Good luck all those doing a Monday weigh in today!

I'm heading home after a week's holiday and thanks to this & other similar threads will be braving the scales/tape measure & logging the findings.

Have remembered I'm more than my size. I'm still a great mum, friend, employee etc but fantasising about returning here for next years holiday in all my size 10-12 clothes. Smile

recklessgran · 10/08/2020 08:02

Morning all. Just popping on quickly before I start work. Today is my weigh day.
Last week 11st 11.75lbs
Today 11st 11.25lbs
Half a pound off for me this week then. Oh well. given the current state of things here I think I'm happy with that. I'm still keeping off the naughty step but I think I'm retaining some water in this heat. [My ankles are a bit swollen too.] Sorry for irregular posts - I am still reading and keeping up with you all - hoping to be back to normal in the next couple of weeks!

GetTheStartyParted · 10/08/2020 08:08

Morning - weigh in day here.

I've lost 1lb this week so I'm now 11st6 and 1lb off a 4st loss total (which is a miracle as I was 2lb up on friday).

I have been sticking to keto aside from last Sunday, when I had a day off for my birthday. The slower loss is hard to take but then I have to remind myself that I'm never hungry and get to eat delicious food everyday!

So excited this morning, I'm going swimming! It's their first day of being open, I've waited so long for this.

Happy Monday everyone - hope you all feel motivated for the week ahead.

NerrSnerr · 10/08/2020 08:18

Hi all and welcome to the newbies. What I like about these threads is that there is no evangelical 'you must do Keto as it's the only thing that works' etc. Everyone does their own thing and supports each other in that.

I am another lb down this morning so at 12 stone exactly! I'm visiting a friend's gardens tonight but due to not car sharing due to Covid I won't be drinking. Going to take some strawberries as my 'offering' so I have something healthy to nibble on.

I'm hoping to be finally in the 11s this week and that'll be 7lbs gone since this effort to lose weight- it's only taken almost 3 months 😂😂 At least it's going in the right direction, it's a marathon and not a sprint etc etc

Ginflinger · 10/08/2020 08:19

Morning: SW 90.2 kg. Have good weeks, all.

GetTheStartyParted · 10/08/2020 08:41

@MotherOfDragonite Its nice to see your name pop up, hope you're doing ok?

@recklessgran Really hope you are ok. Half a pound is good. The heat has made a big difference, you're right.

@NerrSnerr not car sharing definitely helps to not drink! Good luck getting into the 11s. I also like how everyone follows what suits them and just supports others.

Bella444 · 10/08/2020 08:42

Just weighed in and "only" put on 3lbs over the 2 weeks of fully enjoying myself! So back in the 12's but that's ok Smile.

Let the dieting commence! I'm also back on to my lunch box Instagram account for extra accountability. If anyone wants to follow its @myhubbieslunchbox. I love seeing food pics Grin if anyone else has a food/IG account??

Have a great day everyone!

Bella444 · 10/08/2020 08:43

@NerrSnerr can definitely agree with the marathon comment!

GetTheStartyParted · 10/08/2020 08:50

@Bella444 I will follow you Smile

I have a page, its my diet page, mainly food photos, some progress photos and things too.

Mine is kp.keto

Bella444 · 10/08/2020 09:03

@GetTheStartyParted great! Will follow back.

MotherOfDragonite · 10/08/2020 12:00

Thank you for the hello @JessJonesJumps and @GetTheStartyParted! It's nice to be back here.

I am back to my usual breakfast of half a bagel, lighter Lurpak and a boiled egg, and my usual veg soup for lunch. Dinner is a little trickier with my mum and the two kids to keep happy, but I am trying to do the cooking so I can keep track of things and then doing strict portion control on my plate especially with carbs, and letting the kids add things like grated cheese individually.

I made a gorgeous black bean puree last night! "Fried" onions and garlic in Frylight until tender, added black beans, lime zest and some fresh chopped tomatoes and simmered for a while, then blitzed in the blender and added lime juice. Really good with a sweet potato!

MotherOfDragonite · 10/08/2020 12:04

Very well done @recklessgran! So nice to see a familiar name and how well you are doing :-)

Vavavoovoom · 10/08/2020 23:17

I love black beans! They are so versatile.

I have eaten pretty healthy this week, not obsessive but anything is an improvement on my toasted panini and large fruit cooler regular lunch and tub of icecream. Lost a pound last check so pretty pleased. Also discovered Fry Light spray. Made focaccia croutons out of ciabatta, dried rosemary and seasalt with a few sprays toasted. Winner!

Had a salad and veal in ciabatta with homemade sweet potato wedges (fry light, smoked paprika and squeeze of lime) for dinner. Probably over calories but I am sweating for England.

caringcarer · 10/08/2020 23:22

SW 125kg
only been on diet for a week and cutting out mostly carbs.
CW 123.5kg
I am hoping to lose 1kg each week.

Tanaqui · 11/08/2020 05:51

Morning! Not too bad a day yesterday, from today am trying to get back to the 16:8- did 3 weeks earlier in the summer and it went well, but I didn't have to go to work so I got up late and the morning wasn't so long! I'll do a dirty fast though, at least until I get into the swing of it!

Shedtheload · 11/08/2020 06:56

Have had a small change in the scale. I had been stuck at 77.7 kg for ages and then last week it crept up to 78. I was so frustrated as I was sticking to my diet, exercising etc. On Saturday night I had a bit of a blowout, eating flapjacks, crisps and some ice cream. It totalled 3000 cals for the day and weirdly I felt fine about eating that much rather than feeling guilty. The next day I got back on track with healthy eating and today the scale says 77.5 which is the first loss for a really long time (and got another 0.2% reduction in body fat). Hmmm, maybe the answer lies in cheat days (although I will keep them few and far between).

I am now just over 2 lbs from being in the 11s which was my goal for this month. I will be so happy when I reach that.

WhatALearningCurve · 11/08/2020 07:37

Morning all.

Had my first maintain this week at 10 st 2.5, not the happiest but I also know where I went wrong so I should be able to make a difference this week.

Also most months around this time I'd be due on - but after my cycle went haywire last month I've no idea when I'm due so that might also be having an effect

Onwards and downwards!

Vik1ng · 11/08/2020 08:06

I’m a bit late to the party but can I join you all? Weight loss has been static since Covid came to town. I need to get motivated again.
Starting weight 3 Jan - 11 St 10
Current - 11 St 4.5
Target - 10 Stone
BMI is just above the healthy range but I’m doing no exercise and feel v unfit. Hoping to rejoin the gym when schools reopen.

BlueCookieMonster · 11/08/2020 10:53

Hi can I join, I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been at 11stone 6. Hoping to get below 11 stone in the next month.

Going to be doing SW, I’ve contacted my local person. But I’ll be honest, I can’t be arsed going to group! Much rather just do it myself (plus you know corona puts me off as well).

NerrSnerr · 11/08/2020 12:33

Hi all. Hope you're all well and it's not too hot where you are. I'm having one of those days where I don't fancy any food but trying to make better choices. Getting back into the 11s is staggeringly close and I'm desperate to get there. I'm working from home today with the company of my 5 year old. Luckily the 3 year old is in nursery as I'd never get anything done with him rampaging around!!

elizabethschyler · 11/08/2020 19:01

I ventured to the scales after my holiday - I have lost 2lbs
I am back on the IF LC bandwagon today and planning to exercise every day and get up

GetTheStartyParted · 11/08/2020 19:50

Evening all Smile I am lying in bed trying to sleep, its not working. 2 more shifts and then I am off for over 2 weeks!

DS is hoping to be flying home tomorrow, I can't believe I will be off work to spend proper time with him. I'm so happy.

I've lost almost 4 stone since he was last home (1lb away). Can't wait for a hug from him, now he will be able to wrap him arms round me Grin

I swam 47 lengths yesterday - slowed by trying to distance from other swimmers. But my aching muscles today make me think that this probably wasn't a bad thing. It was so good to be back.

I am swimming again tomorrow and then probably eating out to celebrate the return of DS. Seven months without my boy has been too long - when he joined the army we knew it was part and parcel but it was tough missing his 18th birthday and we weren't ready for the travel restrictions and so on.

I hope you're all coping in the heat and things are going well for you.

cricketmum84 · 12/08/2020 05:55

Morning! I've been awake since the early hours with this sodding heat. Could do with a good storm but it's just passed us by.

Had an absolute manic couple of days with work as I'm covering another manager so running two teams plus trying to do my own job. Thankfully it's only for a couple of weeks though.

Welcome to new joiners :) you are more than welcome to join us!

I love that you are getting your DS home @GetTheStartyParted! I bet you are so excited!

OMAD today as the scales still aren't my friend. I'll be making a quorn Bolognese later and will have with spiraliased butternut squash instead of the pasta that the rest of the family will be having. Running low on fruit and veg but I've got my lovely delivery coming tomorrow!

Have a great day all. Hope we get some slightly cooler weather!

Morning all. Finally my scales say 11st13!! It has taken almost 3 months to get that first half a stone gone but I'm glad I have done it. Just been for a swim which was lovely so in a good mood today. Need to eat really well so I can stay in the 11s!

GetTheStartyParted · 12/08/2020 09:41

Morning!
Thanks @cricketmum84 Hope you're not too tired - restless night here too. We had a storm, it hasn't done much to clear the air though, its still very muggy.

Yay, well done @NerrSnerr Star

Right, I'm dragging my aching body to swim - have a great day Grin
