Eeek @purplegirl13 and @BlodwinTheThird Well done! Fingers crossed it stays there!

@purplegirl13 I've never thought of flaked almonds on my greek yogurt, strawberries and honey, but I'm blooming going to try it this afternoon when I have a snack!!

Today will be:

B: No breakfast
L: Scrambled Egg on toast
S: Strawberries, greek yogurt, honey - and now flaked almonds!
d: A 'spicy salmon traybake' from BBC Good Food which includes chickpeas and tomatoes - yum! Probably a few popadoms and some green beans too.
Gym tonight.

Welcome to the new posters!

@Sooverthemill great news on being under 9 stone, it would make me absolutely delighted, please don’t think it’s a silly thing to be happy about. I would be screaming it out loud

Yay @purplegirl13 on being in the nines! And take the result, whether it’s down to antibiotics effects or not! It’s a boost, regardless.

We are getting there, aren’t we? It’s all progress.

I am still 9st 4lb, which I am happy about. Staying the same is my goal, right now, any loss would be unexpected. I am seeing friends this afternoon and Krispy Kremes will be involved, but I will choose a ring donut rather than a filled one and am not having an oat or skinny latte today, so I think it will be fine.

Had a fabulous stir fry last night. DH roasted the many peppers with loads of ginger and teriyaki, and then we had noodles, beansprouts and mushrooms and some prawns when I cooked it all together on the hob. It was absolutely delicious but think it was quite healthy (?), so we will have it again. I couldn’t really estimate the calories on MFP so I called it 500 and have hoped for the best!

WellTidy · 10/06/2021 10:45

I spent so long typing that I missed the other posts coming in!

Well done @BlodwinTheThird. I am whispering, obviously. And giving a discreet thumbs up!

@ILikePizzaAndWine that salmon traybake sounds really lovely. I would love that - I will look up the recipe on the bbc site. Flaked almonds are indeed lovely with a yoghurt and fruit, I really like the bit of crunch. I am a big granola lover, but the super sweet kind (Waitrose do a delicious one) which is high calorie, but the almonds are a great alternative. I also like a big of vanilla - I buy the pods as DS likes to cook using them (let’s ignore how expensive they are compared to extract!) and that with yoghurt and fruit and almonds is a dream. Will stop talking about it now Smile

ILikePizzaAndWine · 10/06/2021 11:32

@WellTidy here it is, we've never had it before, so will let you know! www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spiced-salmon-tomato-traybake

Knittingnanny · 10/06/2021 11:49

Salmon for us tonight as well
@Sooverthemill that sounds really annoying not to have space on your own beach. Fortunately our stretch of coast is definitely not seaside like so although it’s usually quite busy it does not have extras as it’s not a tourist destination.
I’m going over to Gunwharf outlet today to have a look at “ summer clothes for short 64 year olds who hover between 10 and 12”! Then another beach trip with 3 year old granddaughter later.
Have a good day everyone, it’s a bit cooler here today after yesterday’s heatwave.

yoyo1234 · 10/06/2021 12:29

I managed to stick with my regime ( day 4 I think !). Still not weighed myself. Everyone's meals sound lovely- really tasty. I think I will need to cut more out (other than obvious wheat) as I am still eating loads of ice-cream and sweets....

Amaura · 10/06/2021 14:22

Mostly healthy day yesterday, did have a flapjack but burnt that off in my run

Got a big pot of roasted vegetable, lentil and quinoa daal on the go which will do dinner for a few days.

For me the struggle is planning when to eat now that activities are all back on. I have a plan for dinner but then realise I have to have a split meal because I need to be somewhere and can’t wait until I’m back before I have anything. Then I grab something quick from the cupboard.

BlodwinTheThird · 11/06/2021 07:38

Early weigh in for me - 9.13.6 - up .4lb from my pre holiday weight but not as bad as I’d feared and in the nines which is heartening. You were right about the ‘fast on fast off’ @WellTidy!

Im almost halfway through (1st 11 lost, 1st 12 to go) but expect the second half to be harder/slower. BMI still in the overweight range at 25.7. Next goal is 9.9.9 to sneak into the ‘healthy’ range.

Good luck to everyone weighing in today!! I hope it’s a good one 👍

purplegirl13 · 11/06/2021 07:59

@BlodwinTheThird yay! That's a FANTASTIC result for having been away on holiday

I am down to 9st12.6 but absolutely know that's due to a really poorly tummy. Unfortunately the antibiotics may well be triggering an IBD flare up for me. Will see how I go today before considering contact with my Gastro team.

Today's plan - weight/beige carbs

purplegirl13 · 11/06/2021 08:00

*white carbs

Morningmaeve · 11/06/2021 08:48

Hello all. Half a pound up here which is no surprise - surprised it is not more to be honest but this week's renewed focus seems to have limited the damage of the previous two. 9st 1lb for the record at 5ft 2in. The aim is to get under 9 stone - has been the aim for quite some time now! Planning another C25K run this weekend and did an hour's walk yesterday - I am definitely trying to up the exercise a bit. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

AuldFox · 11/06/2021 09:20

I haven’t dared show my face after my very indulgent holiday. I have finally reached 8st 9 again after some concentrated effort. It was all worth it though, I ate whatever I wanted and cocktails featured heavily!

I’ve got a size 10 dress that doesn’t button up over my boobs that I’d quite like to wear this year. And so we soldier on! Hello to all the newbies Smile

ILikePizzaAndWine · 11/06/2021 09:31

Well I've weighed today, and I'm officially lighter then I was before I went on holiday....in August last year! Blush

I'm 9st 0lbs. FINALLY. I really want to gain a bit of momentum now, and be in the 8s soon, but my period is due this weekend so I'm not sure I'll be able to hack it. Anyone else find you have 3 weeks of doing well, then one period ruins it all?!

humptydumpty21 · 11/06/2021 10:18

@ILikePizzaAndWine I had the salmon traybake yesterday, was lovely and minimum effort - will definitely be making that again. Thank you for the suggestion.

-1lb loss for me this week so 8.5. I also have my period next week and it always seems to go wrong Confused

BlodwinTheThird · 11/06/2021 11:54

Well done for everyone who has lost (and for those where the gain is not as bad as expected).

Hope you are feeling better soon @purplegirl13

ILikePizzaAndWine · 11/06/2021 11:55

@humptydumpty21 Yay! So glad you liked it! I am trying to find more quick tray bakes that aren't too high in calories as life is getting busier and I have forgotten how to fit everything in! Wink If I find any good ones I'll share them if you'd like x

humptydumpty21 · 11/06/2021 12:02

@ILikePizzaAndWine yes please, it was so nice to try something new.

Sooverthemill · 12/06/2021 09:37

Well done those who have lost. Am hoping I have when I next weigh in as DD has been so unwell I've hardly had time to eat!

purplegirl13 · 12/06/2021 10:04

Well done to everyone who has lost, gained, or stayed the same. It's a long old journey for us so I think give yourself a gold star for still being here on this thread. We'll eventually get where we need to be.

@Morningmaeve I'm restarting C25K once I'm feeling better.

@AuldFox welcome back!

@Sooverthemill are you able to get a proper rest at night?

I love the one tray bakes, I have 'The Green Roasting Tin' by Rukmini Iyer and highly recommend it or suggest having a look at her other books.

Yesterday I cooked up a massive pan of macaroni pasta with boursin mixed in and ate it throughout the day, supplemented with greek yogurt in the morning and kefir in the afternoon. Not a fruit or vegetable in sight! I will stick to refined carbs today but am out for dinner so hoping my tummy has settled by then.

purplegirl13 · 12/06/2021 11:04

Small win for me. I bought the crumpets I went into the store for and not the loaf of tiger bread I was tempted by. I am a carb fiend and that loaf would have been gone by this evening. Seeing under 10st has been motivating and is exactly what I needed to hopefully get myself back in the zone.

Sooverthemill · 12/06/2021 11:31

@purplegirl13 no her nights are dreadful too. She's being really sick at the moment. But we sit and have little chats and I try to grab a nap in the day if I can. It's like having a newborn in many ways. But I'm 63!

Knittingnanny · 12/06/2021 14:35

@Sooverthemill I’m so sorry you are running on almost empty, has your daughter been ill for a long time?
Hope you get as much help as possible

Knittingnanny · 12/06/2021 14:39

I’ve been to Asda in advance of my big click and collect tomorrow and bought nice seafood and salad stuff for tea. Supplemented by lots of nice bread for dh who will feel hard done by with “ just” salad!
Meeting a friend for an hour the opposite end of the beach to the cafe so neither of us are tempted by caramel magnums!
Then pottering in the tiny back garden and eating our tea outside hopefully.

Sooverthemill · 12/06/2021 14:41

@Knittingnanny she's been ill 8 years in September

Sooverthemill · 13/06/2021 11:28

Had massive lie in today ( thanks to DH) and weighed myself out of sync and I'm 8: 13 which is nice to see. Been doing crossword in the garden and being proud of DS who has just completed the ration challenge and raised over £1000 by eating just what supplies a refugee gets in a camp.
