Hi, here's the new thread. Always love the new start that September brings with back to school and all the jazz. I'm unfortunately starting the month heavier, 9st2.5, bit cross with myself to be honest, know I have been comfort eating, its got to stop. Aim for this month is as ever yawn, 8st13.

Hello! It's Monday tomorrow and I'm hoping the food delivery will inspire me to eat better this week. I just haven't the energy to think about meals never mind cook them. Ds is eating better now which is good and dds have cooked for themselves for a couple of meals. They love that independence just not the clearing up. I've just eaten whatever I've fancied this last week which has mainly been biscuits and toast and cups of tea. I've not cared at all and haven't logged anything on mfp for most of the week. Ah well, I've hardly been stuffing my face so I refuse to feel guilty. Back to it tomorrow.
Well done on all the losses!

Any tips greatly appreciated. I am tempted to get to a 8. But DH thinks I look too thin as it is.

TheHoneyBadger · 14/09/2020 09:07

The plan is to fast today after stuffing myself over the weekend.

I’m in work from 10.30ish and have meeting after school so will get out at about 5. Then being picked up swimming at about 6.30. Hoping I can fast all the way through. Haven’t done an extended fast for ages.

Still no period. I usually take agnus castus daily because it helps me with pmt etc but I ran out a few weeks ago and didn’t replace it. Maybe why my cycle has gone haywire.

Hangoverstruggles · 14/09/2020 10:06

@W989 what is your height & weight? If you've gone from a size 14 to a 10 you must be very slim! Do you have a goal weight in mind?

I calories counted to lose. 1200 a day, then increased to 1400. I now loosely do 1400 most days but eat more a couple of days a week. Seem to be maintaining with that. I'm fairly active, do 3 HIIT work outs a week.

SistemaAddict · 14/09/2020 11:27

Back on it today but I am gnawingly hungry right now. I've only had one cup of tea so far though so maybe that's it?

Hangoverstruggles · 14/09/2020 11:47

@Bercows yes I think that's probably the reason you're hungry 😁

SistemaAddict · 14/09/2020 14:03

I'm still a little hungry Blush I have just over 100 calories left for today so that's shit. I accept that I'll be over tiday and do better tomorrow. I think my period is due again which won't be helping. Plus steroids. Not good.

W989 · 14/09/2020 14:20

@Hangoverstruggles I'm 5ft8. Not sure on weight as not got scales and I tend to use how clothes fit. My measurements are Bust 36, Waist 29 and Hips 34

Heygirlheyboy · 14/09/2020 14:36

Bercows how have you only 100cals left if all you had is tea? Take care of yourself.

Haven't counted today yet
B: berries and Greek yoghurt
L: lentil, roast veg and feta salad
S: kiwi
D: roast chicken, potatoes and veg
10k step walk tonight as per Monday.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 14/09/2020 14:41

Hi all. Don't know what's wrong with me, September has knocked me for 6. Done about 10km this month so far, usually target 5km a day. I'm just tired all the time but also lazy.

Went on a walk this morning... Ds starts preschool 3 mornings a week next month so I will have to spend that time running and doing aerobics I think!

SistemaAddict · 14/09/2020 14:58

I had muesli and yogurt with my tea then I had a sandwich, lentil chips and tea for lunch and might have blown it all with a much wanted danish Blush

IDontMindMarmite · 14/09/2020 15:09

@HoneysuckIejasmine Do you think you have covid fatigue? I definitely did last week!

B: Overnight oats
L: Lamb and Barley Soup
D: Chicken Gyros
S: Some nutella biscuit sandwich thing.

Heygirlheyboy · 14/09/2020 15:28

Bercows, unsolicited advice so feel free to ignore but if you only had a cup of tea at 11.30 but all but 100 cals gone by 2.30, would you be better spacing out your meals a bit? Or for me, I have to have a good breakfast or I could definitely overeat mid morning/lunch time. Just a thought. I thought my salad would never fill me today but two hours later I've no hunger, it can take a while to go down! Honeysuckle I'm a bit the same re physical exertion, I'm managing two good walks each week but not fitting anymore in just now.

SistemaAddict · 14/09/2020 15:46

I normally space out all my meals it's just today I've been so hungry. I do 16:8 and stick to 1250 a day so not much room for manoeuvre. With being unwell I've cut myself some slack. As long as I even out over the week it's ok. We can't go on any walks fir another week which sucks but the week after hopefully we will be back to normal routine again. The danish was something I've not been able to get since about February so was much wanted. It's a one off though.

As in "sick of this bloody pandemic" rather than actually sick? Yes, I imagine so. So bored of thinking what to feed everyone and trying to keep everyone happy. I'm done. Soooooo done. Just in time to need to start stock piling again because of our stupid government refusing to realise they can't have cake and eat it, FFS.

Your menu sounds delicious, I love chicken gyros.

IDontMindMarmite · 14/09/2020 17:11

Yup! I got really blue last week when there was news of the rule of 6, plus the weather was so grey. I'm considering buying a light box for me, i perk up so damn much in the sunshine, maybe it's related.

We don't have chips in the gyros which the Greeks did when we went there but hey, it's still great and I fill it with Tzatziki as well which I bloody love. So yum.

I was only up 1lb this morning after my big weekend. I think that's good, under the assumption that it isn't fat but water/more physical food in my body.

TheHoneyBadger · 14/09/2020 17:23

Just in from work shattered, headache and brewing a cold. Have bailed on swimming because I just need to rest and try and avoid the cold going to my chest.

Hoping with a good nights sleep and a quiet day tomorrow I’ll be good to swim tomorrow night.

Have fasted so far today. 7000 steps and over 1800 calories burned already thanks to work and tons of stairs. Going to take some headache pills and chill for an hour.

Heygirlheyboy · 14/09/2020 19:13

Oh definitely take it easy. I felt like that first week back, definitely be very kind to yourself.

Octopus37 · 15/09/2020 08:12

HoneyBadger hope you feel better soon. 9st1 this morning, had a reasonable day yesterday, despite a piece of toblerone and an ice cream mars bar

OP posts:
Heygirlheyboy · 15/09/2020 08:30

8st12.25 still here today.
B: 2 weetabix, Strawberries and kiwi
L: lentil and roast veg salad
D: spag bol
Exercise : 30min walk
Have a good day all.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/09/2020 09:19

Thanks. Total insomnia despite being knackered so ended up breaking my fast at 24hrs. Had a handful of granola and raisins in a lot of yoghurt and a portion of nuts so hardly terrible but the scales are still shitty with me.

Have a good day everyone

SistemaAddict · 15/09/2020 09:29

The hunger has abated thank goodness as I ate so much yesterday. Bloody steroids.

Everyone sounds like they are doing so well Smile

IDontMindMarmite · 15/09/2020 15:38

I had a Mars ice cream yesterday too, it was awesome.

I am hungry today and I don't really know why which is annoying. I'm probably not drinking enough water, that's really fallen off my agenda of late.

Badger - hate it when the scales give you attitude Grin. I have no idea how you managed to burn 1800 calories on no food, blows my mind!
