lifelongfrugaleer · 19/05/2021 18:35

1400 calories and 13800 steps

Mrsmadevans · 19/05/2021 19:21

@Gensola

All done and on way home, trussed up in lots of spanx type surgical garments. In a bit of pain but not too bad. They took 2L of diseased fat and fluid - not too shabby!!
So glad you are ok Gen Smile 2 litres is a hellova lot!
Not2bObvious · 19/05/2021 20:54

Just over 16,000 steps and around 1800 cals. Put myself to bed before I do any damage.

Had no sleep at all, it was super weird, I felt like I’d had about 18 coffees and even though I was desperate to sleep I just could not. I’ve now googled it and it’s a side effect of IV sedatives apparently and can last up to a week! 😩😩

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/05/2021 06:55

Ooh the wired feeling is awful. Rest up today and maybe nap. Do you have to try staying mobile or is it lots of sitting?

Not2bObvious · 20/05/2021 07:57

Not sure if general anaesthetic is the same, I remember being incredibly depressed after that and then finding it was common - gee be nice if someone told me the reason I felt like death was normal. You poor thing, that so hard. The fact that it can doesn't mean it will though, sending sleepy vibes your way.

I saw the results for the first time this morning, DH took a photo for me before I showered and I cried with joy. It has made SUCH a huge difference. I can’t wait for leg 2 now, don’t care how bad it is!!

Not2bObvious · 20/05/2021 08:15

Aww, I'm delighted for you!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/05/2021 10:16

Great news gen

Not2bObvious · 21/05/2021 07:38

Down 1.2 on last Friday, so 161.8 - very pleased with it. I'd love to see 161 next Friday.
Hope we're all in good humour, did you manage to get any rest gen? Or are you just admiring your lovely leg as well you should😉

I fell off (again) but am going to stick to the thread this time.

Weigh in this morning 78.6kg. I’m essentially 1kg down in the last week. Woop.

Gym now.

Gensola · 21/05/2021 12:43

not I managed a really good nights sleep which has made me feel so much better. Took some more progress pics today, am so amazed at the difference it’s made to the shape and size of my leg, I’ll never have thin barbie pins but they are now actually in proportion!
Looking forward to the draining process being over so I can just wear normal clothes and not the surgical garments which are so uncomfortable. Hopefully it will stop leaking today so I can take the dressings off tomorrow.

ememem84 · 21/05/2021 13:41

Can’t sit down for too long. Loads of squats today. Sigh.

Not2bObvious · 21/05/2021 13:49

That's great gen, fingers x'ed you can get rid of the dressings soon.
Weights/treadmill jog done so will take it relatively easy for the rest of the day, need some steps.

Not2bObvious · 22/05/2021 08:34

Sorry you're feeling so low, take a break and come back when you feel better if you fancy. Probably still be here bemoaning the good/bad days! Anything that doesn't add to your life and can be omitted should be. In kind of MN speak, you're invited to post on a thread, it's not mandatory (in the manner of wedding invite, invitation not order) Feel betterThanks

Be great if you could get a walk in gen, is your leg v painful after the op? How's the dressings situation going?
Good for you getting back into it mrs, so many ways to do IF. I inadvertently had 2 x 16/8 days during the week and it reduced my cals quite a bit. Or should I skipped breakfast!
Up a bit today which is usual Saturday situation but it's not because of Friday piggery, ate just over 2,000 with well controlled alcohol/snacks. Looking at a .7 loss on average at the moment, that'll do nicely.
