Hi,

Thought I'd start the new thread ready for tomorrow. I am aiming to be 9st1 by the end of March, have decided to be ambitious for once.

Not covered in glory here either and likely might not be great for the start of the week either as I have a last minute interview to prepare for on Wednesday morning so my focus will be on that rather than preparing healthy meals and exercising.

NutellaEllaElla · 22/03/2021 16:21

Hey snap, I have an interview on Friday that i'm prepping for. Best of luck with yours Badger.

Water goal met for the day. I'm hoping the sunny blue sky weather holds a little longer for a walk after work.

Octopus37 · 22/03/2021 20:13

@NutellaEllaElla and @TheHoneyBadger good luck with your interviews. Food not healthy but not huge quantity wise today, Have managed 11,789 steps, quite pleased with that. Had blood test results back which confirmed that I am going through the change, looking into whether or not its a good idea to go on HRT or try herbal supplements.

TheHoneyBadger · 22/03/2021 20:59

Thank you nutella - good luck to you too Smile

At least you know now Octopus I guess - the tests are often inconclusive so I'm glad you got a clear result.

The wheels have totally fallen off of the wagon here. It feels like pmt like hunger but who knows when your periods are all over the place Hmm

drspouse · 23/03/2021 03:32

Good couple of days food wise though long bike ride today = v hungry. I'm riding every other day but finding it a bit hard to balance the rest days.

NutellaEllaElla · 23/03/2021 11:15

spouse, you posted at 3.30am today...not sleeping well?

Happy weird lockdown anniversary. I'm obviously feeling stressed and emotional but am trying not to say fuck it and just eat lots of chocolate but it doesn't help that our lovely families have sent us a box of 70 Guylian chocolates and a 1.5 KILO chocolate egg!!!

drspouse · 23/03/2021 11:38

I often wake up briefly and have 10 minutes on MN but today.. you are right... I am WIPED even though I actually didn't feel like I was awake that long.

Octopus37 · 23/03/2021 12:23

Know what you mean @drspouse. waking up in the night can really do you in. @TheHoneyBadger, you're right its good to have a conclusive test result. Dared to weigh this morning, was 9st3.75. Have done 9239 steps so far today.

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 23/03/2021 13:01

Forgot to weight today personally. Head too full of trying to get all my lessons planned to autopilot level. I have my interview and then 4 lessons back to back so I need to be prepared for the interview and a full day after.

Probably a good job as, as I said, the wheels have come off my wagon this week. Hoping the damage won't be too bad.

Yay for 9st3.75 Octopus - that's more like your usual and proves you've been back on track and just focussing on steps seems to have done the job.

NutellaEllaElla · 24/03/2021 09:11

Quiet here lately. Hope everyone is ok!

Water water water

drspouse · 24/03/2021 09:21

Ploughing along here, in it for the long haul. Was planning a tea that we haven't given the DCs for a while (chorizo and pea risotto - trying to get them to eat more rice) but have no frozen peas which it needs so debating whether to go and get some or go for something boring instead.

NutellaEllaElla · 24/03/2021 09:26

That sounds yum. I always try to have a bag of peas in the freezer, so handy.

Octopus37 · 24/03/2021 12:30

Didn't weigh today, 9371 steps so far, although I've eaten a 80g bag of mini eggs. Bought some Menopace supplements today, handy that Holland & Barrett do buy one get one on supplements. The GP advised me to eat more dairy, so going to have some Gouda cheese with salad for lunch in a bit.
Know its scary with talks of further waves and new strains, but I'm (probably naively) trying to keep positive. Have already booked a couple of pub visits for when they reopen. Hope everyone is ok.

No weigh in. Fasted all day today and was busy, had a drink when I got home and soon to eat reheated pizza.

Had my last day of teaching today, just have a parents evening tomorrow night and then I'm done till next term bar a landslide of assessments to mark.

Tired! Hoping I'll find the energy (and the weather) to be more active over the easter break.

Yum to mini eggs. Ds had cream soda and insisted I tried it to replace the tonic in the G&T I was pouring. Surprisingly drinkable Wink After a day like today I'd probably drink anything though.

Octopus37 · 25/03/2021 06:59

Hope you manage to get some rest over East @TheHoneyBadger. Eaten a lot the last couple of days, was very tired on Tuesday, bad nights sleep and hungry yesterday. 9st5.25 this morning. Aiming to do well with water and steps today.

drspouse · 25/03/2021 08:01

We usually have a bag of peas but the DCs demolish them... Anyway I got them, plus quite a lot of short date rolls/crumpets/muffins which I find very handy for one portion rather than "oh go on I'll have another slice of toast".

Overweight · 25/03/2021 08:52

Sorry I haven't managed to keep up this week but hope you are all managing ok?

Only 300g off last week which is as good as nothing. Serves me right for using too much of my calorie allowance on chocolate and wine and not enough on vegetables! Must do better...

NutellaEllaElla · 25/03/2021 09:57

It's better than a gain!

I'm feeling very sorry for myself as i've been suffering with horrible sinus pain all week. I've been to the Dr a hundred times, have been on the ear, nose and throat waiting list for a year (Pandemic, I know) but tbh this has been a problem for me since I was 15 and no one's ever taken it seriously because I don't make a fuss and still go to work dizzy, distracted and struggling.

So pity party for one please.

Octopus37 · 25/03/2021 18:35

@NutellaEllaElla sorry to hear that, really hope that you feel better soon. Sounds as if you need to make more of a fuss as soon as you can. (flowers)

Hi team, sorry not keeping up with the thread. Just skim read - good luck to those with interviews, and sorry to hear of low energy levels and general 'mehness' it's bloody hard going isn't it?

I've been on a bit of a rollercoaster. Ate lots, gained the 2lb that I'd lost (after gaining and losing it multiple times!) got angry at gaining 'because I hadn't eaten THAT much, realised I probably had eaten that much, so got my focus back on.

Been good for three days, with exercise and diet.

Tomorrow a colleague & friend is bringing in loads of treats to the office so that will be tricky, will join in but limit myself.

Do you feel rude saying no when you're offered biscuits etc? Met a friend for a walk this week and she brought some lovely cookies to go with our coffee - they are 370 cals each! I enjoyed it obvs but makes it really hard to stay within calories.

I feel like there's going to be a lot more things like that as we come out of lockdown. It's so positive but don't want to undo my hard work as soon as we can socialise!

NutellaEllaElla · 25/03/2021 19:17

Thanks Octopus.

Holy moly 370! That's super hard to fit in.
I've turned down cookies in the office before by saying i'll have one later. Looks delicious but i've just eaten/am trying to eat healthy etc.

I feel rude but when the roles have been reversed, i've always respected the willpower of people who can turn it down!

Hangoverstruggles · 25/03/2021 20:31

This is the fucker! Delicious but 370 is ridiculous!!

Work is rife for treats at the moment, plus talk of meeting up in gardens for wine etc. So exciting in many ways but not conducive to weight loss!

Hope you're feeling better @NutellaEllaElla

Mindful March
drspouse · 25/03/2021 21:36

Migraine today, which always means I need loads of sugar. Tomorrow is another day. I have a long bike ride planned but I may put it off till Sat.

Hangoverstruggles · 25/03/2021 22:37

Sorry to hear that @drspouse. I was similar on Saturday, work up with the eye pain, and nausea and had to eat loads toast & marmalade - always crave sugary carbs when migrainy. Kind of like a hangover.

Hope you feel better tomorrow, might be best to rest up a bit
