I'm good thanks @purplegirl13

I realise I've been incredibly quiet the last few weeks, that's because I've put 4lbs on. It is mainly white toast and Twixes that's done jt, but also a little bambino! Good job I'd already quit the wine Shock

Bloody typical, I briefly loved that 8st 10lbs. I might see it again in another 3 years.

Eek congratulations @neverenoughchelseaboots what wonderful news! Grin

neverenoughchelseaboots · 05/05/2021 18:39

Thank you @AuldFox. I can't believe I got to a point of feeling slim and like my old self for all of a couple of months though! But, timing is never perfect I guess.

Congratulations @neverenoughchelseaboots! Exciting news. Not a great week here diet-wise - carbs galore... Tasty but won't help with my Friday weigh-in

TheProvincialLady · 05/05/2021 19:28

Aw congratulations @neverenoughchelseaboots that’s the best reason ever for putting on 4lbs!

purplegirl13 · 05/05/2021 19:55

On the app so can't tag @neverenough congratulations! Lucky you'd already given up the wine Smile

WellTidy · 05/05/2021 20:08

@neverenoughchelseaboots congratulations! Lovely news.

Gingernaut · 05/05/2021 21:25

My two week sick note runs out today.

In theory, I should be back to work tomorrow, but my boss doesn't know what to do with me - the work is too physical to do without aggravating something.

I have to get another sick note tomorrow, send screenshots to the boss before sending it in by post and stand by.

Occupational health have been informed, the boss is sympathetic, but in need of a functioning member of staff and I'm worried about any capability procedure resulting in hsving no job to go to if I can't be redeployed.

I feel like such a failure.

Knittingnanny · 05/05/2021 22:57

Congrats never enough! Eat for all of us for a few months and start again after the lovely little baby is here x

Sooverthemill · 06/05/2021 09:09

@neverenoughchelseaboots congratulations! ( though for one minute I thought you had bought a coffee machine).
@Gingernaut it's very tough. Do you have any decent support from HR or a trade union?
DD is still dreadful and we are awaiting results of a blood test. Nurse was really kind which helps. But I'm exhausted. Trying not to snack. Thank goodness I don't keep crisps in the house?

SwimmingOnEggshells · 06/05/2021 10:26

@neverenoughchelseaboots huge congratulations! that's lovely to hear.

My weight is back up to 8 10, argh argh argh argh. I just cannot seem to get my arse in gear to lose anymore weight.

@TheProvincialLady it's just food sitting in your gut that's led to the gain, no way you can eat that and put on over a lb :)

neverenoughchelseaboots · 06/05/2021 14:38

Thanks all!

I'll still stick around if you don't mind? Then I'll get back on the wagon next year when you're all maintaining 😇

Good morning all. I’m weighing in early today as I woke and couldn’t go back to sleep. Swimmingoneggshells you were right...I lost the pasta and ice cream 1.5lbs in a day or so, it was just a fluctuation. I am now 8st 0 which was my revised goal. Am tempted to lose another pound just so I can be back in the 7 stone range, for old time’s sake 😀

Good luck to all the weighers-in today.

WellTidy · 07/05/2021 08:48

@TheProvincialLadyxongratulations, that is a fantastic result

I am back down to 9st 4.5lb today which I am pleased about. Lovely as it was to indulge, I need to get back on it. I have my second Covid vaccine later today though, and I felt very flu-y after the first one. I am going to get my walk in early doors so that I can put my feet up if I’m not feeling too hot.

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 08:51

I have now reached 0.5st/7lbs lost! Next goal is 10st/140lbs

05/03/21 10st 8.8
12/03/21 10st 8.4
19/03/21 10st 7
26/03/21 10st 6
02/04/21 10st 5.2
09/04/21 10st 4.2
16/04/21 10st 4
23/04/21 10st 2.8
30/04/21 10st3
07/05/21 10st1.6

Total loss 7.2

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 08:57

@neverenoughchelseaboots yes, do stick around - it wouldn't be the same without you!

@SwimmingOnEggshells are you still on soups for lunches? 8.10 isn't too high, what were you aiming for?

@TheProvincialLady @WellTidy good results there.

Today's plan:
B - raspberry kefir drink
S - cappuccino
L - scrambled eggs and salsa on rye toast
D - tofu and veg red curry with jasmine rice
Snacks if needed: cucumber and houmous, nuts

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 09:39

@WellTidy the advice I received from medical professionals was to take paracetamol an hour before your jab, and then every 4 hours (during waking hours) for 24hrs. Plus lots of water!

Sooverthemill · 07/05/2021 09:46

@WellTidy I felt dreadful for about 8 days after first Pfizer jab and nothing at all after 2nd which was 2 weeks ago

BlodwinTheThird · 07/05/2021 09:53

No loss for me this week. I can’t stall at over ten stone. I’m so bloody fed up. I am going to have to engage ‘zero tolerance’ next week.

Congratulations on the baby news neverenough - that is lovely news 😊

SwimmingOnEggshells · 07/05/2021 09:55

@purplegirl13 I'm aiming for 8,5 but I have completely stalled for over a month now. Not really on the soups anymore, toasted cheese sandwiches have crept in...Will get back to the soup today I think :)

And the battery on my scales is gone so can't weigh today

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 10:04

@SwimmingOnEggshells might not be a bad thing to not weigh in today. Get yourself back on the soups and that'll at least balance out any sweets etc

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 10:05

@SwimmingOnEggshells what about salads now we're into Spring?

neverenoughchelseaboots · 07/05/2021 10:10

Oh please do share any salad recipes everyone, I'm much better with (proper) salads than soups.

I think I may have already mentioned this one but it's lovely - chunky peppers and sliced courgettes fried with a touch of oil. Mixed through with spinach leaves, beetroot chunks and cubed feta with black pepper.

@purplegirl13 I like to list out my weigh ins like that too, I find it reassuring that progress is slow but steady. And also shows long term sustainability.

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 10:19

@neverenoughchelseaboots for me it's been an eye opener to realise 'salad' doesn't always mean salad leaves. It's been great when I've run out out leaves but have the other ingredients. On those occasions I like to add in half a pack of lentil www.merchant-gourmet.com/products/range/ready-to-eat-pulses-grains/ and add feta/soft goats/avocado etc.

Oh and fresh herbs, like parsley/mint/coriander in a salad is lovely

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2021 10:20

*soft goats cheese although you can add soft goats if you want to Wink
