Right here's the new thread. Thought I would find a kind title as October has been a challenging month for so many and at the risk of sounding pessimistic, November is likely to be to. I'm starting at 9st2.75, my aim for the end of November is to get into the 8s.

Haven't been on the scales today. I had a lie in then spent much of the day marking. Been good eating wise but very inactive. May brave the scales tomorrow.

Sorry things are tough octopus. Is ds happier now your dad is with your sister? My mood is up and down these days. Combo of November darkness and hard conditions at work and bugger all life outside of work.

I have also finished Outlander now which will leave another hole in my life lol

Octopus37 · 15/11/2020 07:56

DS is happier, just hard on my Sister and obviously cause of lockdown. Went out for a socially distanced walk with my bestie yesterday, weather wasn't great but just about manageable. Sorry you are struggling too HoneyBadger, things have got to get better at some point. 9st1.5 this morning

Hope the walk and meet up gave you a boost. I'm low enough energy today, if I could if stay indoors eating all day.. But youngest dc has requested a cycle/walk and onto a playground so I'll do the right thing and hopefully be in a better mindset on return. No run in as yet, just not feeling like it.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2020 13:25

Well I certainly feel better and 10k steps now in the bag! Going to go easy on the food side today tho, without binging of course. Having a nice fry up now and fajitas later. Enjoy a restful Sunday.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/11/2020 14:00

14:1 again.

Very inactive again but have got a year group's reports down ahead of the deadline. Going to do some vacuuming and call it exercise.

I miss the gym.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2020 16:58

Well done HB, good to get that done.

Nearly 30k extra steps fitted in this week compared to last week so I'm really pleased with that and my energy is up. Fry was shelved so I had my delicious roast veg meal again and fry up on the way shortly. Made some granola and granola bars with zero sugars bar fruit. I'll sign off for today and see you all tomorrow.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/11/2020 18:27

I'm cooking chicken with a katsu sauce and a mountain of veg. I'll have a little rice and ds will have a lot. This is mostly how I cater to our different calorie needs now-he has extra carbs.

Half arsed attempt at cleaning done. Laundry done and dinner on and I've had a nice bath and washed my hair to make tomorrow morning as easy as possible.

I've put low cal ice cream in my shop as I seem desperate for comfort food at the minute so I'm thinking it's best to have some damage limiting options available.

Hangoverstruggles · 15/11/2020 18:41

Hi all,

Just catching up. Well done everyone for keeping posting and sticking with it, whether that's with losses or not.

Sorry to hear some of you are having a tough time.

I've been off the rails, and if I'm honest with myself have let lots of old habits creep in. We had ds birthday this week so had takeaway and cake, but kept going back to the cake 🙄 plus loads of treats in the office (food retail, can't work from home)

My energy is low and motivation non existent!! SO! I need you guys!!! Help me get my shit together Grin

I've made a huge batch of filling muligatawny soup for lunches this week. Think I need to go back to diet mode of 1300 a day to get back on track.

I need to be disciplined to lose the lbs I've gained and then work harder at maintenance going forward. If I keep slipping now I know I'll fall into the 'well it's nearly Christmas' mindset.

I'm back on it 💪🏻

Hangoverstruggles · 15/11/2020 18:42

This is my MFP progress. It's the upward slope I need to bring back down before I undo all my hard work over the spring / summer.

It's sooo much harder in winter!

Hangoverstruggles · 15/11/2020 18:55

@TheHoneyBadger that dinner sounds delicious! Hear you re comfort food. Yet to find anything low cal that really hits the spot though.

Today I've had roast lamb, followed by sticky toffee pudding & custard 😬 plus Belgian waffles for breakfast....

IDontMindMarmite · 15/11/2020 19:15

Welcome back Hangover. I had your Mulligatawny soup recipe last week, it was good! Nice to have something new. And the Mango chutney yoghurt was epic.

I've been sewing darts in DH's shirts. I'm not great at it lol. There are a couple that are beyond my abilities. I also cycled for an hour today while watching a film. It was great.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2020 20:11

Brilliant Idontmindmarmite, the bike stand thing is a brilliant idea. I'm back in from the nightly walk/cycle so I'm logging on one more time Grin Hangoverstruggles I've done the same as you, I'm the same weight I was two months ago now because of October but hey we're still trying and that is good enough. Feeling positive. Had a brownie earlier and enjoyed. Just the one and no big deal. No interest in snacks now for the night. Hoping into bed with 15k steps on the fitbit and almost a 2k cal burn. Huge improvement in one reasonably decent week. Aiming for under 8st11 this week and keeping up the activity!

Octopus37 · 16/11/2020 06:26

Hangover, the sticky toffee pudding sounds yum HoneyBadger, sounds like you had a very productive weekend. Aiming to keep my steps up this week and do reasonably well with food, weighed 9st0.75 this morning.

I'm up a pound despite staying within my 1454 budget and burning 2100 Hmm I know that happens to people here sometimes but I've found once I'm doing thing right I lose so I'm a bit thrown by a whole bloody pound. Anyway, on I go.
B: sprinkle of granola, berries and Greek yoghurt
L: soup and fruit
D: chicken something

Hangoverstruggles · 16/11/2020 13:20

@HeyGirlHeyBoy keep going! It can't be a real lb of fat. You know your stuff so stick with it! It'll be gone in no time.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/11/2020 14:49

Thank you Hangoverstruggles appreciate that. How are you doing yourself?

TheHoneyBadger · 16/11/2020 16:47

Isn't it harder in winter hangover?!

I'm huddled on the sofa under a blanket trying to get warm after work.

Think it will be fish and rice and veg tonight. I'm very boring with meals as no fan of cooking. It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm not at work and going to the shops for some essential stuff with bubble friend. Exciting stuff! Not really sure what I do for a birthday in lockdown Confused

IDontMindMarmite · 16/11/2020 17:00

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Badger!

Winter is hard.

TheHoneyBadger · 16/11/2020 20:02

Thanks. I am watching The Crown and drinking Baileys. Modest dinner at least. I'm strangely addicted to cabbage at the minute and fill half my plate with it.

Monochrome4 · 16/11/2020 22:01

Evening all. Just checking in and saying hi. I'm behind on the thread so not much to say, but hoping everyone's ok.

61.7kg this morning, incredible considering the weekend. I'm doing better today. I've got loads of work from now until the end of term so if I lose weight between now and then, great, but if I maintain I'll also be happy. See you at the other end!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/11/2020 22:01

Oh cheers to you Honeybadger! Wine I hope you have a lovely day, very well deserved! Mine is coming next month!

What a year! 19k steps walked and 2200 cals burned apparently, have eaten over budget I'd say, was ravenous when got home. Will see what scales make of it in morning. Could eat again now post walk but I'll just go to bed instead soon.

hangoverstruggles · 16/11/2020 22:43

Not a bad day today for me @HeyGirlHeyBoy, Feeling focused! No idea how I did 1200 a day though

Today:
B overnight oats, blueberries, 3 coffees
L mulligatawny soup
D lamb tagine, cous cous, yogurt
S 3 schoko bons, Jaffa cake, hot chocolate
Ex 30 min strength work out

That was 1500.

Happy birthday for tomorrow @TheHoneyBadger 🥂

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/11/2020 22:55

Well done hangover, a lovely day of food you had! Took all I could to keep walking up the stairs but I'm up and safe now! Grin

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 17/11/2020 08:30

Forgot to weigh Confused DH was hogging the bathroom and I had downed a pint of water before I realised. Annoyed.
Happy Birthday again Honeybadger!
Goals today: 2.5L water, 10k steps and no junk. Part of that is glass of water before and after meals.
B:banana, berries and Greek yoghurt
L: granola bar, blueberries, mandarin and Greek yoghurt
D: roast chicken dinner

IDontMindMarmite · 17/11/2020 09:45

I don't know if it's because i'm working from home now and have less distractions, but my mood before my period is really suffering lately. Hate it.
