Half a stone by Christmas anyone?

I did really well over the last lockdown and lost 1.5 stone. Over the past month or so the weight's started to creep back on ...

I like to do slow and steady, so am aiming for 6/7lbs by Christmas, using a combination of MFP and being more active.

Can't exercise as such due to a foot injury at the moment.

Would anyone be up for a bit of moral support and chat?

Maybe a weekly check-in too?

Not very exciting @ThatsNotYourPassword

I log every single thing I eat/drink except water into MyFitnessPal and I stay at or under the calorie limit it gives.

I've also added in 2-3 x 30 minute exercise sessions a week like swimming, brisk walk or a YouTube video.

That's it.

I do limit carbs but that's mainly because they're high calorie so I can get more food for my plate if I have greenbeans/mushrooms/mange tout/asparagus than if I have a couple of bits of potato or pasta.

Thank you. I think I’ll try my Fitness Pal, my DH used to use it. It must raise your awareness and stop mindless munching

Fatgirlshrinking that's brilliant, well done! I don't think I'll get my 7lbs off but I'm glad to have lost my 4lbs so far. Definitely gets harder as you get older. I'm motivated though and will try to be mindful of what I eat over Christmas and the impending lockdown ☹️

Downloaded my fitness pal. It looks like the answer - bit scary to see how many calories I actually consumed (it is the wrong time of year to be counting calories).

But I think it will help me be more realistic
Thank you

Stayed the same this week, so 185lb last Wednesday and 185lb today. Went down to 184 at one point during the week but looks like the Xmas hot chocolates put paid to that 😁

Total for this month so far is 7lb loss.

Winealot · 23/12/2020 20:32

Hi, weighed in today at 8st 9.5 so another pound and a half off. Still having a stressy time so not as jubilant as I would normally be!
Thank you for all your lovely messages, hope you all have as good a Christmas as you can in these crazy times! X

Laufeythejust · 23/12/2020 21:26

Weighed in 11 stone 1 today so that’s 6lb off since we started- not quite 7lb but I’m happy! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and maybe we will all be back again in the new year trying to get back to our current weights after Christmas! Grin

Tomcullenisahero · 24/12/2020 16:59

Well done with the losses. Ive been eating like a pig so only have myself to blame that in total I have only lost 3lbs!
Winealot, I hope your stressful situation will resolve itself, I do hope you're ok.
Merry Christmas 🎄

I have put a placeholder meal in MFP for today and tomorrow of 3000 calories and wont be logging my real food as I want to just have a couple of days off. Back to it on Boxing Day though.

Having pizza delivered this evening.

Due to the above I'm expecting a bit of a rise next wednesday on weigh in day but won't let it stress me out.

Tomcullenisahero · 24/12/2020 17:52

Yeah we can't be thinking of calories over the next few days. I had intended on dry January too which would help with shifting a few pounds but we're starting a 6 week lock down from Boxing day so I don't think I'll be forgoing wine and nibbles!

ThatsNotYourPassword · 24/12/2020 18:47

I’ve found My Fitness Pal very useful- but will
be disregarding it for next few days.
Merry Christmas everyone! X
