Half a stone by Christmas anyone?

I did really well over the last lockdown and lost 1.5 stone. Over the past month or so the weight's started to creep back on ...

I like to do slow and steady, so am aiming for 6/7lbs by Christmas, using a combination of MFP and being more active.

Can't exercise as such due to a foot injury at the moment.

Would anyone be up for a bit of moral support and chat?

Maybe a weekly check-in too?

Could we share tips on losing weight? Filling, low calorie meals etc. Exercise ideas.
Currently I’ve gained weight since joining this thread!

I’ve switched my scales to St and Ilbs - which has been a great motivator. I was shocked!

None of this hiding behind meaningless kg any more... (very nearly 10 st - honestly means would be good to lose a stone rather than half stone)

Not a great start. Woke up at 4am and then couldn't get back to sleep. Currently trying to do some work but so tired. It's going to be a long day!
But I've had 2 weetabix with hot milk, and a big glass of water. Trying not to count down the hours until lunchtime or think about the can of coke in the cupboard.

Can I join in with you lot? I think I need some collective support as I’m failing miserably at dieting.

I did feel very motivated today. Completed my first Hiit workout in 2 1/2 years, done my make up and put a nice dress on for the first time in ages.

Buuuuuuut... I’ve just sat and had half a large size of chocolate bar with my morning coffee! I don’t know why I’m soo destructive. It’s like the minute I feel like I’m making progress a little voice in my head tells me to ruin it all - you’re never going to be skinny so why bother?

Currently weigh 11stone 2 which is really overweight for me. I want to be 10stone 6 for Christmas. And ideally 9 stone 6 early next year.

My thoughts on the self-sabotage (not just re weight loss):

I think that if I feel it's not really working I do something Utterly Dreadful so that when the result is woeful I can point to the Utterly Dreadful thing and say well, obviously I'd have done ok if it hadn't been for that.

It doesn't help anything really, of course, but it stops me feeling totally helpless and incompetent.

Me and my husband are doing a workout everyday! And having some sort of diet. Today we will have skinny pizza for lunch 😋 we haven't lost anything yet 😅 but perseverance should give you results right!? 🤞🏼🤞🏼 that's my hope anyways!
I'm not in to loose weight but to tone and loose some of the fat in tummy after my beautiful baby.

I'm going to join you guys...well done so far everyone. I'm trying to stay positive and think of all the foods I can eat at the mo while I'm on this diet, and cooking those. I've written up a list of meal ideas breakfast/lunch/dinner for the week so I don't get bored. I've lost 7 lbs in the last 4 weeks but really want to lose 7 more before Xmas.

Wednesday weigh in!
I can't believe it but I've lost another two pounds! I started off so good last week but I just get steadily worse so I'm over the moon I've lost! I'm so motivated as I'm down into the next stone bracket where I want to stay. Even if I can stay the same this week I'll be laughing.

Wednesday weigh in done, and I've lost zilch. Looking in the bright side, I've not put on those 2pb that I lost last week so thats good

Plan for this week is to up the exercise and to decrease the chocolate and wine!

Down 2lb - which is some kind of miracle. Had cucumber and carrot sticks as a snack yesterday instead of carbs - surprised it filled me up and was nice to eat.
Trying to watch the wine intake - enjoy it and not prepared to give it up - but trying to see it as calories too.

Well, I am down after my gain last week. 9st 5lb. So better, but it’s still only half a pound loss in 2 weeks!!!
I am spending far too much time thinking about what I’ve eaten, not eaten, how much exercise I’ve done and why the weight isn’t falling off 🤣.

Morning everyone, just done my weigh in and have lost 1lb this week, in addition to the 2lbs last week. I am THRILLED!

I've been doing the 5:2 diet, but accidentally wrong. I thought I could eat 800cal on the fasting days, which hasn't been too hard, but apparently it's supposed to be 500 Grin

So on my fast days I have:
• breakfast = crumpet with butter (120cal)
• lunch = tomato soup (200cal)
• dinner = whatever we usually have, but smaller portion.

Tbf our evening meal usually has lots of veg and a protein in it. Last night it was homemade chicken jalfrezi, so I just had the chicken and veg sauce and no rice.

I think 5:2 helps with the self sabotage as you can save the occasional treats for the non fast days.

So I've lost half a pound, which isn't fantastic but better than nothing. Have also lost a few cm on various body parts so thats encouraging!

Can I join you all? I lost nearly 2 stone earlier this year but have put a stone back on. Need a combination of MFP and running to sort it out. Feeling fat, sluggish and unmotivated. Today it changes!
Weighed in on Wednesday at 10st 5lb, so a stone to go... Confused

@TotoroPotoro I couldn't do 5:2. I just felt faint on fast days.
Now doing 16:8 which I find much easier- and I'm amazed how quickly I have adapted to no breakfast.

Thought I’d kick off this weeks weigh in. Finally I have a decent loss....down to 9st 1.75, so 3 and a quarter pounds.
Have had a very stressful week though and appetite has been shot, so am prepared for it to go up a bit possibly!!
Hope everyone else is doing ok

Well done, that's an amazing loss!
I put 2 lbs back on☹️. I just can't keep it going, I start off so well then by Sunday it's all downhill. I'll maybe weigh myself at the weekend this time to keep me motivated

I'm hoping it's hormonal water retention... and will be gone again by next week.
But this week has not been good. But today is another day.

2lbs back on for me, so I ate 2 jam doughnuts to make myself feel better.

Just not sure how to actually lose weight. Sounds daft, but I've never managed it before, and this attempt isn't going any better

I stayed the same here this week. We're not really winning at weight loss so far this week are we Xmas Wink

I've eaten quite a lot of toast this morning to celebrate.

I find a Friday weigh in works best for me as it gives a little more distance from my weekend transgressions. That said, I'm not going to magically have lost a pound by friday if I keep eating toast

Will try harder!

I’ve been away with work this week so it hasn’t been ideal. Eating healthy on the road in lockdown is tough. I’m down to 11 stone 3.5 so half a pound off this week. 3.5 to go.

I’m struggling with sugar cravings and period bloat too this week. I’ve just broken into the Christmas Turkish delight Blush.

On the plus side the gyms back open! No excuses for me now.... although the Turkish delight is definitely more calories than I just burned!
