Weighed in this morning after a bad day having put on 0.7kg. Not great but I’ve been out for a brisk walk first thing and ready to get back on plan.

We’re about to put our house on the market and work is crazy with a few redundancies going on. Relieved to not be at risk myself but two good friends are moving on. I unfailingly eat more when I’m stressed so any tips for avoiding that are very welcome!

cricketmum84 · 02/08/2020 12:20

Happy Sunday!

Weighed but wished I hadn't as I'm showing a 2lb gain already?? Hopefully just a water blip. I'm not sleeping well again and I know that always has an effect.

OMAD today - quorn sausages, broccoli, carrots, 2 mini Yorkshire's and some veggie gravy. Just about to have a peach to put me on a bit and then may have to make a strong coffee as I'm really struggling after being awake since 3am.

We got this @JessJonesJumps you can do it!

@TheStirrer am also flabby. I'm going to do some weight training at home but don't have any training plans or videos to follow. I hope all goes well with your dad ❤️

You've done amazing @MonicaBingaling especially during lockdown!

Hope all is ok @Onesmallstep67 ❤️

@Ecci I would defo be rounding up. 0.6lbs is a big wee!! You've done amazing and you should be feeling proud not sad ❤️

Hope all is ok @recklessgran that sounds like a stressful situation. Especially when family is involved. Keep posting even if you are on the bread train. We are all here for you x

My start weight this month was 170 pounds. Somehow already 2 pound heavier 🤣

I want to be comfortably into the 11 stone bracket by the end of August, but that may be optimistic as I have a couple of afternoon teas, birthday party's and meals out! At least one a week!

Going to stick to calorie counting but try some IF when I have stuff on!

Good luck everyone!

Ecci · 02/08/2020 18:04

@cricketmum84 I love the way you think, I'm definitely rounding it up, so target achieved, thank you.
@Shedtheload Fingers crossed for us both, hopefully we will encourage each other.
Haven't done too well today, I intended to have tuna and sauerkraut for lunch, but DH opened a tin of corned beef so I ended up having a corned beef and tomato ketchup sandwich, food of the gods. Just about to have a BBQ.
Definitely back on plan tomorrow.

Ecci · 02/08/2020 18:07

@wrensandrobins just seen your post. @Shedtheload and I are on 171 lbs start this month, and are also hoping to get into the 11s. We can do this.

GetTheStartyParted · 02/08/2020 22:06

Well, I have eaten a weeks worth of calories and drank my body weight in booze but I have had a wonderful birthday. I'm 35!

We went out for a meal and I wore a size 12 dress, I cannot remember the last time that was possible (It is a generous 12 but still).

The scales will be avoided for sometime Grin

wrensandrobins · 02/08/2020 22:45

@Ecci thank you! We definitely can!

JessJonesJumps · 03/08/2020 01:40

Happy birthday @getthestartyparted ! 🎉

Hi

Thanks for the new thread! I'm still living it up on hols but will be back to join you all from the 9th.

Have a great week everyone!

BurtsBeesKnees · 03/08/2020 07:10

Yes me can I join?

I started SW at the start of the year. My lowest since, has been a loss of 18lb, but lockdown and just having a week off has seen that reduce to 12lbs, which puts me back into the obese bmi range Confused

7lb off before the end of the month would put me back to 'overweight' and 1lb down on my lowest this year - which would be fab! Although I have a long weekend planned with the girls on the last weekend in August so I'm going to try to hit that by then

NerrSnerr · 03/08/2020 07:35

Hi all. I have weighed in this morning as I am back from visiting family.

My stats are

June 1st 12st 6 (start weight)
July 1st 12st 3
August 3rd 12st 3

Not a great weight loss but at least I have stopped getting bigger!! This month I am determined to get back into the 11s. I don't have many plans for July so hoping for some motivation to do well.

WhatALearningCurve · 03/08/2020 08:40

Morning all.

So technically got a 2lb gain this morning but the numbers don't add for me to have gained that. I had a takeaway last night so I'm going to weigh again tomorrow. If my weights dropped again then I'll log that because today will be bloat. If it's the same then I'll log it and just accept a week of trying hard!

I am full of takeaway regret though which would have never happened in the old life. Imagine 🤣🤣. I’m filled with takeaway regret. I can still taste it, my house stinks of it and my stomach hurts. Like period pains almost coz it’s crampy.

By the time my son went to bed I genuinely didn’t even want it. Only ordered it coz I’d told myself I was getting it and I thought it was a treat.

Onwards and upwards (downwards!) though. Just about to go to the gym and going to have a few days of being strict calorie wise so I go under the 10st mark ASAP

GetTheStartyParted · 03/08/2020 08:51

Thank you @MonicaBingaling and @JessJonesJumps

It was a lovely day, as well as my meal out, DC bought me a cake so I had a little of that.

Today should be weigh in day but I shall get straight back to keto and look at the damage in a few days Grin

Shedtheload · 03/08/2020 09:27

Happy birthday getthepartystarted

whatalearningcurve it definitely won’t be 2 lb of fat unless you ate 10,000 calories or something! Takeaways have loads of sodium that makes you retain water like crazy so that will be it. I’m also bloated at the moment and my period still hasn’t started (it’s gone a bit crazy during lockdown lol) so I can’t wait til it does because I will feel better and hopefully the scale will go down too.

Seems there’s quite a few of us hoping to get into the 11s this month. For me it’s a weight that feels like a normal weight that I’d be happy to tell people. I know that it totally varies from person to person (and I know some people think 11st is huge) but it’s a psychological thing for me. That’s why I weigh in kilos normally because I have such a psychological attachment to stone. Weird.

WhatALearningCurve · 03/08/2020 09:52

@Shedtheload oh definitely. That's why I'm gonna reassess tomorrow.

From an "NSV" point of view (love a good NSV) I love the fact that I'm not beating myself up about this. Under previous weight loss attempts I'd just continue to sabotage myself now or go on a mad starvation attempt. It's amazing me how my mindset has completely changed this time round and hopefully it means this is all sustainable

Shedtheload · 03/08/2020 10:01

That’s great. I love when things like that start to happen because when you’re overweight and trapped in a cycle or overeating it’s hard to see how things can change. Also, it’s good how you were saying that you didn’t really want/enjoy it by the time you came to eat it. I think so much of it is psychological that we tell ourselves that this stuff tastes great etc. But when we get healthier, we realise that it’s not actually as good as we thought. I find that too with food that I used to crave like dominos pizza. It tastes okay but actually a bit too greasy. Hopefully I will get to the stage where I just don’t crave or fancy it at all.

JessJonesJumps · 03/08/2020 10:23

Happy Monday everyone!
I spent some time on the 1st trying to reset myself Grin I went back through the months where I'd lost over 4lbs and made a list of menu options from then, and also looked at how my calories split over the course of a day. I'm just going to try to replicate that this month. So far I'm down 1.2lbs - back into the elusive 11's again - hurrah!

JessJonesJumps · 03/08/2020 10:29

@cricketmum84 here's my Aug dreamboard (although I've taken out some of the family/work/study photos!) I usually create a new one each month and stick in my bullet journal/diary to keep me on track with what I want to achieve each month. I've just flicked through the ones from last year and actually for most of them I did achieve what was on my board so it's a nice visual reminder too.
This month I'm focusing on yoga, drinking more water, lots of fruit and veg, getting outdoors more (dressing as a Jane Austen heroine is optional) Wink Oh and the red circle pics in the middle are me - the photo that made me realise I needed to lose weight and one of me at the end of July.

Lose 7lbs/3kg per month - its August!
Shedtheload · 03/08/2020 11:33

Wow JessJonesJumps that’s amazing progress. You look great!

WhatALearningCurve · 03/08/2020 12:41

The difference 2 months makes! Back in May these shorts barely fit me. I'm now having to hold them at the back before they're so big!

Shedtheload · 03/08/2020 12:52

Wow whatalearningcurve you look amazing and so slim! What an achievement.

GetTheStartyParted · 03/08/2020 13:09

Thanks @Shedtheload

@JessJonesJumps what a good idea, the visual reminder of your progree must really help.

@WhatALearningCurve I have to admit, when you last posted photos, I thought 'she doesn't need to lose any more weight, why is she worrying' but you look great and must feel happier for it Smile well done!

cricketmum84 · 03/08/2020 23:44

Evening all! Busy first day back at work today after a few days off so meal choices haven't been as good as usual. I forgot to weigh then have had some fresh pineapple, a packet of French fries, a toasted teacake and a jacket potato with cheese (not even vegan cheese, bad me) and salad. I've had a small handful of jelly sweets too and was almost tempted by an ice cream this evening but remembered the sweets and said no!

Tomorrow much be less carbs and more veg.

@WhatALearningCurve you are looking incredible!

@JessJonesJumps another one looking absolutely amazing! Love the dream board, thank you for sharing :)

Happy happy birthday @GetTheStartyParted

Welcome @BurtsBeesKnees!

Hope you are having an amazing holiday @Bella444. I'll be thinking of your stinky cheese and crusty bread tomorrow!

@WhatALearningCurve and @JessJonesJumps, you both look amazing!

I have been very good at exercising so far, but as I am away and have seen people there has been cake! Will weigh when I get back, and then I will have to be on it, as I know I can't get into lots of my clothes!
