First day back on my healthy eating yesterday. A rubbish day at work which saw me have a vodka and slimline but everything else was good, so I’ve forgiven myself.

Breakfast - fruit salad and low fat Greek yogurt
Lunch - home made broccoli and Stilton soup, pasta in it and 1 piece of wholemeal bread
Tea - home made chilli and potato wedges
Snacks - vodka and slimline and a 20 calorie I’ve pop

WhatALearningCurve · 04/08/2020 07:52

Weight had dropped to 10 stone 2.5 so a 1.25 loss for this week

cricketmum84 · 04/08/2020 08:50

Morning all! Another busy work day here but I've planned ahead so should make better choices!

B - a banana
L - wholemeal wrap with quorn ham and salad
D - Linda McCartney shredded duck with lettuce wraps, cucumber and spring onion

Allowed myself some calorie room for a small pack of low fat crisps and another piece of fruit or a low cal cup a soup.

Thanks for all the kind comments Flowers
@cricketmum84 I'm always impressed by your meal planning. I so rarely do it.
Weight is down again this morning meaning I've lost 2.4lbs this month which is more than I managed all of July Hmm I think I need to try to lose as much as possible before TOTM and toffee and chocolate and cake upsets it all again.

elizabethschyler · 04/08/2020 09:41

Hello
I would like to join, even if I don't make much progress. I am on holiday and hate how I feel.
Have to quarantine when home
So will be using that like a two week post holiday boost. Planning my online shop.
I had been doing a bit of IF earlier during lockdown and lost about half a stone but then put it all back on.
I don't have scales here but reckon I am
He 12st 13
cw 12st11
TW 10st11

GetTheStartyParted · 04/08/2020 11:22

Morning,

Thanks for the birthday wishes Smile I still haven't weighed myself, will wait until the end of the week or beginning of next week.

Todays plan is no breakfast.
Eating lunch out at a lovely, local restaurant. Their lunch menu was reduced to mainly sandwiches, wraps and the like so I emailed and they have said they will make me a salad. DS is very excited, its his favourite place to eat.
Dinner will be spicy chicken drumsticks with tenderstem broccoli.

I did another workout yesterday, I am a little achy today so think I'm pushing myself about the right amount. Still waiting for my local pool to reopen!

bellajay · 04/08/2020 19:45

@JessJonesJumps your board for each month is such a good idea to remember and focus on your goals! Super inspiring and I may just steal the idea!

@cricketmum84 how is the Linda McCartney duck? I’ve seen it in the supermarket a few times but never tried it!

cricketmum84 · 04/08/2020 21:56

@bellajay it was really lovely, I've had it a couple of times before but it was 11 year olds first try and she loved it. Even my 15 year old who isn't veggie was eyeing up what was left on my plate and finished it off for me! But then she is a bit of a human dustbin.

Cook it in a frying pan to get some crispy edges and then serve in wraps with plenty of shredded cucumber and spring onion.

@cricketmum84 sounds amazing! I’ll definitely add that to the shopping list.

cricketmum84 · 05/08/2020 15:04

We are all very quiet today! Hopefully not all on the naughty step together....

I'm just taking a quick work break after an early start and a busy morning. Had planned a banana and some yoghurt for breakfast but didn't have time, had a small portion of the LM duck and some rice for lunch. Quite tea planned of more LM this time the chicken bucket with a big portion of red cabbage coleslaw made with fat free yoghurt, lemon juice and mustard. Yum!

Hope all are ok??

recklessgran · 05/08/2020 15:22

Ha! @Cricketmum84, still here, but not hogging the naughty step for a change! I am also taking a quick work break and thought I'd pop over to see what's going on with everyone.
My weight is up and down over the same couple of pounds but at least I'm staying in the 11's. Serious application required here but I'm letting myself off the hook until after my fateful meeting with the titslammer tomorrow afternoon.
Welcome to @elizabethschyler and a very belated Happy Birthday to you @GetTheStartyParted - sounds like you had a lovely time.
I'm making an effort to try to drink more water to see if that helps to kickstart my weight loss again. Sausages and lots of roast veg for me for dinner tonight. KOKO everyone!

GetTheStartyParted · 05/08/2020 15:25

That sounds lovely @Cricketmum84
I havent tried your recipe but homemade coleslaw is so much tastier than store bought, enjoy!

I have just done my second workout of the week. The plan I'm following sets 3 a week so I aim to do Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I am very achy so I guess that means its doing something.

I have had egg mayo, celery and nuts for lunch. Dinner will be cheese burger (bunless) with salad and spicy mayo.

WhatALearningCurve · 05/08/2020 15:30

Afternoon! Just had to take my one year old for a covid test so that was fun! (He's teething but nursery have to isolate anyone with a temp and get a negative result which is understandable).

It was right next to a retail park with a mcds as well. If I can resist mcds after that ordeal I am definitely a better person than I was 5 months ago!

Shedtheload · 05/08/2020 15:53

LM duck sounds lovely. I also love the LM Lincolnshire sausages- so yummy.
Might try weighing tomorrow as the bloating seems to have gone down a bit. I have also bought a new fitbit (well 2nd hand off eBay!) with a heart rate monitor. My resting heart rate is pretty good according to that. I used to have quite a stressful job a few years ago and remember going to the doctor and my HR was in the 90s (which is normal but not great). Now it’s 62 although that could also be due to the fact that I get nervous when I go to the doctors.

Have also been doing a bit of weight training every couple of days. Too early to see results yet but hopefully they will come in the way of a reduction in body fat percentage. Will be so happy if I can get it below 30.

Shedtheload · 05/08/2020 15:54

WhataLearningCurve especially with all the discounts going on at the moment on fast food too! I’m trying to stay away.

bellajay · 05/08/2020 18:52

I weighed in at 110.1kg this morning which means I’ve lost 10.1kg in 10 weeks which I’m thrilled about.

Unfortunately I ordered a postal traybake for black pound day at the weekend and it arrived today. It’s delicious Blush I’ve had to get my husband to hide it!

Salad planned for tea and hopefully I’ll still be over that 10kg total loss tomorrow!

@WhatALearningCurve well done on resisting McDonald’s. I have a one year old too and a normal day can often drive me to fast food let alone throwing a Covid test into the mix Grin

MonicaBingaling · 06/08/2020 07:28

Morning everyone sorry I’ve been quiet, been really busy with work so many deadlines!

My weight has dropped considerably since that dreaded plateau and I’ve gone from 9st 13 down to 9st 8

This has happened in like 7 days which is crazy and I don’t understand it but I feel very happy about this although I’ve still got a long way to go it’s good to finally be making progress again

Shedtheload · 06/08/2020 07:44

Wow Monica, that’s amazing. Sounds like you’re experiencing the whoosh effect where your body fills the empty fat cells with water and holds on to them for ages before suddenly letting all the water go. I am hoping that this will happen to me too soon as I have had very little movement over the past few weeks. I was going to weigh this morning but accidentally drank a huge glass of water as soon as I woke up so decided to put it off until tomorrow.

MonicaBingaling · 06/08/2020 09:29

Thanks @Shedtheload you are always so knowledge about the science behind everything! It’s mad what goes on with weight loss. I’m just glad to be making some sort of progress again but don’t expect it to last as things seem to always go up and down.

I am sure you will get a whoosh real soon just keep on going! I’m so grateful for the support I had from you, and the others last week as I was so close to giving up!

cricketmum84 · 06/08/2020 09:47

Morning all! Hope all are well and looking forward to another lovely sunny day! I started early this morning so I can go sit out in the garden after my last conference call!

Plan for today is:
B - banana
L - mushroom soup
D - jackfruit burritos for DD, I'm just going to have the jackfruit filling with some finely chopped salad with pomegranate seeds.

Hope the appointment goes ok today @recklessgran and not too painful.

@WhatALearningCurve I'm so impressed with you swerving the mcDs! I would have at least left with a small milkshake!

@Shedtheload yes we love the sausages. I got a box of the chorizo style ones to try that I'm really looking forward to! I keep promising myself I'm going to start weight training but I'm the worlds greatest procrastinator!

@bellajay that's such a good loss! Well done!! Enjoy the tray bake :)

@MonicaBingaling so glad things have started moving! Waiting patiently for my woosh here 😂

Still in the 11s here. Busy with work atm and stressing about the schools going back next week so my life currently has not enough sleep and slightly too much chocolate.

Shedtheload · 07/08/2020 06:40

Thanks for your kind words Monica!

No whoosh here yet. Still the same this morning but I’m not too concerned as I have lost half an inch off my waist so I’m getting smaller. I’d rather have inch loss than scale loss any day so I’m not going to moan. I know that the fat measuring scales aren’t really accurate but mine does say I’ve lost 0.2% of body fat so I’m going to pretend that’s true and that the plateau is due to my new regular weights workout, lol. Wink

Tanaqui · 07/08/2020 06:55

I'm sure it is Shed! Monica, thats amazing, well done!

I am home so here is my start weight: 66.2kg. First goal is 63, so wish me luck!

WhatALearningCurve · 07/08/2020 07:24

Good luck @Tanaqui!

Think I'm at the midway point of my cycle which just makes me feel like a human potato.

Lost 3/4 lb so far so I think this week I'll be happy with a pound off.

Son is spending 2 nights at his dads for the first time ever so going to use it to get to the gym tonight & tomorrow for a final push

peanutbutterdog · 07/08/2020 09:53

Morning all, congrats to everyone who had a really good weight loss or lost inches this week - there are some great numbers being mentioned here at the moment.

I have managed to lose a massive whole quarter of a pound! Not surprised really as start of the week wasn't so great. Still, I will use that as a reminder to myself that I am definitely not the type of person who can eat bits of crap here and there while telling myself 'that little bit isn't too bad' and expect to get away with it. It is interesting to me though as I have been very good for months and I realised at the start of the week that if I could, I would gladly put lots of chocolate back on my menu. So much for new habits forming after 20 days or whatever that science is!

Ah, well. Better luck next week. Good luck everyone for this week!
