'll get it off. You're well able.
Just finished my salad'ey lunch. I'll probably need a mid afternoon snack but it was nice. On 6,000 steps so a ways to go, knackered today

Happierwithouthim · 27/07/2021 13:21

I'd scrambled egg for breakfast, roll with ham cheese and coleslaw for lunch & I think I'll defrost salmon for dinner & actually cook some veg

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2021 18:08

Big fruit scone for lunch, fruit granola and yog with toast and jam for breakfast. Aiming for calories not macros

Mrsmadevans · 27/07/2021 18:21

Leg is not good atm Hmm .Thank you for asking Not Smile
Gen every spot is a spot of hope Flowers
l think l am going to go to the GP re my leg/back pain. It is really getting me down now , l need to sort it . I know l need to lose weight but l remember last time l had it l took stronger pain killers px by the GP and had physio , which really helped, so l think l will try to get referred for physio.I have been to see my friend today which has cheered me up she's a proper tonic .
Keep going me hearties Smile

Not2bObvious · 27/07/2021 18:45

Definitely go to the doctor mrs, ongoing pain is very hard and hopefully treatableThanks
Around 600 cals left out of 1800, but I think I'll try stick to using 300-400. Bit sore after yesterday's weights

Happierwithouthim · 27/07/2021 21:56

Ok I need to go back to mfp or something, I had no internet before so didn't do tracking but I don't have that excuse anymore. No children next week either so I can be super organised.

Have two extra children for sleepover tonight so all's quiet here with happy children.

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 07:06

A good start would be to track, if you felt like a change you could do a trial with nutracheck? Loads seem to love it, I know there's a cost but sometimes an investment can be focussing.
Down another bit today, long may it continue. More chance of that if I keep to my plan I guess. Weights day today

Thank you Not ringing the Dr today ❤️🤗

Gensola · 28/07/2021 09:49

Good luck with GP mrs I hope they can offer you something to help quickly.
I want to set a good calorie goal with a decent deficit but which is sustainable - are there any groups or websites people would recommend? I’m quite short so I think to lose I need to be on quite strict cals sadly.
Also want to add weight training back in, 2-3 times a week ideally. We have a lot of kit at home from lockdown so I just need to get it out and work out where I can do the exercise in my tiny house (garden way too overlooked Grin )

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 13:14

Have you been tracking your calories gen? The reason I ask is it looks like what you're doing now is maintaining your current weight - I think you said you'd been the same the last couple/few weeks? If I've got that right, I'd cut your cals by 250-350 a day, slow and steady - most importantly sustainable. That should yield you 1-1.5kg a month I'd reckon.
I'm with Preece nutrition on Facebook, £4.99 a month, cancel any time. Very supportive even though I'm not looking for help much, just enjoying the group.

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 13:16

Best of luck mrs, don't downplay your pain and don't take no for an answer. My doctor seems to think anyone asking for pain meds is one step away from a crack addict, other doctor thinks I'm one step away from 600lb life😂 Oh no, I'm not bitter

Mrsmadevans · 28/07/2021 13:20

Oh Not 💐 sorry you have been treated so badly lovely 😞
Gen l used to just eat non processed foods as much ask wanted , naturally filling and because they were practically devoid of carbs l was never. Hungry . I did find it utterly boring though 🙄
Have spoken to Gp , he has px Co Codamol and Gabapentin which l had before , apparently l can self refer for physio !

Gensola · 28/07/2021 13:28

not lol my doctor is the same - after my leg surgery she claimed that paracetamol and codeine was “all there was” in terms of pain relief. She has also made comments about my weight re IVF when my BMI was 25.4 at the time so barely overweight!

I have maintained at 62/63kg for about 4 months now. My GW is 59kg so I’m so close but can’t get under 60 for some reason. BMI is still 25ish, so I should be able to lose more! I’d like to lose before IVF meds start late August as that stalls everything.
Will check out Preece nutrition.

mrs you’re so right about the clean eating, I notice I lose most consistently when I just cut out all junk but I can’t seem to stick to it 🤪

Mrsmadevans · 28/07/2021 15:44

Maintenance is one of the hardest things to control, that is excellent you have maintained that for 4 months Gen
Re eating clean, it's so boring , it works but it's just dire 🙄😞

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 16:15

I've never managed to stick to clean eating to see a result so I'll have to take your words for it. I can do a semi clean diet for a few days, then I crack. Key for me is to get more good days than bad, not a defeatist I just know I'll never get a full week. I get 80/20 on good days & prob 40/60 on weekends. Have to say maintaining through the hard few months is really something gen, good for you
Glad the doctor helped mrs, hope you feel some relief soon.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2021 16:36

I can also clean eat for a bit then the ends of the week comes and all the fresh healthy stuff has gone

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 19:47

Today's going to be a maintenance day if I can squeeze in a few more steps. I'd say I'll see a flux on the SOD in the morning due to carbs, oh well

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2021 19:50

I’ve eaten my feelings today

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2021 19:55

Ate & drank them here so you're in good/bad company
