That sounds nasty em, hope you're recovered now?
Massive spike on the scales - no mystery, heavy weekend and we don't even have a bank holiday, ours is next weekend. Feeling very sad but trying to pull myself up to start work and lift my mood.

Em hope you feel much better now lovely Flowers
Not it's all water, try not to weigh if you can Smile
Gen it's scary l know , it seems like everything we put in our mouths is bad for us Hmm
Not been too bad but nowhere near what l should be doing , hey ho , it's a BH and l am not going to beat myself up over it .
Have a lovely day everyone Smile

Not2bObvious · 31/05/2021 13:53

Ah yeah, it should drop as the week goes on, it's just tragic how badly the scales affects me. But I'm too undisciplined to risk not weighing. Anywho, it'll be fine.
Hope you're all having a fab BH, lovely & sunny here but working so not getting as much of it as I'd like but at least I'm at home so I can pop in/out to the garden for breaks. Just over 7,000 steps done, a few to go

Tried a bit today to cut back on junk and processed stuff but it's pretty hard, even stuff you think isn't that processed is to a degree. Like wholemeal bread, where would that fall? Had some fruit & popcorn as my evening snack, although I must admit to a mini icecream (x2Blush) And I swapped chips for salad. So I've hit decent fibre today so that's a bonus. 1400 cals, 13,000 steps and not feeling hungry. Better end to a day that started potentially rocky.
How's you all doing? Very quiet round here, probably out having fun - no restaurants outdoor dining for another week here

Yesterday’s food was relatively good I think.

Pancakes with eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Orzo pasta salad for lunch.
Beer can chicken on bbq, slaw and new potatoes.
Lots of water.
Non alcoholic beer.

I’m going for smaller portions.

This morning I’ve had special k with sultanas flax seeds chia seeds and pumpkin seeds. And a tea.

Gensola · 01/06/2021 08:27

em that sounds really nasty, I hope you’re feeling better Flowers

So far today have had Greek yoghurt with raspberries and blueberries and hazelnuts.
DH has left me a chicken salad for lunch in the fridge (I am WFH as not on half term this week, he is on half term and is going to see PILs today, taking MIL hospital to see FIL)
Dinner is going to be a prawn and veg thai curry with cauliflower rice.

My legs are still so sore and swollen, this procedure is really no joke! I have been allowed to WFH this week, back in from Monday.

ememem84 · 01/06/2021 08:38

Thanks gen such a silly thing to do! Make sure you all drink gallons of water when taking tablets. It’s not worth it to cheat and just have a teeny sip.

Gaviscon has been my gross friend.

Not2bObvious · 01/06/2021 09:00

Your poor legs gen, another week will make all the difference I'm sure.
Scales down a fair bit (4.2 from yesterday's initial bonkers weight!) so only up .8 from Friday, which of course was 1lb from the previous Friday but such is (my) life as a greedy guzzler😉
About to start work, weights planned for lunchtime

I think I gave myself sun stroke this weekend. Felt hideous and food all over. Not many steps today as being kind to myself.

Rest up gen. It was major surgery

Not2bObvious · 01/06/2021 14:47

That's nasty life, I've never experienced that but I believe it very unpleasant. Take it easy & keep well hydrated I reckon?
Did a workout off YouTube, a 30 minute jog/20 min walk - bit tired now

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2021 19:46

Lots and lots of hydration and eating my feelings. Bizarrely since I stopped tracking and just eating my macros my fingernails are stronger. Clearly getting a more balanced diet now.
Feel much better today. Might do some aerobics tomorrow

ememem84 · 01/06/2021 22:03

Did my 6 monthly declutter today so no gym workouts for me! Just house work. But have shifted a lot of stuff. And managed 8672 steps. Which is a lot for a day at home for me.

I barely sat down though. Just kept moving.

Snacked on apple and grapes this morning and a herbal tea. Lunch was salad cucumber spinach slaw and smoked salmon which I adore and randomly found some in the freezer as I was sorting it out. Dh hates the stuff so it was a proper treat!

Dinner - home made flat bread humous and veggies. I had a g&t to reward myself for my hard work. And some leftover crumble. Mmm.

Watched the bbc ultra processed food documentary on I player. Really interesting. And worrying.

Not2bObvious · 01/06/2021 22:19

Just over 12,000 steps and a pretty decent food day. Bit of junk but not a lot, hard habits to break. Had fruit & veg as well so that's a plus. Making an effort at least. Fair amount of fluids too which has been lacking for the last while. Off to bed & hoping for an uninterrupted sleep, awake for 1-2 hours each night for the last 3 consecutive days, weary with it.

Not2bObvious · 02/06/2021 07:17

Slept marginally better. Scales down .2 overnight. I suppose at least it's heading in the right direction. Bit achey today so yesterday's different weight program hit different, that's good

OP posts:
Gensola · 02/06/2021 11:55

64kg still, exactly what I was before surgery Confused I guess I should be glad I’m maintaining despite literally no movement or exercise!
GW is 59kg, why is the last bit so hard!
Looking forward to getting back on the bike and out walking.

I love decluttering em, in my dream life I would do it for a living!

ememem84 · 02/06/2021 12:12

78.9kg. Goal is 75kg. Then after that ideally 68kg as that was pre both baby and lockdown weight.

But slow and steady.

10150 steps recorded. I’ve just been for a ride. It is humid today. So have probably hopefully sweated off about 10kg….!!!!

Out to lunch with dparents now. Just to the pub. Choices are light salad lunch and dinner with dh. Or bigger lunch and potentially just a small snackette later. Hmmm.

Getting hair done later too so need to take a fruit pot or something with me. Usually I’d take crisps.

Mrsmadevans · 02/06/2021 13:04

Been busy so not online much yesterday 🤗
Have been trying to get back to a good place but when is it Bank holidays make me go off the rails big time 🙄 hey ho 🙄 off to work l go again 🤗
Hope everyone is ok not had time to catch up yet 😊❤️

Not2bObvious · 02/06/2021 22:53

I'm completely lost with kgs but I get the gist as I see 3kg as 7lb'ish, 6 as 14lb. Is it weird that I think in pounds/stones? It's really mixed here on mn with weight measures where (mostly I think) in Ireland it's stones. Although my doctor uses kg 🤔 Feck knows, I'd like the one that feels less!
Bit over today due to celebration, but I reckon I saved enough from Monday/Tuesday. It's our BH this coming weekend so the holiday spirit may have started a little early 😊

Not2bObvious · 03/06/2021 07:41

Spike of 1.2 today, not surprising as had a fair bit of food yesterday. Haven't confessed all to mfp yet but I should so I can keep track. EP over tonight so potential for more wine, although if I have some it'll be a very measured amount. Got stuff to do tomorrow.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 03/06/2021 11:39

Down to 78kg. I put this down to no dinner. A big ish lunch and sweating in the hair dressers chair for 4 hours….

Not2bObvious · 03/06/2021 15:28

4 hours??? That's hardcore, did it turn out well? I'm absolutely knackered, got just over 9,000 steps, be lucky to get to 10,000 but that's fine.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 03/06/2021 17:53

Not2bObvious · 03/06/2021 22:15

If you're fasting all day mrs, I'm not surprised, I'm like that if my lunch is late😂 Hangry isn't the word! Bit over today but not bad considering. Away for the long weekend, I cannot bloody wait

OP posts:
Gensola · 04/06/2021 14:37

I couldn’t fast all day, there’d be deaths! I am done for the week now, thank god! Utterly exhausted. Going to see a friend in Bath tomorrow which will be nice. Also have the green light to start walking 30 mins a day from surgeon and light exercise from Weds this week, can’t wait to get back to it!

Mrsmadevans · 04/06/2021 17:05
