Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

Yes keira, I am 5ft2 and a v small frame so extra weight changes me completely. At 10st 4ish at start of year I weighed more than I did at 8.5m pregnant. I weigh now around what I weighed a week pp!! Which is hard to believe. And I certainly wasn't watching my food or weight during pregnancy.

TheHoneyBadger · 04/08/2020 12:48

Oh you are diddy heygirl. Yes, I find in the latter 2 weeks that I can be less active (and I am more tired especially in the last week) and still lose/maintain despite it presumably because of that extra 200cals.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 04/08/2020 13:45

Your food sounds lovely @keiratwiceknightly do you make the pate?
Yes, there are a fair few petite women on this thread - I'm not one of them!! I've always been pretty sturdy and tall and am 182lbs (I keep it in lbs as it stops there being a dispiriting number of stones) I've lost a stone though, but there's another one to go.
Just had a lovely salad of shaved veg, with a soy, lime & sesame dressing. Reckon it would be 0 points if you were on weight watchers

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/08/2020 15:56

Checking in today. I've made myself a more calorific lunch this week and I think it's stopping my 3-4pm munchies which is good.

B: Yoghurt
L: chicken stew
D: Lasagne, attempting a low cal white sauce...
S: raspberry brownie

Hangoverstruggles · 04/08/2020 16:03

Just checking in. Very rare night without the kids tonight and we are going out to a posh restaurant! Will have the full 3 courses no doubt and wine.

I'm kind of thinking while I'm on 2 weeks leave from work with lots of nice days out planned to just eat what I want.... Kind of treat it like I'm on holiday and get back on it when I'm back at work.

I don't want to undo my good work but equally holiday time is rare!

What would you do? Luckily I'm not a massive drinker so giving myself a green light for 2 weeks wouldn't be completely off the rails...

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/08/2020 16:05

Perfect excuse for a diet break I reckon.

Heygirlheyboy · 04/08/2020 16:23

Sounds really lovely. Unfortunately I am going to have to work hard on 'non tracking' not being binging.. But definitely enjoy every bit of your hols. JS would agree.

Monster Jamie Oliver uses creme fraiche in his lasagna... With cheese of course. Works fine.
B: berries, Greek yoghurt and quinoa crunch
L: scrambled eggs with fried mushrooms, bulgar wheat, kidney beans and chickpea and feta salad
D: roast chicken with roast potatoes (1 cup) and loads of roast veg
S: half a banana and might have something else later

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/08/2020 16:24

Chicken sandwich for lunch using leftovers from the roast last night.
Then we (the dds and i) met my sister at the local cafe for drinks and cake. I was virtuous...mostly because I didn't like the look of the cake and cake has to be worth eating to spoil my diet. So I just had a latte. Amazing bargain as the place is also offering 25% off on top of the 50% deal so a latte, a can of pop and a milkshake only came to £1.82!!!
Well spaced and organised and clean so felt a safe way to get out and about for an hour.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/08/2020 16:27

I've also found an exercise routine that didnt make me die I liked on prime video so started the day with 25 mins of cardio today. I'll do the whole 40 mins tomorrow as I've done no exercise for ages (bad hip and weak leg that side after an op a few years ago is my weakness) and I want to build up my fitness level so I can go back to dance fit classes and not make a disgrace of myself.

keiratwiceknightly · 04/08/2020 16:29

@igglepiggle Yes I make the pate but it's super easy - break mackerel up into flakes, add juice of half a lemon and two tablespoons of plain yogurt or one of yoghurt and one of low fat philly, salt and pepper, and mix well.

All the recipes are Louise Parker method. (Low ish carb, high veg count).

keiratwiceknightly · 04/08/2020 16:30

I'm 5ft 8 so some of you are very teeny compared to me galumphing about. If I can get under 10.5 stone I'd be pretty thin - aiming for 10.10.

Hangoverstruggles · 04/08/2020 16:46

@keiratwiceknightly I'm also 5'8. Gone from 11st 2 to somewhere around 10st. Seem to fluctuate between 9st12 and 10st2 at the moment - first thing in the morning weight obvs! BMI is 21.4 at the moment.

I'm aiming to maintain that weight ish and not massively motivated with diet at the moment. I'm finding it easy to eat way more than planned! Trying to keep with the exercising to help find a maintenance level that works for me.

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 04/08/2020 16:51

@MonsteraCheeseplant I’m going to try having my bigger meal at lunchtime too for similar reasons

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/08/2020 16:57

@keiratwiceknightly I'm 5"9' and started at 11.7. Now trying to maintain around 9.11-10.2. Haven't weighed myself since another big weekend though Confused

@IJumpedAboardAPirateShip hope it works for you. Also lots of water.

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 04/08/2020 18:15

Definately need to drink more water!!!

I’m 5’9” too but small framed so I think my happy place is around 9st 6-8lbs

alwaysinpjs · 04/08/2020 18:17

I'm 5ft 4 and my BMI has just hit 22.8 at 9st 6. I'd love it to be 22.5 so I can say I'm in the middle of the healthy range!
Your food diaries on here are inspiring. I still eat a lot of rubbish but within my calories each day!
Completed day 2 of 30 day shred today and walked 4 miles. I deserve to be a size 6 by September Grin

Farcry66 · 04/08/2020 18:23

So I did my first class at the gym yesterday and the 60 squats I did have killed me today! Which would be fine but I have another training session tomorrow!!!!

I took my youngest out for lunch today to a hungry horse, I had a salmon salad, it was very nice! On my came in t about 400 cals. I am doing 16:8 Which is working really well but the nutritionist at the gym is very keen on making sure people eat at least 1600 cals on this plan, my dinner last night was bang on 1000 cals and I couldn't eat anything else, I was stuffed. So now I'm in the interesting position of trying to work out what to have for dinner tonight that will be around 1200 cals, which sounds amazing but I'm still full from lunch! 16:8 has been amazing as I would normally just graze all day inbetween my 3 proper meals - I've been doing it for 17 days now and I only really get hungry a half hour before my eating window.

I might take a walk down the shop (to try an ease my aching thighs) and get something for dinner!

Heygirlheyboy · 04/08/2020 19:32

Logged for the day 240 under @2204. Will stick with it and will for for a higher count tomorrow. Enjoy your evening all and well done especially those with v impressive sounding exercise regimes!! I have 13k steps done but walk buddy was v slow so don't feel I've burned much.

Thanks for the recipe @keiratwiceknightly, I might try that
B. Porridge berries almonds coffee
L. Cheese on toast with tamarind salsa & Asian salad
D. Soy ginger chicken, 3/4 cup of rice and lots of peas
S. Watermelon mint ginger & honey smoothie (had to guess the calories of it)
All very yummy today
Total at about 1450
12000 steps

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/08/2020 21:04

I've never been below 11st, but was really really happy with my shape and size at that weight, so that's what I'm aiming for even though it's towards the top of my healthy range. Also, as that's 3 stone away, it seems like an impossible goal as it is at the moment.

DH has lost 6 stone during lockdown and gone from 22 stone. He needed to lose it and has been bloody dedicated, on the 800 cals a day diet for the last 15 weeks. I can't hope to be that dedicated. And I'd fail if I deprived myself too much. So I'm sticking to the 1400 that nutracheck allow and if I go a tiny bit over I'm not being too hard on myself.

It'll be easier when I go back to work in Sept as I really don't mind just eating the same lunch daily there and usually have a simple salad or soup. But at home it's harder and there's more temptation. It was home baking that led to the 10lb plus lockdown gain so I'm not doing any of that at the moment.

I'm happy with myself when I get through a day and have not had a sweet treat. Instead I'll have my 'breakfast' for supper if I'm really hungry after my dinner and then not eat til lunchtime the next day.

Saraban · 04/08/2020 22:58

Have been feeling great today - I think as this goes on (I’m 2 weeks in at this point) I’m naturally less hungry anyway. I guess I’m getting used to slightly smaller portions, and also eating a lot more ‘whole’ foods rather than processed things, which seem to fill me up more, even though they’re less calorific. My sweet tooth also seems to have disappeared, too. It could also just be the weather - I never want to eat as much when it’s hot.

Wanted to give a shout out to my dinner tonight: it was a WW recipe, did baked miso glazed salmon with braised leeks and courgettes and some rice on the side. It was so so good! Maybe one of my favourite meals ever. Felt very virtuous, as well as being delicious. Will definitely be on regular rotation (or at least when salmon is on offer.) I’m still not completely sure what braising actually is, but it’s a revelation haha!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 04/08/2020 23:28

Have reported the spammer Hmm

I'm 5'6". My low weight was 12,4 and I was an easy size 10 so it's safe to say that I have a big, heavy frame. My BMI25 weight is 11,2 but I'm not sure that'll happen. I'm 14,2 at the moment down from 19,5 when DD was born, which I got down to 18,0 when I started the big push after DS was born.

I'm gutted that this time last year I was 12,4. Really annoyed with myself. However, I was very ill so it's not a shock, just frustrating. Also shows how easy it is to gain it back if you don't keep things in check. I wasn't exactly binge eating, I was just eating big portions of the same food and the daily occasional treat.

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 05/08/2020 02:51

So tired after a bout of insomnia last night, was doing well food wise until I smacked on tofu while prepping it for dinner

B: cashew yoghurt and banana
L: cucumber, tomato , sugar snap pea, olive and hummus salad and a couple of dolmas
D: lanka curry rice soup with crispy baked tofu except I ate too much and now my tummy hurts

Have to go on a run with DS 🤢

Octopus37 · 05/08/2020 08:14

Heygirl, I like that you can indeed have your cake and eat it. Mars Bar cheesecake sounds amazing. Welcome to all the newbies on here, lovely to see so many people. I was away at my Sister's for a few days (back last night), so lots of eating and some drinking. Wierdly not showing on the scales this morning, but have a feeling it will haunt me in a couple of days, weighed 9st0.5 this morning. Have just eaten a Muller Corner and an oat flip biscuit for breakfast, attempt at getting back on track.
