I will read all posts later, but just checking in. I’m 9st 9.25lb today, which is quarter of a pound down, and 1st 4.25lb off completely (since the start of the year but my weight loss is slowing a lot now). Very little helps! Been on a hilly 8 mile walk today so feeling very virtuous.

Notavegan · 18/03/2021 18:36

My scales finally moved down instead of up this week. Just opened some mini eggs though opps. I deserved a treat and not keeping wine in house. I'm 8.12 and 3/4. 6.5lbs down this year.

FedNlanders · 19/03/2021 07:09

Ooo thats my downfall on an eve too notavegan.

My scales are up a bit this morning but trying not to be disheartened as it does do this occasionally and its never a straight line down x

BunnyJumper · 19/03/2021 07:16

Still 11stone here! If I'm honest I haven't put 100% in and I have hardly done any exercise! Hoping for a change next week :)

You know what depresses me a little? Is that when I was 8stone something, I still thought I was fat 😅 But I know when I get back to that I still won't be happy...

Hope everyone else has had some success this morning?

FedNlanders · 19/03/2021 08:19

I'm focusing on the fact I FEEL better in myself.

Morningmaeve · 19/03/2021 08:42

Happy Friday fellow shorties. I am back under 9st 3lb at 9st 2.8lb. Been bouncing around at the same weight for a while now so it is good to see a small loss. I've lost a stone since the summer and I feel much better for it but I'd love to get under 9st - which would lighter than I've been for years so know it will be tough to get there - and maintain when I do get there! At my rate of progress i think losing three pounds will take me at least six weeks...end of April.

Sooverthemill · 19/03/2021 09:01

My win is that despite being woken by DD at 5am and and ending up not going back to bed and feeling fed up and starving I didn't have toast and marmite I waited until after my yoga session ( online) and had my sensible granola and yoghurt. When DD was in hospital ( 6 months basically) I lived on midnight toast and marmite in the parents room! So that's a win for me.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 19/03/2021 09:06

Argh, I'm heavier today, weighing 8 stone 11 and 3/4. Goddammit. I really need to focus again. Would love to get a few more lbs off.

I'm off to watch some Jordan Syatt videos for motivation :)

neverenoughchelseaboots · 19/03/2021 09:24

@SwimmingOnEggshells I set myself a 30 day challenge as a short term kick-start, maybe something similar could work?

I've even used a notebook @Knittingnanny style!

I'm ticking off that I've not drank, my cumulative daily distance and weight each day. Only day 3 but really boosted my motivation.

If I could lose 0.1lb a day that would be 3 lbs. I obviously can't control that bit but it's nice to log alongside the drinking and distance.

SO, I appear to have lost 1st4lb but I will take that with a pinch of salt and hope it's about the same next week. Today's number on the scale is showing 10st7 down from 10st8.8

@AuldFox thank you, I know it will be slow going and obviously I'd love instant results but that's never going to happen!

@WellTidy good job on the hike!

@Notavegan scales heading down a great sign

@FedNlanders you're a daily weigher? as long as the trend is downwards, I wouldn't worry about the blips.

@BunnyJumper start afresh this week :)

@Morningmaeve it is slow going for us shorties as we don't have much scope with calories. A loss is still a loss.

@Sooverthemill that is a great win! be proud of that.

@SwimmingOnEggshells it is much harder to lose the smaller we get, definitely try and get some of that focus back

purplegirl13 · 19/03/2021 09:29

obviously I didn't mean 1st4lbs but 1.4lb

I am not yet fully awake!

nickEcave · 19/03/2021 09:32

61.4 today which I think is the same as last week. I hurt my knee on Monday while doing a long walk on uneven ground so I've had to stop the walking for a few days which made me feel really rubbish. I like to get out and walk for 45 mins or so in the morning before starting work (from home). Went for a short stroll this morning and my knee feels a lot better so I hope to get my steps back up next week.

purplegirl13 · 19/03/2021 09:35

Oh and today's plan:

B - Greek yogurt and frozen berries
L - Salad with veggie 'kebab' pieces
D - not sure yet
Snack options: hummus and rye crackers, apple, boiled egg

dottyaboutstripes · 19/03/2021 09:52

After joining in here on Tuesday, by Wednesday I had gained another lb and weighed in at 9st 13.2 - after 2 days of low carb, I'm down to 9st 8! I'm so pleased and I think I might do a couple more days of avoiding carbs just to see if I can boost things a little more.
Well done everyone...

Sooverthemill · 19/03/2021 11:14

@purplegirl13 I'm having
Granola (35 g) and lactose free yoghurt (50g)
Pea and ham soup, slice gluten free toast
Dinner : grilled 100% beef burger
Waitrose frites air fried
Salad with a tablespoon of waitrose celariac remoulade ( I could live on that stuff)
That should take me to about 1200 calories. If I'm starving at any point I have an oatcake with a teaspoon off hummus.

Knittingnanny · 19/03/2021 15:12

Morningmaeve, I’m still on the same path as you!
Walked 3 miles with youngest son today and now sat in the car with tea and snack a jacks (91 calories) watching everyone else on the seafront having icecream. I’ve decided to have 2 ice creams a week on warm sunny days.
It’s 1.4 miles from my front door to the sea so there and back is my exercise at least 4 days a week but think it still only counts as very light activity level.
Well done everyone

WithLoveFromMyselfToYourself · 19/03/2021 15:16

At 9st 6.5 lbs this morning. So a loss. Pleased with that but then I have been super-good, 500 calories every other day and not going mad on off days.

Sooverthemill · 20/03/2021 08:53

Okay so I lied. Yesterday was a terrible day with my poor DD and I ate a gluten free/ lactose free cake x2 ( morning and afternoon). Felt sick afterwards but I needed the sugar rush. Today I am going to try to stick to no snacks. Weight the same though I know it takes a few days to process foods

FedNlanders · 20/03/2021 09:00

I'm 9st 9.8 this morning. Thats nearly 3lb down from last weekend. Yey....

Morningmaeve · 20/03/2021 19:32

3lb @FedNlanders! Impressive! Yes @Knittingnanny you and I are diet twins Smile. I am doing all the walking and no snacks but there has been wine...and pizza. No wonder under 9 stone remains an elusive concept...

Knittingnanny · 20/03/2021 19:37

Maeve your name autocorrects to Marvel! Had fish and chips at the beach tonight after dropping off the 2 littlest grandchildren. But I only had a small cod and ate one side of the batter only. Husband and the seagulls ate the chips!
Think this is the best route for me, not cutting out anything just having mini versions. That way I don’t feel deprived.
Still determined to be under 9 stone again.

Morningmaeve · 20/03/2021 20:59

Me and you both with the under 9st aspirations @Knittingnanny but enjoying life also. I agree smaller portions for us smaller people is a sensible way to go.

jellybe · 21/03/2021 17:46

Down to 9st 2 which I'm really pleased with. Calorie counting seems to be the way for me. Not depriving myself of things I like but making sure I watch how much I'm eating. I will be below 9st again one day.

2021youpromisedyoudbebetter · 21/03/2021 22:22

Hi everyone, just stumbled onto this thread and hope you dont mind if I join. I'm 5 foot and 10 stone 11 so have over 2 stone to lose was aiming for 8 and half stone. I was on the noom trial but stopped and thought I'd be able to carry on post trial logging my food on myfitnesspal....suffice to say I havent and I've been stagnant on any losses the last few weeks. I'm also 6 months post partum and seem to have developed some sort of sugar addiction during my breast feeding journey I've not managed to kick. Hope that being part of this thread will help inspire me as reading through has so far!

BasilLeaf · 22/03/2021 07:00

Hi please can I join you? Haven’t read the full thread as I’m dashing out to work but I am 5’ 3” and this morning was 9 stone 3.4. I’m usually about 8 and a half, maybe a bit less. None of my clothes fit and I’m living in leggings and hoodies and I hate it.

I’ll have a read through properly tonight.
