Hi, here's the new thread. Always love the new start that September brings with back to school and all the jazz. I'm unfortunately starting the month heavier, 9st2.5, bit cross with myself to be honest, know I have been comfort eating, its got to stop. Aim for this month is as ever yawn, 8st13.

Hi. Well, it's been a bit of a shit show here since DD started school. I feel so low energy I can't even be bothered to go for a walk. Mouth full of ulcers and joint pains (I have lupus) so that's not providing much motivation. Eating too much too. FFS.

B omelette
L salad
D not sure yet... Will flick through a recipe book later.

TheHoneyBadger · 10/09/2020 08:06

Dead on 13st13 this morning so finally seeing a new low.

My goal for August was to be securely under 14st but I decided to put it off because on top of preparing to go back to work and covid stress I didn’t have the energy to focus and put worth into scales.

Would be nice for 14 to be a thing of the past even when fluctuating. Next goal on Fitbit is 13st7.

My goal for September is stay sane and well and keep the scales going in the right direction.

Heygirlheyboy · 10/09/2020 08:19

Honeysuckle slowly slowly now things are changing..
Honeybadger that's fantastic. I will never see 10 again and that's for sure so I think it's good to say no way. Well done on new low! I'm 8st 12.5 today, target at mo 8st 12. Sleep bad and energy low ar moment.

Lalanbaba · 10/09/2020 09:38

Morning ladies,
I tried some jeans today and even not loose definitely aren't tight.
B: porridge made with oat milk. Tea
L: spicy chicken ramen with soy egg
D: pasta with something (there is few veggies and prosciutto in the fridge so probably that) salad.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 10/09/2020 09:55

Hiya again. Thanks heygirl. I don't know why it's affecting me... Well, I do. DD is quite highly strung and anxious so I've been worrying about her and how to try to tackle the anxiety and prevent her spiraling. But she was happy enough today, just a bit nervous but not unhappy, iyswim.

Still not sure what to have for dinner. Have half a jar of Bolognese sauce that needs using. Debating some sort of vegetable lasagne using butternut squash instead of pasta. Inspiration welcome!

IDontMindMarmite · 10/09/2020 12:38

Congratulations @TheHoneyBadger and @Heygirlheyboyeygirl - you're basically at target!

@Lalanbaba, how is porridge with oat milk? I'm used to skimmed.

@HoneysuckIejasmine Thinking of you. Ulcers suck big time. I feel demotivated too and I don't have a legitimate excuse. Just covid fatigue.

Looking ahead to the weekend. And next year. Maybe the year after...

Heygirlheyboy · 10/09/2020 12:58

Thanks a mill, mine is very much a moving target! I'm just doing pounds at a time at the moment. It'll change then once reached. End target of 8. 5st would be great and something I wondered if was possible last Jan at 10st 4 +

Lalanbaba · 10/09/2020 13:48

@IDontMindMarmite honestly I prefer porridge made with semiskimmed milk. Find it creamier. But I had some oat milk opened that needed use.

IDontMindMarmite · 10/09/2020 13:51

Your honesty is appreciated Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 10/09/2020 17:48

Stew with mash and parsnip mash to finish my day. Breakfast and lunch prepped for tomorrow and hopefully will manage say a 20min walk later, definitely much harder to find time and energy for activity when back to ft work but being honest I'm also not being too demanding of myself at the mó!

SistemaAddict · 10/09/2020 18:32

I don't like semi skimmed milk normally but I find porridge made with it keeps me fuller for longer than if I use my normal skimmed. I've tried rice and oat milk with porridge but don't like it. A quarter spoon of chia seeds makes it more filling too. And golden syrup more appetising!
I made puzza for dinner. I had no appetite until I started eating and now I want more pizza. Rice tea biscuits with cups of tea has been my main diet this week 🥴 I don't care. I've made bread today as toast is essential food in my opinion. Plus dd2 considers it a major mothering fail if there's no freshly baked bread for toasting 🙄

TheHoneyBadger · 10/09/2020 21:27

Had a small portion of fried rice I made for ds at about 5.

Swam 48 lengths tonight. Home and peckish. Going to have some nuts I think.

Work tomorrow. Going to try to make myself prepare stew in slow cooker in the morning so we don’t end up with Friday night takeaway. I may have Friday night beer though.

Heygirlheyboy · 10/09/2020 21:40

Well done Honeybadger, on all counts!

I am all prep'd for tomorrow, veg chopped for morning omelette with beans. Lentil, bulghar wheat and fresh tomatoes from a friend in a salad made for lunch. Granola bars made, no sugar just fruit in case I need a snack and I'm sure a nice Friday night type dinner of some sort. I feel more organised this week, second week back here, table laid for the morning, clothes laid out etc. Target awaits this weekend I hope! Happy almost Friday all!

IDontMindMarmite · 11/09/2020 07:20

Well I made it to Friday without slashing my tyres. I'm proud of myself as yesterday I just wanted to eat my feelings and I knew it wouldn't help but would in fact make me feel worse.

IDontMindMarmite · 11/09/2020 07:21

And it fucking paid off, I'm back to my lowest low! Yes.

Octopus37 · 11/09/2020 07:40

Well done I dont mind Marmite. HoneyBadger I'm seriously impressed with your exercise and weight loss. 9st1 this morning, not great at the moment tbh, v worried about my Dad and his situation, Oldham still in lockdown so he cannot get away to visit anyone. Therefore I'm not managing to eat well, just living on junk basically but so be it. Trying to keep everything else going, v tired. Sorry for winge, I might actually be in a positive frame of mind by the end of 2020. Happy Friday everyone, on reason to be cheerful.

TGIF

TheHoneyBadger · 11/09/2020 08:07

Thanks.

Octopus you’ve had a tough time recently. Be gentle with yourself.

Weight completely steady. Ended up eating cheese and ham wrap, nuts and 2 snickers ice creams so don’t be too impressed with me. Quite the late night pig out.

Ds will not be impressed that I’ve finished the ice cream bars!

Heygirlheyboy · 11/09/2020 08:20

Massive well done Idontmindmarmite, seriously impressive and I think that mindset change is massive, the junk doesn't help and actually makes it worse.

Octopus you are carrying a lot for your family, look after yourself, its hard to be the one always doing the looking after. I hope you get a belated anniversary celebration this weekend.

I have stayed the same today but dare I say I'm feeling very slim!

Lalanbaba · 11/09/2020 15:17

I have only ever had marmite in cheese toasties, I have a jar at home but not use at the moment. Low cal ideas?
Weight a bit up this morning but I'm getting my period any moment so make sense.
B: sourdough toast and tea
L :chicken soup with carrots and peas. Soy egg. Jelly.
D: homemade pizza

HoneysuckIejasmine · 11/09/2020 15:31

Hi all

B bacon and eggs
L vegetable lasagna and salad
D beef fajitas
S rocky road

Still flaring feeling awful, trying hard not to eat feelings. Annoyingly when I flare I can't always do my distraction activities (yesterday I couldn't move my arms) so I just went to bed to avoid eating. Sad

Heygirlheyboy · 11/09/2020 15:42

Hope it passes Honeysuckle sounds miserable. Lalanbaba do you mean low cal marmite suggestions?!

Lalanbaba · 11/09/2020 16:11

No, like what to do with marmite that are not too high in calories.

Heygirlheyboy · 11/09/2020 16:30

Yes that's what I meant!

TheHoneyBadger · 11/09/2020 16:54

What it can be useful for is if you’re feeling hungry but want to stave it off you can have like half a teaspoon in a cup of boiling water. Used to do this sometimes when I first started fasting years ago. Somehow satisfied me.

No recipe ideas. I’m another who likes it in a toastie or on a crumpet with a small slice of halloumi on top.

Busy day, fasted. Resisted getting Friday night beer but have ordered pizza for ds and I. Will try not to eat too much but it’s Friday and we could do with a treat.
