Morning all

Yes @SwimmingOnEggshells it feels very cold here today which makes me feel hungrier, luckily I have soup today.

Scales showed a 2lb gain today which was disappointing but I won’t log until Friday. I’ll just keep on for now and lower calories/cut bread completely if I don’t see a downward trend, I’m in for the long haul.

Today

B: fasting/black coffee
L: lentil soup, 1 nimble bread, frittata and sauerkraut (320)
D: HM moussaka, salad, avo, peas (500 ish)
Snack: maybe 1 kitkat finger (50)or one of my DH’s low-fat scones with scrape of jam (150)😋

purplegirl13 · 20/05/2021 12:54

@BippityBobbityBoo I was feeling quite bruised by the time I went to bed but at least all the knots have been worked out. Fair enough on the milk, if you don't miss it. Absolutely don't worry about the 2lb gain, it'll come off. Keep going.

@SwimmingOnEggshells I always want really carb heavy food when the weather is like this, proper stodge....some apple crumble and custard would be nice right now. Good job on only sticking to one caramel bar - that's a win in my book.

I had a horrible night's sleep, finally 3ish before I dropped off and then was up early for grocery delivery. I slept again from 10.30am - 12pm and still feeling sleepy. I am going to spend some time this afternoon prepping for an interview I have scheduled for Monday.

A rhubarb trifle was part of my grocery delivery this morning, I have taken out 2 portions and sent the rest for my mum. My grocery delivery last week had a 2 portion pack of cheesecake, more expensive than a large one but worked for my portion control. Might be the way forward for me.

Have a good day everyone.

purplegirl13 · 20/05/2021 19:01

I had soup for lunch with crackers and boursin.
Then trifle, nuts, dark choc and toast.

Been a weird day, have been feeling tired and 'off'. New day tomorrow

BippityBobbityBoo · 20/05/2021 19:54

@purplegirl13 lack of sleep is the very worst for me, I really crave comfort food and carbs so you e done well. Hope you sleep better tonight.

I’m not too worried about the gain but did skip bread today and as I just didn’t fancy it.

Rhubarb trifle sounds divine! 😋🤤

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 08:38

A massage! I would murder a massage @purplegirl13 sounds lovely

So weighing in today at 8 stone 8 lbs and a quarter. No change on earlier in the week but at least it hasn't gone the other way! I've been very good over the last few days so hopefully I'll see another drop next week.

Sooverthemill · 21/05/2021 09:52

Sleep deprivation is the pits and I suffer most days because if DD sadly. Try to get a nap in is my advice. I also live a massage but can't get out for one at the moment sadly

Stepped on the scales today and my extra 3 pounds has stayed off so phew. I can carry on not snacking and I imagine that will get the weight down!

WellTidy · 21/05/2021 10:03

Morning all

You’re all maritime me to stay on track after my celebrations earlier in the week.

I gained 2lb overnight afterwards, lost 1/4 of a pound, so 9st 4.75 now after a low of 9st 3lb. At 9st 3lb, I felt that I was ‘close’ to being 9stone, so I have a lot of work to do still to get to that mini goal.

I’ve had an oat latte for breakfast. I find them really filling when I get them from my local coffee shop, but not so much when I make them myself. I buy the oat semi milk, maybe I need to go ‘full fat’ oat.

Planning Eurovision celebrations for tomorrow night as Ds loves it, and trying to find a balance between the richness of different cuisines - so far I have some Spanish tapas, houmous and flatbreads, olives, and I am planning on doing Jamie Oliver’s harissa chicken traybake with peppers and red onions. Baklava for pudding.

WellTidy · 21/05/2021 10:04

Maritime = inspiring

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 10:28

I was wondering what you meant by inspiring Grin @WellTidy

I'd wager that the weight will come back off. Earlier in the month I more or less stopped dieting, my weight went up a couple of lbs and without doing a whole lot it's come off again. Just remind yourself that 1lb is 3,500 calories so it takes a significant amount of overeating to put on weight.

purplegirl13 · 21/05/2021 10:39

Happy Friday everyone!

I took a sleeping tablet last night, I suffer from insomnia so can usually handle being tired, but yesterday I felt weird and not myself. I'm feeling much better today.

I have lost my pre-period gain from last week and I hope to be under 10st by the end of the month!

purplegirl13 · 21/05/2021 10:48

The massage was much needed and I have booked another one in a couple of weeks time. If I don't manage the tension, it carries right up to my neck and is extremely painful. Money is tight at the moment so I am trying to not feel guilty for having the massages.

@SwimmingOnEggshells you've done so well to get back on track this week and I'm glad it is reflected on the scales.

@Sooverthemill phew, glad those pesky 3lbs have gone for you

@WellTidy sounds like you had a fantastic night early in the week and sounds like it was fully worth it. Your plans for tomorrow sounds lovely as well. I agree with swimming that the weight will come off soon.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 10:54

Have you ever tried a TENS machine @purplegirl13? my back can give me awful trouble sometimes and on Tuesday when it was really bad I kept it on it the whole day and it's soooo much better since. It seems to help release knots.

BippityBobbityBoo · 21/05/2021 10:58

@purplegirl13 the 9s are tantalisingly close! Great loss

@WellTidy Eurovision night sounds fun!

Scales said 10st 3.5 today. Yesterday they said 10st 8. I don’t see how it’s possible but I’m logging it!

humptydumpty21 · 21/05/2021 11:52

Weighing in today at 8.6.

Well done all.

I'm finding it more difficult now that everything is open, especially drinking, although with the recent weather I haven't wanted to as much. I have a family get together end of June and would love to at least get under 8.

BlodwinTheThird · 21/05/2021 12:59

1.3 loss this week, taking me to 10.0.7 (I think). Good luck to everyone weighing in today.

Morningmaeve · 21/05/2021 13:16

Well done all. I have maintained this week at 9 stone 0.4lb which I expected to do. My pattern seems to drop half a pound then spend a few weeks at that weight before dropping again. It is very slow progress and I do want to get under 9 stone - have to remember I have shifted a stone since last summer. Weather so miserable here that i can't help craving the carbs....

purplegirl13 · 21/05/2021 13:17

@SwimmingOnEggshells no I haven't, will investigate. I remembered I have a massage cushion that helps - must use it though!

@BippityBobbityBoo absolutely record it!

@humptydumpty21 this weather is making me want to eat my body weight in carbs.

@BlodwinTheThird eek, we are so close to getting under 10st!

purplegirl13 · 21/05/2021 13:21

@Morningmaeve well done on the maintain. It's such slow going isn't it? I have had a steady losses from starting this journey at 10st8 but know as I get lighter it's going to be sooo much harder.

Lulooo · 21/05/2021 13:32

Hi, can I join you here for company and moral support?
I started off at 13st 10lb about 1.5 months ago and I'm now 12st 6lbs. At 5' 2 I'm grossly overweight but making baby steps. I have my neices wedding coming up in a few months and want to be a reasonable size by then. Sick of being the fat one of the family.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 13:59

I completely empathise @Morningmaeve I've only lost 1lb since 23rd April!

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 14:02

Because I'm a sad bastard, I keep an excel spreadsheet of my weight as well as updating MyFitnessPal. I'm not very consistent with it because I don't like to log on the weeks when I go up a bit Grin Very slow downward trend.

Maybe it's in the same gene as being short. I used to have a spreadsheet and graph of milk production when I was expressing with DD!

I've also got an incredible one I made where If you type in what time you want to serve Christmas dinner it auto populates the exact time to carry out every step in the full set of tasks.

OP posts:
SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 14:20

That's so funny @neverenoughchelseaboots I made an excel spreadsheet working backwards from serving time this year! it wasn't fancy with the auto populate thing, I might need to up my game for next Christmas 🙊

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/05/2021 14:22

Haha, you too @purplegirl13! they're almost identical, even the colour-coded BMI column!!!
