Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

I really think that once the children are back at school it will be easier. At the moment preparing three meals a day is doing my head in. I need to have some time to exercise and I don't want to constantly be in the kitchen etc. I just need some time to myself.

dalecooper · 30/08/2020 16:24

Also - I dream about a 28" pair of jeans! Well done.

Heygirlheyboy · 30/08/2020 17:22

I'm back myself too Dale so no extra time but I plan to bring runners and leggings in car in the hope of even fitting in a 30min walk before heading home.

Heygirlheyboy · 30/08/2020 19:14

I've logged my day at 1134 which is 300 off but I am really full. Had loads of broccoli salad with the tagine. I have a fear of eating too little lol but my menu was all very filling. I am heading into a new role in school tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it. Best of luck with the week ahead all and thanks for this thread all summer, so glad I got back on the horse.

SistemaAddict · 30/08/2020 20:57

I echo that @dalecooper. I should be back from the morning school hike by 9.15 due to him starting earlier now with the staggered starts. Then I'll have to leave to collect him at 2.15, earlier if I go through the woods. So that's 5 blissful hours to myself. I've barely had 5 minutes to myself since March unless I've been asleep. I'm looking forward to the school run ensuring I meet my minimum steps, bike rides, a clean and tidy house, and lunch in peace watching my choice of tv. I can't remember the number of steps I used to do on weekdays but I walked around 5-6 miles those days. I'm hoping a few pounds will fall off over the next couple of weeks.

9st1 this morning. Have eaten loads the last few days admittedly cause of period, feeling weak etc. Cannot believe its September, always love the new start feeling at this time of year.

I am freelance and work from home Heygirlheyboy so the only difference is that I will now actually get some time to do some flipping work. It has been hard being Mum, cleaner, cook, entertainer, disciplinarian and freelance worker expected to complete tasks efficiently. I often find myself more motivated in Autumn too. In Summer I just want to drink white wine and eat crisps and in winter I am happy to drink copious cups of tea and soup and any other hot drink and that fills me up so I can stick to meals and not snack so much.

Anyone else feel a sort of deranged hysteria at the pure delight of their children going back to school?? I am sure I should be thinking about the perils more but I can only focus on the positives.

Hello everyone,
I missed posting yesterday, eat brunch that became lunch at a local coffee shop but overall just got a few calories over.
B: tea and 2 toast with butter
L: eggs benedict, tea
D: pasta with olive oil and parmesan. White wine

Today I have made little chocolate pots for dessert and baked homemade granola. Will do burgers later
B: Greek yogurt, cherries and granola. Tea
L: burgers and salad. (a couple of chips maybe)
D: chicken salad.

TheHoneyBadger · 31/08/2020 14:47

Just checking in. Avoiding scales as planned and not fasting because stress about returning to work has inclined me to wanting to pour a drink earlier in the day than fasting would allow.

Back to work tomorrow so as long as I avoid whatever socially distanced inset feeding is on offer I should get a decent fast in by sticking to black coffee and water.

Checking in because I don’t want taking a break to turn into totally going off the rails. Just need a few days off.

Heygirlheyboy · 31/08/2020 15:27

Attaching some JS wisdom for anyone who might need it! All well here, lunch out so hard to log it but it was basically chicken in taco sauce with veg Inc dressing. Who knows. It was healthy anyway which is main thing.

Doing well so far today. I've walked 3.5 miles so I'm nearly up to my step target. 62 something this morning. I'll be interested to see what next Monday brings on the scales. Fingers crossed no exercise induced hunger!

SistemaAddict · 31/08/2020 20:32

1189 calories today so I'm under target. It's a good start to the week with back to not eating after dinner and plenty of exercise. No crisps, chocolate, biscuits, cake, ice cream, sweets etc. I've hit all my activity targets too.
I'm tired today and have random bleeding. Got to love perimenopause!

Heygirlheyboy · 31/08/2020 21:08

Well done bercows!

SistemaAddict · 31/08/2020 22:02

Thank you Smile I'm back to feeling hungry and having a gurgling stomach which is good. I keep remembering the hit criss bun incident and how it upset my stomach and my sleep despite tasting oh so good and I carry on ignoring the gurgling.
Im debating what to cook for dinner tomorrow. Last dinner before school starts back so maybe homemade pizza and chips. It's our favourite and I now only eat 2 slices of pizza whereas I could eat a whole one quite happily a few month ago.
I've been on my healthier eating and being more active kick for 10 weeks now. It doesn't seem that long really and I'm amazed I've kept at it. Sure I've had the odd day where I've eaten more then I should but I don't think I've ever gone over 2000 calories (maybe once?) and most of the time I'm sticking to around 1250. It feels great that my clothes fit better and my belly is no longer bloated like it was. I have cheekbones and knee dips and can easily feel my hip bones without their comfort blanket of lard. MFP, my Fitbit, scales and personal accountability via mumsnet has been very motivating.

SistemaAddict · 31/08/2020 22:06

Yep 2250 on the 28th July but my average for the week was less than 1200 so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Heygirlheyboy · 01/09/2020 08:33

I forgot to weigh till after my shower this morning so with a head of wet hair I was 9st 1.75...what do you reckon for the wet head?! Have a good day all. Going to try knock off a few cals today, aim for around 1300.

Lalanbaba · 01/09/2020 08:54

Morning,
Will be moving to a new post for September? (gosh Xmas is around the corner, usually start baking in October)
So 66.7 this morning on the scales but will say 67 coz I didn't even have a glass of water then after the night.
B: Greek yogurt, granola and berries. Tea
L: Korean chicken and coleslaw (no mayo but vinegar based dressing)
D: rice, veggies and crispy tofu (first time trying this)

SistemaAddict · 01/09/2020 09:12

Let me know how you do the tofu. I buy the naked tofoo as it's not as wet and is really firm. I marinate it in whatever then coat in cornflour and shallow fry separately before adding it to the rest of the dish for the last few minutes. I love tofu. Some people bake it in the oven but I prefer it fried.

9st 9lb this morning. It's occurred to me that I'm keeping off the weight now and therefore it's proper weight I've lost. School hiking starts tomorrow. It's going to be a killer especially so early but getting 2.5 miles in before 9.30 is going to be a great mental boost.

Lalanbaba · 01/09/2020 09:54

@Bercows exactly that way, marinated and rolled in cornflour and fried. Hope tastes OK, will be sharing with the toddler and the meatlover boyfriend.

SistemaAddict · 01/09/2020 09:57

I marinate in chilli purée, ginger, soy sauce, lemon juice and maple syrup. The longer you marinate the better as the flavours really absorb.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 01/09/2020 10:09

Hiya. Ate all the food yesterday, felt a bit sick. But also it was a lot less than I'd usually eat daily!
