Any doing Exante?

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

@imnotprincessbubblegum Don't get disheartened, weight fluctuates even when you have a lot to lose. Different people lose at different rates, and people talk a lot about non scale victories too. Maybe take some measurements to see how that goes.

MajorNeville · 25/04/2021 12:00

@Noneofthathere I'm doing the 800, I did plan on doing it for 12 weeks and then going to 1200, but I'm finding it easier than I expected and although I have been off plan, I've never been over 1000 for the day. I'm older now, at 54 and find I can't lose as fast as I once could, but I'm now 13lbs less than I was at the start and another 6 weeks I'll be even less, that's got to be better than nothing! I started back at the gym this week too, so have had to account for that with an extra few calories those days.

Before I started I couldn't believe I could have a 200 cal meal and it feel like I've even eaten, but I've done really well, prawns and eggs and lots of vegetables are the way!

Noneofthathere · 25/04/2021 13:16

@MajorNeville that sounds really good. I'm not sure I'll manage 12 weeks. Now places are opening up I'd really like to go out for a meal, but thinking I could get in to the 800 for a couple more weeks and then put in a 1200 day to allow for a meal out. Haven't had alcohol since January so happy to avoid those calories. I'm over 40 and like you said, it doesn't come off easily. Plus I think I've done a bit of yoyoing and that's probably affected metabolism.

Xogarana1988 · 25/04/2021 19:10

@imnotprincessbubblegum

Was down 6lb on day 4, but yesterday and today (day 6 and 7) I'm apparently only down 4lbs since starting Hmmnot sure how that works as I've been 100% on plan. Really was expecting to lose more than 4lbs as you're supposed to lose a large amount the first week right? Plus my starting weight is really high so I assumed I'd lose quite a bit at the beginning. Ah well, not going to let it put me off or get me down. ....i lie. There's people on slimming world, ya know, where you actually get to eat food who are losing more than that per week Envy
I know how you feel, I'm at same stage as you, looks like I've lost about 3.5lb. I was on SW 8 months ago only did it until lockdown put a stop to it and lost 5lb in first week. I don't really understand what is going on.
Xogarana1988 · 25/04/2021 19:14

@imnotprincessbubblegum I did take measurements last Monday so I'm hoping that there will be loss that way if not on the scales.

Mallowmarshmallow · 26/04/2021 07:27

I've just had my first weekly weigh in and have lost 7.5lbs. I'm pretty chuffed with that.

I think I've got another week in me so I'm going for week two. No social engagements are definitely helping me, and I was pleased I made it through the weekend without falling off the wagon, as that's always a danger point for me.

3Britnee · 26/04/2021 07:30

12st 7lb 0oz
FBG: 6.0

I don't know why I do it. I feel like shite, I've got heartburn. I ache. And this all started with buying mushrooms to go on my exante pizza! Because then I thought I need protein in it so bought prawns and then had some with seafood sauce and it all spiralled from there 😖

I'm going to do a 3 day fast starting from 9pm last night - although I'll probably go until 12pm on thursday - and then start back on exante. And then not do this again. I don't even know what kind of diabetic damage I could be doing.

Xogarana1988 · 26/04/2021 09:25

Well weight loss for first week is okay, I was really expecting more for first week, but a loss is a loss.

Start weight: 13 stone 11lb 7oz
Current weight: 13 stone 8lb 7oz
Total lost: 3lb

However I took my measurements last Monday and today and that's where I have seen the difference which makes sense why my jeans are now loose.

Chest - lost 1inch
Hips - lost 1 inch
Waist - lost 2 inches

Total measurement loss: 4 inches.

UpsyDaisysarmpit · 26/04/2021 10:40

I've done my weigh in today, a week after I started and 8lbs10oz down (my scales seem to measure in oz to which is odd!). I am really happy with that.
Sorry to those of you that lost a few lbs and are disappointed. Could it be that you didn't have much 'water weight' to lose in that first week?
In other news, a new order of mostly bars turned up today. Raspberry and white chocolate was ok but not as nice as I'd hoped. I think I prefer the gooey ones.

imnotprincessbubblegum · 26/04/2021 11:01

Hi everyone, well done on your losses, that's brilliant! Star

Honestly didn't think anyone would reply to this post, glad we have this little group Smile

Starting weight: 257lbs (19/4)
Current weight: 250lbs (26/4)
I'm now 100lbs away from a healthy weight which I know is loads but for some reason 100lbs feels like much less than over 100lbs Grin

Well done on the losses. I realised that tomorrow is day 7, I've done nearly a week, it's not long but the fact that I've stuck to it is pretty good compared to some of my efforts.

BlueDahlia69 · 26/04/2021 20:04

you're all doing amazing

Mallowmarshmallow · 27/04/2021 18:44

How's everyone doing this week so far?

I'm doing two shakes and a 400cal meal in the evening and have a chicken salad waiting for me this evening once the kids are in bed.

imnotprincessbubblegum · 27/04/2021 19:04

I thought I'd do the evening meal today, well "meal" I was just going to have soya "chicken" with some garlic and herb dip...got halfway through the pot before checking the calories 232calories!!! 232 calories for a tiny pot of sauce Shock.

Hi all! OK if I join?
I started the 800 plan yesterday...bought the 2 week box.... and have had 3 products plus a 200 cal meal both days. Its going OK, though I do feel thirsty despite drinking (and peeing!) lots, and I've had a bit of a headache on and off. Not felt too hungry though thankfully and I'm quite enjoying finding out which products I like.
I've been really fed up lately with the lockdown weight gain and although I've had good results in the past with SW, I really want something that gives quick results this time as a confidence booster as finding it really hard to maintain motivation on SW at the moment.
I've got about a stone and a half to lose. I'm realising how much I eat through boredom. Live alone and have been WFH for months.
Good to see what people are up to here and I'm also following the official FB page.

3Britnee · 27/04/2021 21:01

12st 9lb, fbg of 7.7 for me today. Tomorrow will be day 1 again.

Noneofthathere · 27/04/2021 21:14

@Mallowmarshmallow all good here, how are you? It's day 7 for me, so I'm giving myself a pat on the back for sticking to it for a whole week. Aiming for another week of 800 cals, currently having 4 products a day so I don't have to think about food at all, which is working well.

Hello @wtf99 I got that box too, good way of getting variety.

Noneofthathere · 27/04/2021 21:21

@imnotprincessbubblegum misreading calories is so upsetting, hope it was good though Smile

WaltzingBetty · 27/04/2021 21:26

Just seen this thread and it's inspiring me to start. I have Exante I've never used in the cupboard. I exercise a fair bit so will do 3 products/day plus a healthy low carb meal and hope I cab stick to it.

I definitely boredom eat and need to stop the wine Hmm

WaltzingBetty · 28/04/2021 08:42

Right just weighed in. 83.8kg.
Would like to lose 6-7kg and get down to 78kg

Noneofthathere · 28/04/2021 09:31

First weekly weigh in, down 10lb/4.5kg. Bloody pleased with that. But I won't say its plain sailing. Hoping to keep going this week.

WTF99 · 28/04/2021 10:05

@WaltzingBetty which plan are you doing?

@Noneofthathere thats amazing! Well done!

I've just had to bin the berry yoghurt museli. First product I've not liked but just couldn't take the oats and sultanas floating in pink sweetened gloop...Envy Won't be ordering that again!

I'm just starting day 3. Feeling a bit listless and headachy today. I've read that day 3 is the worst so not asking too much of myself today. Might do a midweek weigh in tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone

WaltzingBetty · 28/04/2021 13:01

@WTF99
I think 3 exante profucts/dat plus a healthy meal. I'm fairly active so not sure I could do 100% exante

Noneofthathere · 29/04/2021 12:25

How's everyone getting on as we near the weekend?

I'm due to meet up with a friend for the day at the weekend. It'll be the first time I've socialised with food around since I started. Thinking as we're not sure what will be open where we're going it makes sense to take a picnic anyway, so I'm going to suggest we each take our own food.
