Welcome to the 'lose 7lbs per month' thread. Our usual host @cricketmum29 is having a little rest for Feb but we can follow her good example and continue to give each other support and inspiration and I'm sure she'll drop in when she's feeling well. Flowers

All are welcome to join, there's a really good mix of diets and methods and everyone is really helpful.

Previous thread is here: Jan lose 7lbs thread

I started last year and I'm so grateful to all the support and kindness throughout the months Flowers Jan was about maintaining for me but finger's crossed February will be about losing again.

feeling a little disheartened as weight is fluctuating and this morning for no apparent reason I am up by 1.5lbs so not great. Finding it relatively easy to stick to a reasonable intake during the day but my absolute worst time is evenings when I am technically finished eating for the day and boredom/reward brain kicks in. The trick is probably not to have anything in the house that I can be tempted by but I have 2 daughters who complain when there are no snacks around. Maybe they will have to lock them in their rooms out of my sight - the snacks not the girls !

Ecci · 23/02/2021 09:47

0.8 lbs up this week, but still overall 2lbs down for this month so far. It's coming down so slowly now, but that's OK. 11 St 4.8lbs this morning, still hoping to get very close to 11 by end of the month. I do have a NSV. I bought a pair of size 12 jeans a couple of months ago, been trying them on once a week and today, finally, I can do them up. They're still a little bit too tight to be comfortable but I'm almost there. So delighted. When I started losing weight I was a size 20/22 and I didn't believe I'd could get to even size 16, it seemed impossible. The idea of being nearly size 12 never even entered my head. It must be about 50 years since I was this size, in my early teens, having been obese or morbidly obese all my adult life. It feels great. For those of you that aren't yet as far along as me, just keep going. If I can do it, so can you.

Please may I join this thread.
Feeling embarrassed and disheartened as have been put on the vulnerable list as I'm nearly at the 40 BMI mark!
Please can I have a little support to shift this blasted weight!
I've already lost a stone since November last year but could really use some accountability

GetTheStartyParted · 23/02/2021 21:26

Ahh, show annoying @Onesmallstep67 I hope it disappears just as quickly for you.

Amazing @Ecci Star well done. Hope you are super proud of yourself!

Hi @queenofthelamas and welcome. I started my diet last January, my BMI was 39.8, I've since lost 4st and its now 29.1Smile working towards getting in the healthy zone but pleased to not be obese anymore.

You can do this. Don't be embarrassed, be proud that you're doing something about it. You need to value yourself and make your health a part of that. Well done for losing a stone already. What is your plan?

queenofthelamas · 23/02/2021 22:21

@GetTheStartyParted thanks for the warm welcome. At the moment I'm focusing on calorie counting (currently looking at the meal prep king cook books!). My problem tends to be I work really hard with it for a month then loose all momentum!

Howmanysleepsnow · 23/02/2021 22:26

Still 9st9lb today and I’ve been craving chocolate (I may or may not have given in and eaten a creme egg... and maybe a snack size twirl...) Unsurprisingly AF showed up tonight so I’m now resigned to losing nothing for the next week and hoping I can keep my willpower more or less intact regardless.

GW - 9st 7lbs

Onesmallstep67 · 24/02/2021 09:24

Morning. Thank you for the words of encouragement @GetTheStartyParted. It has disappeared and a little more on top. Yay. Now just teetering on the -7lbs for the month. It's my birthday on Monday and not sure what my plans are for celebrating it over the weekend - limited options which usually contain nice food at home these days for any celebration! Going to try to be extra good as much as I can as seeing the numbers come down on the scales is the motivation I need to stick with this.
Welcome @queenofthelamas, I also have a high BMI, not sure what it is or was at my heaviest. I lost 4 stone in 2019 but lockdown and a bit of complacency has lead to a 2 stone regain. I am however working on that. And each pound or kg down is an achievement. I'm terribly impatient ( and frustrated with myself for the regain ) so want to see instant results but a steady 1-2 lbs a week is best. And eventually we will get there. This thread has always been super supportive.
@HalfShrunkMoreToGo, those are some truly great figures. You must be very happy Wink

Howmanysleepsnow · 24/02/2021 09:42

9st 8lb this morning. 2lb to GW (again! Blush) and 8lb loss in February so far. I gained 10lb in December and the first half of January so I’m relieved it’s going off as quickly as it came.

ILoveAnOwl · 24/02/2021 13:57

Another 1kg loss so

SW: 117kg (25/1/2021)
CW: 108
GW: 67

Really hoping for another 1 kg off this week so I can be 10kg down.

Howmanysleepsnow · 25/02/2021 08:06

Still 9st8lb, despite takeaway last night (had a smaller portion than I used to and stopped eating when full which is an achievement for me!) Total loss since this time last year 2st12lb, 5.75” off my waist.

Foresttheout · 25/02/2021 08:59

Morning All, I have increased to 72.4kg again which is frustrating as I have been pretty good this week and also got in multiple classes and walks. Hoping its just a bit of fluctuation and it'll drop back off in the next week. Ideally with an extra 1kg.

Smarshian · 26/02/2021 09:17

Still 10st 9lb. Really want to get down to 10st 6lb in the next few weeks, that would put me at the top end of a healthy BMI.
@Howmanysleepsnow you are doing so well! What is your final goal?
@Foresttheout I wouldn’t worry too much about fluctuations. It always happens but if you keep on it will definitely come off.

EasterIssland · 26/02/2021 09:35

if anyone likes sweaty Betty they've got discounts today .

Foresttheout · 26/02/2021 11:10

ohh some great deals @EasterIssland sadly all the leggings I liked are not available in my size or I would be 100% wearing those glittery bottomed grey ones to HIIT class. I am the worlds most boring dresser until it comes to exercise clothing when I go with the brighter the better Grin
Haven't weighed here today, just enjoying my afternoon bowl of strawberries and planning a 5km walk this evening

Onesmallstep67 · 26/02/2021 14:32

Just checking in to stay accountable. I am bobbling around with a 1lb+ gain and loss all week. Looking unlikely now that I am going to finish the month on more than a 5lb loss overall. it's my birthday weekend so don't want to put too much pressure on myself when there is so little to fully celebrate and enjoy at the moment. But hopefully we're heading in the right direction- warmer weather, restrictions easing and salad season ! I eat a fair bit of salad already but through the winter it's not been as easy when you feel like something hot. I really must up my game and get a few more filling, low cal meals into my repertoire.
here's to the weekend and ending February on a high low

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/02/2021 08:37

@Smarshian I’m aiming for 9st6lb so nearly there! 2.5lb to go (I’ve fluctuated upwards by 0.5lb today). February loss so far 7.5lb.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 27/02/2021 11:56

Oh so blinking impatient. 1 more lb and I hit the 4 stone lost mark, I've been hovering up and down for the last 2 weeks and not quite made it yet. Need to really really be good this weekend so I can tick off this goal and start on the next.

GetTheStartyParted · 27/02/2021 19:00

@Howmanysleepsnow and @HalfShrunkMoreToGo you are both so close! Hope you both reach your goals ASAP.

Fakeaway Saturday here, just had a Fathead dough pizza (bbq chicken and red onion) with homemade coleslaw, delicious.

We have made the most of the weather today and sorted our garden out, lovely to get some fresh. Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/02/2021 08:36

Final weigh in of the month
1st February 10st2lb
Today 9st8.5lb
Loss 7.5lb
GW 9st 6lb

Tash6000 · 28/02/2021 08:52

No change for me today but a 6lb loss from the second week of Feb so I'm pleased with that!
On to march and hope for another 6-7lb and then I'll be at my goal weight of 10st🤞

Smarshian · 28/02/2021 08:58

Weigh in for me too.
SW: 11st 2lb
CW: 10st 9lb
Total loss 7lb
GW: 9st 2lb
21lb to go.
Most of my loss came quite early on and it’s been a pound a week since then. So for March I am hoping for 5lb, which will get me to 10st 4lb.

EasterIssland · 28/02/2021 09:29

Sw 13st 7.5
Cw 13st 2
Lost 5.5lb so more than what I thought :)
Gw 11st 11.5 by summer

Well done everyone !
