Well, I’m confused. I ate at least 2,800 cals on Saturday (amazing food and a lot of chocolate) and 2000 yesterday (hot cross buns and a lot of butter, the rest of the chocolate and my meals) and I have lost 0.75lb in those two days. Tentatively stepped back on the scales this morning to assess the damage and make a plan for the week ahead, and I am 9st 6.5lb. Which puts my bmi at 24.9.

How strange is that?! Obviously not an eating pattern that I will aim to repeat, and it may be that the gain is simply delayed, but I am staggered. I’ve been coming in at 1000 cals or thereabouts daily for weeks and weeks (sometimes 1200 cals, sometimes 800 cals), and not eating any exercise calories.

Knittingnanny · 05/04/2021 11:49

Well tidy, it’s so unpredictable isn’t it?
I’m still hovering around 9.1-2 lb so happy with that. I’ve just found a 1975 photo of me and will post it with today’s photo as I’m really happy with how I feel about my weight today!

Oblomov21 · 05/04/2021 11:51

Joining please.
Being small is so shit, losing weight wise.

Aged 64 post 3 children, menopause, divorce, remarriage, retirement! Obviously the faces are vastly different!

I'm confused too. Couldn't get past the 9.1 mark for weeks and today I weighed myself I'm shocked to see 8.13! First time in 18 months I have seen 8 something on the scales. Someone did write on here that maybe I need to increase calories and then go back down again to see a jump, maybe that was it? Whatever it was, I'm taking it for today Smile

Knittingnanny · 05/04/2021 12:33

Well done humpty, it’s all so random with us shorties

WellTidy · 05/04/2021 12:35

Great news humpty, let’s take it and hope for more of the same!

I absolutely love that 1970s photo knitting, that outfit is absolutely beautiful. Wow. You look great now too, but that 1970s shot is a beauty.

WellTidy · 05/04/2021 12:40

That’s fab planning spotty. I take my hat off to you. After the chocolate fest that was yesterday, we decided not to have the planned beef Wellington, so we are having it today, with triple cooked chips (M&S) and wilted spinach.

After that, I am back on plan.

I don’t cook anything specific for me, as I just have a small portion of what the about eats, but my favourite low cal meals are soups and cold meats. I also love chicken marinated in yoghurt and spices.

FedNlanders · 05/04/2021 13:57

I've had a terrible week.....not weighing till next week 🤫

Knittingnanny · 05/04/2021 14:10

Good planning Spotty
The 1970’s vintage photo is one of my favourites, the best bit is covered up! The red headscarf ! I’ll see if I can show it. That was taken in my first year at Birmingham, the teacher training part of the university in Edgbaston .

Knittingnanny · 05/04/2021 14:14

It’s a weird angle, I look much taller than 5’2”!

Husband has taken a new version as he says my hair is the same ( completely different colour dear)
I used to look at the 1970’s photos and get a bit worried about passage of time, but I seemed to stop worrying about that after about aged 50 and just concentrated on keeping a healthy weight for health purposes.

I absolutely love that 70s outfit @Knittingnanny !

I have a similar top now that's one of my favourites, I'm now fancying some flares to put with it.

Never enough, I should have get them, back in fashion soon probably
The red headscarf is now a pirate accessory in the grandchildren’s dressing up box

Knittingnanny · 05/04/2021 15:22

Kept not get
I think we used to add extra fabric to make them even wider at the bottom!

BlodwinTheThird · 05/04/2021 17:25

May I join you? I seem to be considerably heavier than most of you so don’t expect to get to target-ish weight till year end.

I’m 157cm and I actually started on 12th Feb at 75kg (ugh). Last weigh in was 68.3 so lost about 15lbs I think. Gone totally off piste over Easter though so will get back in the horse tomorrow and pray I’ve maintained and not gained by Friday (when I track my weight).

WellTidy · 05/04/2021 17:36

Welcome Blod. I was a lot heavier at 10st 13.75lb at the start of the year, and am 9st 6.5lb now. Still a way to go, especially as I’ve had a complete blow out over the last three days. It’s been great though, I’ve really enjoyed it!

BlodwinTheThird · 05/04/2021 17:42

Thanks WellTidy! That’s a great weight loss - you must be very chuffed with yourself 👍. Joining you on the Easter blowout!

bez91 · 05/04/2021 18:38

Hi ladies, can I join? 😊

I'm 5ft, currently 58kg so bmi has literally just snuck into the "high" I'm a realist and I'm not big but obviously being a short arse doesn't do us any favours!

Not really got a target weight maybe around 53/54kg mark, just want to feel better about myself and more toned. Was at 55kg this time last year, reasonably fit but since had 2 pregnancies and that ended in miscarriage so my weight has yo-yo'd. Still TTC but really need a distraction 😬 trying to workout 3 times a week and also plenty of walking as well as not inhaling chocolate every time I enter the kitchen 👌🏼

spottygymbag · 06/04/2021 02:15

Knitting I love the 70's outfit. Would love to see the headscarf if you can make it work. I'm also loving the current boots too.
Started off on the right foot today by walking in to work so I'm 9300 steps and 6.3km down so far.

BasilLeaf · 06/04/2021 06:53

Hope you’ve all had lovely weekends!

I’m 9st 0.8 this morning, 0.2lb lighter than the beginning of Easter weekend. I really indulged Saturday and Sunday, (and thoroughly enjoyed it) then yesterday fasted till lunchtime and kept to 1000 cals. I feel really chuffed because I stepped on the scales this morning expecting to have put everything back on. But no! All well and on track to lose another 1lb this week Grin

WellTidy · 06/04/2021 07:37

The weekend has caught up with me, and I’m up by 1.5lb to 9st8lb. Which is fair enough given how much I’ve eaten. Back to normal today, having had a lovely Easter.

Welcome bez and well done to still be on track Basil. Spotty I also like starting the day with exercise, it helps me stay on track for the rest of the day as I don’t want to undo the good work, or I feel that I can enjoy a treat as I’ve already earned it!

skylover · 06/04/2021 08:27

Welcome bez, I've been through that alot in the past too and not only does it mess with your mind it messes with your waist too! I hope the distraction helps...

Glad we all enjoyed our weekends off, so much fun Smile Back on it today with a run after nursery drop off. I weigh in at the end of April.

Good luck getting back to normal everyone!

Morningmaeve · 06/04/2021 08:42

Posting for accountability - no change 9st 2.6lb. Didn't go overboard over Easter but was fairly relaxed with food so pretty happy to have maintained. My efforts to get under 9st 2lb continue...
