@Knittingnanny you've inspired me to have a couple of poached eggs over the weekend. I love eggs! Nothing wrong with you joining the grandchildren with the takeaway later. I hope your scales show the magic number this morning!

@skylover Given how active you are, have you thought about upping your calories slightly in the week, or reaching for a protein snack? I know I couldn't cope with being frequently hungry as that would send me straight to the easy carbs. Great news on the trousers fitting!

I've lost 1.2lbs this week taking me to 10st 2.8, a bigger loss this week as it's after my period and I only lost 0.2lb last week.

05/03/21 10st 8.8
12/03/21 10st 8.4
19/03/21 10st 7
26/03/21 10st 6
02/04/21 10st 5.2
09/04/21 10st 4.2
16/04/21 10st 4
23/04/21 10st 2.8

Total loss 6lbs

Morningmaeve · 23/04/2021 08:21

Hello all. Excellent progress @purplegirl13! Weigh in day for me and I am down to 9st 0.8lb. So another half pound off. I am really pleased as have been making a real effort this week as had stalled for several weeks. My goal remains getting under 9stone (aka @Knittingnanny's magic number) and I'll review then. I don't tend to feel hungry @skylover but I am way less active than you!

purplegirl13 · 23/04/2021 08:35

@Morningmaeve good job on the loss! I find this thread really useful at keeping me on track.

Forgot to to mention my plan today:

Today:
B - cherry yogurt
L - half a tub of groceries.asda.com/product/soup/yorkshire-provender-mushroom-soup-with-wholegrain-black-rice/910002989388
D - possibly veggie sausages, mash, peas and gravy
S - quorn picnic eggs and whatever else I need to bump up calories.

BlodwinTheThird · 23/04/2021 09:05

Great stuff purplegirl and morningmaeve!!
I am 66.1 this week, so total loss is 19.6 pounds, and 33.3 to go. Looking forward to my weekend wine 🍷

Knittingnanny · 23/04/2021 10:39

Big announcement! I crossed the threshold into 1980’s weight, dodgy scales showed 8.13 today. I’ve decided I like these dodgy scales!
Going to try to get to about 8.11/12 then start devising a manageable maintaining phase
Have a lovely weekend everyone

WellTidy · 23/04/2021 10:44

Great losses all round! I am 9st 5.25lb today, which is a loss from last Friday. Definitely a result of the walking, so I am going again later this morning. Another absolutely glorious dah today, which is set to continue until the end of next week, at least. Must make the most of it and feel on a high next Friday too.

purplegirl13 · 23/04/2021 11:01

Star for you @Knittingnanny. Great job on getting below 9st! Those dodgy scales are a keeper.

Good results everyone.

@WellTidy I have committed to 50k steps weekly which means I've got to get in 28k steps before Sunday eve. Now you've posted about your walk, you're spurring me on to make sure I get out this afternoon.

humptydumpty21 · 23/04/2021 11:15

Well done all on the great losses, 8.10 today (-3lbs). It's finally coming off Smile.

TheProvincialLady · 23/04/2021 11:24

Morning all - I’m here for the weigh in. I’m now 8st 4lbs. Looking forward to hearing how everyone is getting on. Fingers crossed knittingnanny that you’ve crossed the threshold today!

TheProvincialLady · 23/04/2021 11:25

Doh, I had missed your update earlier. Well done!!!

AuldFox · 23/04/2021 12:24

Great losses everyone!

I’m reporting a loss for once: 1 whole lb

Current weight: 8st 11

WellTidy · 23/04/2021 12:34

Wow - I am really impressed at the losses, but super super impressed by how many of you are 8 stone something. I am determined to get there. Really hoping for early June.

BlodwinTheThird · 23/04/2021 13:39

I’m impressed at the ones who are 9 something! Seems like a distant dream to me.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 23/04/2021 13:59

Wow! So much progress, well done everyone.

I had a look at my post from last week and I said I was 8stone 10 and 3/4 lbs, I think that might be wrong, I thought I was 8 stone 10 and 1/4? Anyway, not that it really matter because I'm 8 stone 9 and 1/4 today. Delighted, that's nearly a stone off. I started at the end of September so it's taking me bloody ages, but at least I'm seeing some progress.

purplegirl13 · 23/04/2021 14:00

@BlodwinTheThird you've done amazingly well so far. We'll get there, we just need to keep going...

BlodwinTheThird · 23/04/2021 14:16

Thanks purplegirl - you too! I’ve still got so far to go. I worked out my starting weight in stones and it was getting on for 12 stone :( I didn’t feel that big but I reckon I must have body dysmorphia as when I was 7 stone I didn’t feel skinny either! First goal is to get to healthy BMI (was 30.4, now 26.8), and then it’s ‘vanity dieting’ as going to a sort of reunion at end of June (Covid permitting).

AuldFox · 23/04/2021 17:13

I’ve been losing weight at a glacial pace. It just won’t happen quickly anymore at my age!

BlodwinTheThird · 23/04/2021 18:55

Auldfox it’s because you’re 8st11 - good heavens woman, I can barely see you!

SwimmingOnEggshells · 23/04/2021 19:09

I'm the same @AuldFox, sooooo slow. I thought I had lost 1lb this week and then I opened an excel file I use for tracking my weight and apparently I was 8 stone 9.5lbs a month ago! So a quarter pound loss in a month! pretty pathetic but I'm keeping at it. I'd love to get to 8 stone 5 lbs

AuldFox · 23/04/2021 19:42

@BlodwinTheThird

Auldfox it’s because you’re 8st11 - good heavens woman, I can barely see you!
Haha! Grin Just aiming for the centre of the normal BMI range for my height. I’m about 4 lb off target.

I’ve no desire to be 100lb soaking wet again, which I was until I hit about 25 years of age! I was slim, but no one ever said I was too skinny, ever. I think I may have hollow bones...

AuldFox · 23/04/2021 19:44

I’ve got big boobs for my frame. I think that might be why I never look scrawny. The face on the other hand....nope that definitely can’t take a low end of normal BMI anymore....

Knittingnanny · 24/04/2021 12:08

Auldfox, me too! Strangely even after losing over a stone, I’m still wearing 36DD. Although they now don’t overspill!

AuldFox · 24/04/2021 12:17

@Knittingnanny

Have you tried the boob or bust method for measuring your bra size?

www.booborbust.com/

My size completely changed and the boobs are now hoiked into the correct position Grin
I went from a 34 to a 30 inch back.

Knittingnanny · 24/04/2021 13:58

I did do the measuring from that site but the recommended band size 32 nearly strangled me! I prob could wear a 34E but the 36DD ( under wired full cup minimisers from m and s) seem to be ok . I remember reading years ago that in a supportive bra, your nipples should be level with a spot on your arm half way between shoulder and elbow, so that’s my go to position!

Sooverthemill · 25/04/2021 09:23

I've been AWOL. Having a hugely difficult time with very extra poorly DD at present ( she is bed bound from a chronic illness or 2) and little sleep, shovelling down crap meals BUT avoided snacking so I weighed myself today and was really pleased I'd lost a little bit 8 st 13.3. Ridiculously that has cheered me up no end.

Well done everyone else.
