HELLO & WELCOME! March already and the start of Spring! We’ll all feel better with the onset of warmer weather ☀️.

This thread is for those of us who enjoy healthy eating, exercising and feeling motivated to reach (or maintain) a healthy weight/bmi. The founding members of these threads are inspirational and supportive in equal measure. I’m sure @SunshineCake & @halfshrunkmoretogo won’t mind me using them as Poster Girls.
They have both demonstrated that if we eat right, get outside & move more your mental health will heap the rewards. Better mental health = better choices. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

There are so many enjoyable lifestyle options out there without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by doing walking vids & strength sessions with light weighs.

As no one size fits all members need to follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless this thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

There is no shaming, competition or harsh words to be found on these threads. We are in this together.

Thank you @TheRealHousewife I feel fine now, except for wind Blush. Not sure what is going on but at least I am not in pain. I wonder if it was my bean sprouts and veg lunch? I have only had lunch and dinner, no snacks, no chocolate Shock, nothing with sugar in except the Christmas pudding. Emotionally feel on top of things. Had an afternoon walk with doggy as couldn't face running if the village was full of visitors again but looking forward to going tomorrow.

Have a good sleep everyone and pick one thing to do better tomorrow than today. We are all doing great but it is such a boost to improve the next day.

Starting spring at 14-10
These threads have inspired me to get off my ass and move more started getting up when DH does and go for a walk before dc get up for homeschooling, so thank you for the inspiration don’t think I would be walking in the mornings but for it and as it’s easier do that on a clear head have given up alcohol to boot. Think food choices after a few drinks were definitely slowing me down, way to easy to order fast food delivery.

Can I join please? I was on the Feb lose 7lb thread and have managed to go from 11st 2lb to 10st 9lb, although it’s weigh day today so hoping to be another 1lb down.
Will check in later with my official start weight.
Hoping to get down to 10st 4lb this month. Also signed up to a 100km challenge for March. Started well with a 10km run yesterday, so 90km to go!

Normal service has been resumed here. Apologies for my pity party.
I ran 6.6km. Had a chat with a neighbour while walking the dog who runs for her job and I am running at her training speed..ShockGrin.

I decided I would weigh today after my run as yesterday was not after a run and I am 11 stone 3.2. Yesterday I was 11 5. Confusion again. I have turned the scales around and I am going to try really hard to only weigh once a week. Please help me in this quest. Dh said I said you should do that ages ago......

As I’ve now reached a healthy BMI, I’ll only be weighing once a month. I’d like to reach a BMI of 21-22 to have a bit of a “cushion” in case I put weight back on again, but that’s a bonus not a necessity. This is the lowest weight I’ve been in a decade, I’ve lost 9kg since I started on this forum tail end of last year, a very significant difference as I’m only 5’3 tall.

I’ll still be checking in and cheering you all on, go team! Smile

Thanks @AuldFox. I really do think it is a combination of things and not every day is the same plus things only work for a time ime. I haven't had a period since September so not having that issue. Well done on your achievement.

I've been out of the loop for a while, having thought that the original thread had died off I only discovered the subsequent ones today. My weight has really plateaued off the last few weeks but I've upped my exercise and definitely look and feel slimmer even if my stupidly expensive Fitbit scales refuse to acknowledge any change in my body fat%

Day 2 done. Today was good. Managed to stick to plan
B fast
L chicken and ham with boiled eggs
D chicken thighs and salad
Snack was a yogurt and some fruit.
Did have a few cubes of chocolate but better than a whole bar. Feeling positive.

Oops. I think you mean no weighing tomorrow ?. I weighed today so it was the same as the others in that I weight after a run. I didn't run yesterday and weighed I just to see. Idiot. I'll run on Thursday but I promise not to weigh until Monday or Tuesday depending on which day I run Grin.

Lunch - left over carbonara. 1/3 home made bacon and onion muffin. Satsuma. 1 Lindor. 1 and a half home made choc chip cookie.

Dinner - sweet and sour chicken, special egg fried rice. Both home made.
Fail - tiny potion of dinner at 8.15pm Sad.

1.4 kilo loss for me this morning. I find it very hard to go under 1500 calories a day. Trying to do OMAD. Have read about fast 800. Wondering if that's a good idea for a couple of months? I'm cirrently 127 kilos. I was 146 in September. Awful.

With November to February a struggle I signed up for Fast800 online.
Weathers better so some outdoor walks and as before Leslie videos.
I hope to catch up.
