Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

12 weeks in, weighing 3st and 1lb less than before. Very happy. Taking a 'break' on the 1200 this week.

Aerish · 13/07/2021 12:24

I started Exante a couple of weeks ago. I lost 6lb in my first week and I have lost 4 this week. I think it's a brilliant way to lose weight.

Helene2019 · 13/07/2021 12:50

@UpsyDaisysarmpit wow! Do you have much more to lose? I like to focus on every 0.5 BMI points lost.

@Aerish well done a fantastic start - you must be pleased almost 1st down.

Aerish · 13/07/2021 13:26

@Helene2019

Thank you, hopefully it will be a stone next week.
I tried Exante because I saw this thread and how brilliantly people are doing on it.

Helene2019 · 13/07/2021 13:56

@Aerish if you've been on it for two weeks you must know which are your favourite flavours and which aren't - I think that half the distraction on exante 😂

WhoWants2Know · 13/07/2021 19:52

Wow, everyone is doing so well! I'm struggling to stay on track this week but I suspect that I need to get some more exercise in.

3Britnee · 13/07/2021 22:00

I fell off over the weekend but am back on it today.

Picklesbaby · 14/07/2021 10:14

Felt rubbish the past few days . I’ve not been drinking enough water . Going for 2 shakes today instead of a bar.. let’s see if I can make it until dinner tonight without eating my arm 😅

Orangesandlemons77 · 14/07/2021 11:34

I tried a dish of porridge (from a bag not a pot) today and it was not good- very runny hot and sweet, the pots were a bit better. Hoping for something more pleasant later. Little exercise here either today as waiting in for a delivery but might try and do some hand weights and squats later if I summon up the energy.

Orangesandlemons77 · 14/07/2021 15:47

I noticed on the exact site they don't recommend much exercise, particularly for the 800 plan. I do some here and there, wondered how others find it exercising on plan?

Orangesandlemons77 · 14/07/2021 15:47

*exante

WhoWants2Know · 14/07/2021 18:09

Initially I was mostly trying to stick to walking and getting my steps up and not doing anything more strenuous than that. (Also it helps keep things moving internally) But last week I started to feel a bit weak and woozy when going out for a walk, so I have cut back.

Orangesandlemons77 · 14/07/2021 19:33

I have been having muesli for my meal of the day but think that might be high carb? It's tricky to know sometimes the right thing to do. Thing is it keeps me full for ages and that is a good thing I guess.

Orangesandlemons77 · 14/07/2021 19:35

Thanks WhoWants2Know quite like feeling less guilty for not exercising lots to be honest. It's quite hot here too. I go swimming but it's quite gentle, more for relaxation than anything.

WhoWants2Know · 14/07/2021 23:27

I think the number of carbs matters less than the total number of calories. She as long as the muesli doesn't take you too far over, it's all good.

I find I do better without much exercise. I walk 2-3 times a week with my friend but I've started doing weights at home this week. I have no idea whether what I'm doing is going to achieve anything but it's better than nothing 😂

I'm trying to work out a little routine to do as soon as I get up. I've only been doing this since Tuesday. My weights are 1kg each.

10 squats with bicep curl.
10 squats with arm raises out in front.
10 bicep curls.
10 arm raises to the front.
10 arm raises to the side.
10 arm raises above my head.
10 small pulses with arms out to the side.
10 windmills with a bicep dip behind my head.
10 bicep dips behind my head.
This is a long one, raise arms out in front, pull elbows out, raise hand to point upwards, raise arms, back down, point fowards, lower arms, that's a hard one to describe, but it's in fitness blenders' tank top arms video.
Then I do 20 cross over punches.

I think that's it. I'm going to add in a plank challenge maybe, and up my squats. I used to do 10 every time I had a wee so I'll start that again too.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 16/07/2021 00:14

I do a core strength session with my trainer on zoom once a week, with resistance bands.

Going to start apple fitness next week

Orangesandlemons77 · 16/07/2021 13:04

Just having a lemon cheesecake shake with some frozen cherries blended it, that is quite refreshing on a hot day!

Looking forward to some more classes starting at the gym next week, might try a few. Think I'll have muesli or porridge on those days and other days just the packs. Perhaps.

Picklesbaby · 16/07/2021 22:34

I’ve really stuck to plan today , Indian dal was very filling. &I’m definitely making better choices aswel ,We went out yesterday and I had a chicken salad while dh scoffed a burger and chips😩

3Britnee · 17/07/2021 06:23

Well done @Picklesbaby!

WhoWants2Know · 17/07/2021 10:21

26 pounds down so far. On the one hand I'm pleased to be so close to a 2 stone loss, but on the other hand I feel like I don't really look any different and I have so far left to go.

That's brilliant, think of the health benefits also. Flowers
Orangesandlemons77 · 17/07/2021 15:02

Has anyone tried the Vegan range? Just ordered some to try.

3Britnee · 18/07/2021 08:35

I really want to try the new dark chocolate bars. They are now on the European website but delivery is ridiculous and I only want a couple of those, I've got loads of packets so can't justify buying more. Plus I'm still doing salad and soup with a bit of olive oil and nuts because of my blood test results.
