not there was only a tiny bit of leakage on the dressings this morning so I’m planning to take them off when DH gets back from work and can help me wash.
Well done on the accidental fasting! I need to get back to all my healthy routines. I usually find it easy to skip breakfast, so it’s an easy win for me to cut cals that way if I just get into the habit of it.

ememem84 · 22/05/2021 14:17

Up a smidge today but didn’t drink enough water yesterday.

Been riding. Made leg situation worse! 😂

Not2bObvious · 22/05/2021 23:41

Haven't gone overboard with snacks but exceeded drinks limit. Had a v enjoyable evening, hoping not to pay for it tomorrow

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 23/05/2021 10:12

Up 1.2 overnight, down .6 this week on average so I'm pleased with that. I'm a bit lighter than last Sunday and I hope to keep the cals under 1800 today so I don't start the week too much on the back foot.
Rubbish sleep after the wine so lazing for now. Due a workout, I'll see how it goes

OP posts:
Gensola · 23/05/2021 10:27

I had a couple of glasses of wine last night, big mistake as it’s left me feeling wretched. Silly me. No more booze til I’m recovered.

Not2bObvious · 23/05/2021 13:49

I know how you feel gen, I'm a bit better after my workout but a bit rough this morning. Hope the effects wear off soon

OP posts:
Gensola · 24/05/2021 07:10

I’m feeling a lot better today not but need to stay off the vino, my body does not need extra challenges right now lol!
I’m reading the book Why we eat (too much) which is extremely interesting but quite sciency (my eyes did skim over some of the many many studies he uses to back up what he is saying Grin) and it seems to be suggesting that western food does things to our epigenetics and our digestive system which means it’s more likely we will become obese, and that some people have various genes which are “switched on” by these foods to make them really hungry all the time. It has definitely put me off processed food and oil - for now anyway Grin

Not2bObvious · 24/05/2021 10:39

I know why I eat too much, I'm a greedy lump😂 I've seen other threads on that book, I'm sure there's good knowledge in it and if it encourages good eating then it's a positive.
Attempting a breakfast skip, haven't weighed today as I'm sure it would be upsetting. I think I'll enter yesterday's weight as my starting weight today, that would probably be fair/accurate enough since I was 1.6 up on Friday. Got a walk in before work so I'm nearly at 9,000 - might be going for a coffee walk soon

Glad you are feeling better today Gen
Good going Not Smile
Have been quite good over the weekend but finding it hard .
IT'S NOT EASY THIS LARK IS IT!

Not2bObvious · 24/05/2021 19:21

Hung on til nearly 12.30 for lunch, so saved a few hundred by no brekkie, left 350 behind and kitchen closed. If I could do that twice a week it might help offset weekend excesses, it did last week.
Just about hit my 15,000 so not a bad day all in all.
You're not wrong mrs, it's bloody tough and so all consuming sometimes

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 25/05/2021 08:35

Up early, did 25 mins body pump to ease myself back in and then a 40 min jog. Just over 8,000 done, ideally 7,000 to go but 3-4,000 would do. Delicious breakfast after my shower and now just chilling til 9am work start. Ahhh bliss😬

Well done Not fabulous 2 days work 👏👏👏
Am just coming home from shopping am so fed up of my DH'S driving l could scream!
He will not wait his turn in a queue he dies 3 point turns and drives miles out of our way . I can't say anything to him he sulks . He's a lovely man but he gets behind the wheel and turns into the biggest asshole God ever put breath in sometimes. 😜
This may drive me to comfort scoff l am afraid 🙄

Not2bObvious · 25/05/2021 13:27

I'm probably too late to stop the comfort scoff but maybe it's not a scoff, it's just lunch😉
When I hear the word scoff, I think french fancies, mini rolls, cake! Soft easy eaten stuff, and now I'd love any or all of those😂

Gensola · 25/05/2021 21:04

mrs my DH who is normally very placid randomly sometimes gets fits of road rage and starts gesticulating and flashing people. It freaks me out because I always worry they will be a psycho with a hammer under their seat! Men!
Food today was ok but I’m so sedentary now with the leg. Next operation is tomorrow, so hopefully I can get back to exercise in a few weeks.
My leg is now really swollen so it doesn’t look much different to the original leg. I keep looking at the pics I took before the swelling kicked in to try and reassure myself that it will go back down. Bit worried it won’t and I’ll have done this all for nothing Shock

Mrsmadevans · 25/05/2021 22:42

Gen l know exactly what you are saying , my Dh is getting older and l am afraid these mad men with the Hammers and baseball bats will stop his car and give him a good pasting too! Hmm
Good luck for tomorrow and l think the swelling is perfectly normal you wait until you see them after a couple of months! Flowers
Not it wasn't too bad a scoff so don't worry bout stopping me! Grin

Not2bObvious · 26/05/2021 07:34

Good luck for tomorrow gen, and don't stress about the first leg, clearly just swelling.
Scales between a right sod, trying to accept it without question though so let's see how that goes. I had hoped to lose .8 from last Friday to this Friday but it's not looking great.

OP posts:
Gensola · 26/05/2021 15:33

All done and another 2L gone, so 4L in total! Feeling pretty good as the IV sedation hasn’t worn off yet lol so happy as Larry 🤣
Weirdly, I weighed the exact same today prior to surgery as I did last week, despite the fact that they had already removed 2L of fat (which should weigh 2kg, right?) so not sure what to make of that - maybe water retention or swelling?

Not2bObvious · 26/05/2021 17:07

Glad it's all done now gen - I'd have assumed the same as you but it's probably just fluid. This time next week, you'll be in a mini skirt😉

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 26/05/2021 19:51

Need to write off today, started hungry and ended with a takeaway (chipper), wine (2 glasses) and chocolate (a bar and a bit) Some days are just a bloody challenge. No doubt the sod will go bonkers tomorrow as my reward.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 26/05/2021 21:46

That is brilliant Gen glad you are ok SmileFlowers yes to the SOD weighing you with water on the legs , once you are fully recovered l would say at least 5 lbs off SmileFlowers
Not some day are just like this Hmm write it off, draw a line , don't weigh if you can help it Flowers
I have been ok but just ok , l had chips tonight too Not Hmm

Gensola · 26/05/2021 22:09

not write it off, sometimes days like this just happen!

mrs thank you, that’s really cheered me up!

Food today: lunch provided by clinic was a chicken sandwich on brown, I had about 3/4 of it as I was feeling sick but they need you to eat before you can go.
Snack: apple and cheese cubes, tea, coffee. Later on tonic water and olives.
Dinner: veg tagine and bulgur wheat with goat cheese, made by DH. Would have liked wine but learned that lesson. Need to wait for the IV sedatives to leave my system.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/05/2021 07:24

Great news gen. Pleased the second surgery went ok

Not2bObvious · 27/05/2021 13:30

Only had an iced coffee (160 cals) til lunch, weighed in at 1pm. Down .6 from yesterday but still up on last week.
Weights done first thing, jog/walk, now on just over 13,000.
How you feeling today gen?

Excellent work Not
I have been ok but we are having a takeaway tonight because l have just had a fill of today . Mum had an attack of Vertigo and Bob had a bad back , they had run out of coal and Dh had to go searching for it from all over the county , while l sorted the Drs and the resulting prescriptions for them both. We were there for hours, they are fine now so hey ho , home now!
