Hope you've all having a lovely weekend so far.
@Knittingnanny I'm a big fan of Kate Spade bangles, but have not purchased a bag from there before (yet). I have small wrists and find the bangles a good fit. Isn't that daughter in law so thoughtful - is she also the person that sent you the afternoon tea?
@skylover good results there! what was your booze and 'treat' dinner choice?
@jellybe I have to make sure I have planned snack options if needed, as it gives me something to reach for if I get peckish. I also wonder if you're eating enough protein during your main meals.
@TheDogsMother glad you found us!
@Sooverthemill sorry to hear it's been a tough week for you and your daughter. Chips sound lovely though, and I wouldn't feel bad. I am planning to have the same this week.
inspired by @WellTidy I went out walking yesterday - I went to bed last night having done 15k steps, I have plans to meet a friend this afternoon so hoping for at least 13k steps today.
I am committing to at least 3 long walks this week. I read something recently, and it may well have been on this thread or elsewhere on MN - it was about motivation and disciple. You don't need motivation if you have disciple. It struck a nerve. At present, I want to lose weight more than I want to eat unlimited amounts of pasta. I'm aware it's easy for me to say this right now as I've only recently started this journey, and I appreciate it will be harder to maintain that thought as time goes on.
BUT for now, I am in the zone.
I want to learn to have a better relationship with food - none of this bad/good food mentality that brings with it guilt when I've eaten a doughnut. There's absolutely nothing wrong with eating a doughnut, it's just not the best idea for me to eat 3/4 in one sitting.
I have to remind myself that yes, I am doing this for vanity but also for health, I would like to get reach a healthy bmi. The bonus will be fitting into my fantastic summer wardrobe that I've not worn for at least 3 years!
Happy Sunday x
