Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

Everyone is doing really well 👏

I don't know what weight I am as I still haven't replaced my scales but I'm seeing a difference.

I started weights this morning, so I'll try to keep that up. I do the fitness blender videos on YouTube, 100 squats, standing abs and tank top arms. Each one is about 10mins so not too bad. I only did the arms one today and that near killed me 😂

I've been invited out for the football and to eat first. I said yes because I shouldn't just sit on my arse all the time (I'm not doing much because my DH has been in the uk for the last 3 months so I haven't really been out and about, I've been for walks and stuff, but most of the time I'm at home). I did go to the front today and the beach was packed. Anyway, as this is a momentous day, I'll probably go (a little bit) off plan today and get back on it tomorrow. I'm not drinking though.

I'm not doing well. I need to stop. Last night at the pub I had a salad, and a couple of my friend's chips. Then when I left I was really hungry because I didn't follow my usual plan yesterday so I stopped at the kebab shop and got a kebab wrap, chips and coke zero. At 1am 🙄

Then this morning (although after my 10,000 steps) I got an eclair and a slice of carrot cake. And a red lindt egg.

I ate the eclair in the car. I've just eaten the carrot cake, a diet snack bar, 2 mini no added sugar croissants, a tiny bit of chilli cheese and the lindt egg.

And now I'm thinking about that chicken curry pie in my freezer.

🙈🤬😫

I had 3 gins watching the football last night . Resisted the pizza & had some rocket and feta cheese🤷🏻‍♀️.
Don’t feel like I’ve lost any weight but who knows till Sunday.

@3Britnee oh no! That’s like me once I pop I can’t stop 😫

Orangesandlemons77 · 08/07/2021 18:56

Our neighbour kindly gave me this gorgeous bread, sourdough rye I think it is, as a present so kept sneaking bits of it....not exactly low carb..

WhoWants2Know · 08/07/2021 21:19

I miss bread.

3Britnee · 08/07/2021 21:32

Well I have no more treaty things left, fibre one bars etc. From tomorrow I'm going back on salad, chorizo & cheese and soup, for a week and then ill think about going back on the products, if my blood sugars agree.

3Britnee · 08/07/2021 21:33

That ^ sounds high calorie but most of the time comes in at 600-650 cals as I weigh it all.

2020in2020 · 09/07/2021 07:18

I’m down to 10st7.9lbs which I’m ecstatic about. But my dad called last night to tell me that we are going have to put my grandma in a home as her dementia is far too much for my granddad to handle. Granddad is resisting as he doesn’t want to be apart from her Sad. I ate my feelings including an Easter egg I found at the back of the cupboard.

I’m also going on holiday tomorrow, planning to take some shakes & bars with me as well as my weights and resistance band to keep up exercise, but once I’m there it will probably all go out the window! I just don’t want to undo all my hard work, this is the lightest I have weighed for years…

WhoWants2Know · 09/07/2021 09:04

That's so good, 10 stone 7 is my goal weight! I'm down 3 pounds this week but still have a way to go.

frillseeking · 10/07/2021 07:49

Are most people here doing exante 800 or the 1200 plan? X

Picklesbaby · 10/07/2021 08:57

@2020in2020 I’m sorry to hear about your grandma . Mil has dementia & it’s hard . Enjoy your holiday

@frillseeking I’m doing the 1200 as I’m still breastfeeding. It’s working well. I think no meals at all would be very tough !

yes I don't think I could do that! What kind of meals do you have, do you keep it low carb? I think I've been following it a bit too loosely and having too many low calorie bars as snacks so need to rein it in a bit!

WhoWants2Know · 10/07/2021 10:13

I'm doing 800, with 3 packets and 200 calories of other food. I try to use lots of salads, vegetable stir fries, pasta dishes with barenaked noodles or Lo-dough pizza as meals.

Orangesandlemons77 · 10/07/2021 12:00

I wonder why there is no 1000, just 800 and 1200? I'm sort of doing in the middle now, 2/3 packets and a roughly 400 cal meal.

Being quite flexible with it so on hungrier days / exercising having a bit more than other days.

I'm starting to get into a bit more of a routine with it, so having first one at 11 ish and next at 3pm ish then something to eat at 6ish with the family.

Orangesandlemons77 · 10/07/2021 12:01

WhoWants2Know what is the Lo-dough like out of interest, is it nice?

Helene2019 · 10/07/2021 12:25

@frillseeking I'm on 1200 (1 pack a day at breakfast and 2 low carb meals) because I'm about to start IVF. Still losing around 1lb a week.

@orangesandlemons77 routine massively helps. I pretty much eat at similar times as you!

@2020in2020 Sorry to hear the news about your grandma, and it is understandable to fall off plan during difficult times.

I had it when it first came out and was like that bit of polystyrene that you get between a pizza and its box sometimes.
WhoWants2Know · 10/07/2021 14:12

Grin It's fair to say that Lo-dough isn't full of flavour. But it does the job of making a thin and crispy base to hold your pizza stuff.

Picklesbaby · 10/07/2021 16:33

@frillseeking Not really i just I keep it within the 600 calories and make sure it’s relatively healthy bulked with lots of veg. I have salads and pastas, soups, chicken, stir fry, fish, rice ect. I have limited myself to 3 bars a week and the rest shakes or meals. Indian dal is nice. I have my first shake around 10 and second item around 1.30/2pm and dinner around 5.30/6 . I carry sliced cucumber and a bisto for those hungry moments at work 🤣.

Helene2019 · 11/07/2021 09:54

Hope everyone is doing good this weekend.

Weekly weigh in: down 1 more lb (despite mid week football related drinking 😀 - but I didn't go overboard, couple of glasses of wine and not the bottle!). BMI is 26 🎉🥳 (started at 28.5) Not that far to go. Plan this week is to just keep going as every 1lb lost will help.

Re pizzas I substitute the pizza base for large portabello mushrooms, baked aubergine/ courgette if you scoop out the middle, or a butterfly chicken breast. I just put a bit tomato sauce/garlic/herbs and then top with portioned/weighed low fat mozarella or grated parmasan and bake. Sounds wierd but has all the flavour of pizza so satisfys the craving - only too much cheese might take you over the calorie count for the day. A snack version is to do the same but to cut the courgette into rounds (retaining the middle). I make a plate of them and eat them cold straight from the fridge!

WhoWants2Know · 11/07/2021 12:48

8 weeks on, and I feel like my initial fatigue is back. The products all have plenty of vitamins, so can you think of anything that might be causing it?

Picklesbaby · 11/07/2021 19:21

Another 3lb down this week into the next stone bracket, and 1lb of a stone lost !!😁😁 .
Having a night off , Chinese take away & football . ordered boiled rice and curry sauce instead of half the menu . I couldn't even finish it!my bmi is down to 29.4 too, out of the obese category🤗🤗

Helene2019 · 11/07/2021 19:49

@WhoWants2Know I definitely get affected by time of the month? I get more tired just before and during or when I haven't drunk enough water. Or maybe it's just the toll of doing many weeks on the calorie restriction - maybe do two days at 1200 cals and add red meat.

Well done @Picklesbaby a big milestone to be out of a BMI category!

Orangesandlemons77 · 12/07/2021 17:49

I've lost half a stone in just under a couple of weeks, quite surprised today. Encouraging me to continue.

Helene2019 · 12/07/2021 20:23

@Orangesandlemons77 that's epic! Well done. Just think in a couple of weeks you will 1st down.

I'm feeling at risk of self sabotage at the moment been snacking all day (on low carb stuff) but most definitely gone about 500 cals over my calorie limit today 🙈. Drank quite a bit last night, and I must admit the constant snacking today is lokely the after effects of that.
