Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

The pizzas and fajitas are 😋👌😘👌 I save them for fridays or Saturdays so it's like a weekend takeaway.

Helene2019 · 23/06/2021 08:07

@3Britnee great you are seeing results re clothes size.

@Lockheart I agree with what everyone has said re the soups - I didn't like all the flavours but adding herbs / spices or seasoning definitely helps. Pancakes are lovely with 0cal sugar free syrup (like the flavoured ones for coffees).

@Orangesandlemons77 what Britnee suggest about setting regular eating times is the best tip when starting out. I try to have my breakfast pack as late as possible (fill up on coffee/herbal teas/tea untill about 11). Then have first pack. Second pack would then be mid afternoon 2pm or something. Then I have a main meal in the evening but you could do a 2 pack dinner with a savoury pack and then a chocolate shake or desert/bar/cookie pack in place of pudding. Trick is to drink loads of water. Hope it's been going a bit better today.

I like the pizza but a bit of a faff to bother making compared to e.g. just microwaving or shaking something (make sure you use a silicon mat or baking paper!). it does feel more like real food, i slice mushrooms on the top - sometimes I add like a shaving of some light cheese. Plus a large salad on the side.

Just did some calculations and I'm 2lb away from moving from obese to overweight, and 3lb from a 3st loss! 💪

Really going to up my game for the next couple of days now (a tea or sugar free hot choc and ultra low cal choc item was creeping in, in place of my 4pm meal).

That's brilliant @3Britnee! Well done 👏

I can't wait to get to the 'just' overweight category rather than obese, it's going to feel like such an achievement. 1 stone down, 2 stone 2lbs to go.

You can do it, it will come off in no time 💪

😲 what a milestone. I remember crossing that 2 years ago and it took me so long around a year to get my BMI under 30. But then 3 IVF rounds just kept me hovering in the upper "overweight BMI" category. I'm determined to get as close to normal BMI before the next IVF round. If I ever cross the 25 threshold I will buy an entire new wardrobe and treat myself with lots of new clothes, handbags and shoes (hopefully then have successful IVF and not get to wear any of them 😂).
3Britnee · 23/06/2021 12:45

I'm starting to run out of clothes, nothing fits anymore, I'm living in leggings atm 😂

2020in2020 · 23/06/2021 13:07

Thank you! I had some left over packs and then ordered using the 50 meals for £59 offer, I only ordered shakes, bars, the porridges, pancakes, desserts and Dahl pots as I know I like those! Definitely will try the pizza and fajitas in my next order and maybe one or 2 soups!

I’m on day 3 and feeling good!

Well done @3Britnee, that's an amazing achievement!

I've started today but have a long-booked meal out tonight so it's only a half day - starting properly tomorrow!

Hello everyone.

I have just seen this thread and looked at the website, and it all looks very nice.

Is it very filling? I'm doing Collaslim at the moment which really fills me up, but I think I'll get bored after a few months and want some proper food.

I never thought I would do meal replacement ( I'm 55 and have done Weight Watchers successfully twice after giving up smoking)

I put on a lot of weight with the menopause and am just fed up with it. I have no willpower whatsoever now, so I'm finding it easier to just eat nothing apart from the shakes and have that as my rule.

In the evening I have a Mindful Chef meal, or a small portion of something I make myself.

I hate feeling hungry and so far on Collaslim I have felt pretty full up.

Thanks!

Wimpund21 · 23/06/2021 19:36

@Movinghouseatlast I find the products very filling.

The first 3 days or so were difficult, both with feeling hungry and feeling a little 'lost' at having no snacks! But I'm nearly at the end of week 3 now and several times I've forgotten to have my next shake when due, I just rarely feel hungry at all.

londonscalling · 23/06/2021 19:38

Is it the same as Lighter Life?

WhoWants2Know · 23/06/2021 22:26

It's a similar concept

3Britnee · 24/06/2021 13:04

Thank you @lockheart

🤞💪👏 for today!

3Britnee · 24/06/2021 14:10

Has anyone noticed issues with their hair? Apparently extended time on exante can cause hair loss, so you should take a good skin/hair/nails vitamin, or biotin (found in eggs).

I haven't actually been using the exante products, but been keeping my calories no higher than 750ish, maybe for the last month.

I've noticed my hairline on facetime seeming very high, a while ago, but not in real life, but the other day I had a proper look after I washed it and its thinning a lot at the temples and through the front. It didn't look as bad once it was dry though, but still needs addressing. My mum has very thin and wispy hair, so this has always been something I've been aware of.

I got some skin/hair/nails supplements this morning, but was thinking to add a boiled egg in every day, additional to what else I have, and not count the calories. Do you think that's a good idea?

Lockheart · 24/06/2021 20:03

I had my first shake today - cookies and cream - but I made it with water that was too warm I think! It wasn't particularly pleasant. I'll try blending it with some ice next time. I'm supplementing my dinner with an apple as I'm still a bit hungry.

3Britnee · 24/06/2021 20:23

They are only really nice when blended with ice.

WhoWants2Know · 24/06/2021 20:26

I keep a bottle of water cold in the fridge, and that helps.

Lockheart · 24/06/2021 20:30

Yes, this was room temperature water... Amateur mistake! I know better for tomorrow.

WhoWants2Know · 25/06/2021 09:47

Only -2lbs this week for a total of 19. I was hoping for a nice round 20, but it will do.

MajorNeville · 25/06/2021 10:23

I've been doing Exante since 15th March, I'm slow compared to some but I'm 2lbs shy of being 2st lighter. I feel great, I'm so excited to start on my next 2st. I am taking biotin as I'm losing hair but I have loads of hair so it isn't noticeable yet. When I get below 30BMI I'm going to up my calories to 1000 a day, I am 31BMI now. I go to the gym and eat usually an extra 200cals of protein on those days anyway.

LoopyLouLawson · 25/06/2021 14:28

Hello All

Hope I can join - I am not doing Exante but a similar one called New You.

I was 18 Stone in Jan and got down to 17 stone 2lbs with calorie counting - but it was slow.

I stared New You on 14/6/21 and am already 12.5lbs down.

WhoWants2Know · 26/06/2021 12:08

I usually don't weigh more than once a week, but I couldn't resist checking to see if I'd kicked that extra pound that I was mad about yesterday. It's gone 😁

Orangesandlemons77 · 26/06/2021 12:58

Thanks for the advice spacing the meals out does help. Flowers

I have also done the CLOUD20 discount and got £20 off the 4 week box. As it is free postage over £50 I added an extra item and it also gave me a free bar as well. So, that is encouraging me to stick with it.
