Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I missed so many messages!

@3Britnee that's so interesting, the science of a whoosh. I have definitely noticed my tummy feels very soft at the mo!

In the end I survived on 3 hard boiled eggs all day as I had other things I had to get on with and then my order arrived early and I binged on two bars!!!

My dad invited me out for dinner tonight, his treat! Absolutely gutted not to go! Free nice food!!!

peachesarenom · 10/06/2021 21:55

Also, I just tried the caramel frappe for the first time today! I was in total shock!!!

Sooo today I decided to sod the calories but stay as low carb as I could while still having what I wanted. It's my 40th so I decided to be a bit less strict.

I had ONE poppadom and dips, no mango chutney though.
An onion bhaji.
A lamb curry. No rice or naan.
Vegetable curry as the side, the other choices were chickpeas, potatoes or dal.
Then they put mango sorbet in front of us and I did have a bit, but the whole thing was tiny, probably only 2 tablespoons.
Then they brought things that look like little hundreds and thousands, but they were banished flavour for cleaning your palate. I've never seen those before. So I tasted those.
Then when they offered the liquor at the end, I had a baileys.

So not the best, but not the worst either. I have to learn how to make good choices for life so the odd off plan meal won't hurt.

I'll be very interested to see what my numbers do tomorrow. This morning I was 11st 12lb. This afternoon I was 11st 11lb. Tonight after eating I was 11st 12lb and I'm normally 3lb more in the evening than the morning. So 🤞

A refined carb hasn't passed my lips for about 2 weeks I think but I feel ok, I don't feel like my bg is high.

I think the carbs have been offset by the fats maybe, and actually, I think bhaji's are made with garam flour which isn't as bad as white flour. I hope 😂

3Britnee · 10/06/2021 22:39

@Peachesarenom, Hopefully you've got one coming then!

3Britnee · 10/06/2021 22:40

Aniseed not banished 😂

peachesarenom · 10/06/2021 22:50

@3Britnee I think you did amazing!!!! Happy 40th! Defo deserves celebrating!

My dad brought me home some mixed veg, it was quite oily so I think it'll slow my weightloss a bit but it was worth it! I didn't eat the potatoes in it!

11st 12lb 4oz, so a loss of 4oz, but my bg was 6.8.

WhoWants2Know · 11/06/2021 07:49

Week 4 and I managed a 3 pound loss, for a total of 1 stone, so I'm pre lockdown weight. Still another 2 stone to lose for a healthy bmi. My arse still shows no sign of fitting into last year's trousers, though.

d1ver · 11/06/2021 09:43

I'm just ordering my first 2-week diet plan box. Does anyone have a referral code?

WhoWants2Know · 11/06/2021 13:34

I used STACY-R4S

Well done! That’s great
WhoWants2Know · 12/06/2021 20:39

I finally tried Lo-dough pizza. It's not Domino's, but it's not bad for 200 calories and staying on plan 😁

3Britnee · 13/06/2021 06:12

Saturday: 11st 13lb 2oz, bg: 5.6
Sunday: 11st 12lb 4oz, bg: 5.5

I've only got 6 testing strips left so I'll stop testing daily for now, I know salad for lunch and soup for dinner is not raising my readings so I should be ok until I get some more. They don't do my brand here and can't order them so I'll have to wait for someone to bring them over. They can give me a new machine but the strips for that one are €42 for 50 so I'm not paying that when I know what I'm doing works. I normally pay 7.99 for 50! When I get them I might go back on to products and see what happens, whether they raise it again. I should have lost more by then so I might able to tolerate them better.

That's brilliant! Well done!

Seems everyone is still going in the right direction!

Weekly weigh: in am down 2lbs this week taking my BMI 26.7 and body fat to 39%. I started at BMI 28.5 and 44% respectively, so now achieved 5% fat loss 🎉 .

3Britnee · 13/06/2021 14:29

👏👏👏

3Britnee · 14/06/2021 13:17

11st 11lb 4oz for me today. I didn't take my bg as I'm not going to do it as often for now, until I get more strips.

I'm fighting the temptation today! The struggle is real 😭

riotlady · 14/06/2021 13:26

You can do it @3Britnee!

Week 3 weigh in this morning and I’m another 2lbs down, so that’s 10.5lbs in total :)

3Britnee · 14/06/2021 13:28

Well done, that's amazing @riotlady.

I know but I'm feeling like I dont want to do it today 😂

WhoWants2Know · 14/06/2021 18:10

I think I have a new strategy for days when I feel extra munchy.

1 shake makes 4 ice lollies.

1 shake + an egg and a bit of baking powder makes 5 muffins.

That feels like a lot of food for only around 470 calories. If I add in another shake and some raw veg, I can pretty much eat all day without going off plan.

UpsyDaisysarmpit · 15/06/2021 19:27

I'm down 3lbs this week, so that's 33lbs in 8 weeks Star

@WhoWants2Know great idea!

@3Britnee hang in there!

3Britnee · 15/06/2021 19:30

That is upsydaisy, I had a smidgen of sugar free ice cream, weighed and logged, and I think I'm ok now 😂

3Britnee · 15/06/2021 19:31

Thanks, not that is.
