Hi, here is a new thread, Excuse the ultra unoriginal title. Weighed in at 9st0.5, this morning, aim (as it has been for every month since March) is to get under 9st. Cannot believe we are in the second half of this year.

Today’s cals: big plate of jacket potato, cheese and mackerel. Big bowl of pineapple, fat free yoghurt and honey. Couple of whiskey and tonics.

Still no period Angry

Hangoverstruggles · 10/07/2020 21:59

Evening all,

Not sure on my day really. Could be a whole lost worse, but eaten plenty of calories!

B coffee, mini bag of haribo
L jacket potato & beans, salad
D small triangle of kids pizza, chicken & chorizo paella made with pearl barley, strawberries
S - after dinner craving for peanut butter so had a couple of spoonfuls, then made some breakfast cookies from the new Deliciously Ella book and ate one. Lovely wholesome banana & oats goodness but still calories!

Heygirlheyboy · 10/07/2020 22:29

Going to bed already dreaming of tomorrow's ONO Grin Haven't had them all week. Will weigh in morning. TheHoneyBadger I am the same feel period should be very much on the way!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 10/07/2020 22:41

@twixes yes it is really hard to know what to do. What did they suggest for your son? I do think some people are just unlucky in how they gain weight and my husband and son both have the same problem, whereas I fully deserve all the weight I put on, really I should probably be fatter.
The constant asking for food is hard to deal with. I do the 'you are allowed fruit' thing too.
Today's food
B. Skyr yogurt, mixed nuts, coffee
L. Cheese and salsa toastie, carrot, small bunch of grapes
D. Chicken shish & salad no pitta, 1/3 bag of chips
S. Nectarine
Total calories 1200
Steps 12000

Octopus37 · 11/07/2020 08:29

Yes, Igglepiggle, think my DS takes after my DH. DH is a very broad build like a rugby player,, has always stayed quite fit but probably weighs more than he should for what he eats. I haven't been very good this week, might be having another period, low on energy, so I'm expecting a gain to show next week. Glad the sun is shining today.

I am not going near the scales today. AF now three days late and I am bloated and irritable.

Bubble friend has invited herself and step daughter over tonight and told the kids we’re having a takeaway. Really wish that wasn’t happening but ds is all in now. I’m not going to have the takeaway as alcohol will be consumed and calories bad enough from that.

Plan is to fast all day with soaked oats in the fridge to eat before I drink this evening and to fill me up so I’m not tempted by takeaway

TheHoneyBadger · 11/07/2020 08:34

It’s tricky. Don’t want to become antisocial but find myself resenting the calories involved

MonsteraCheeseplant · 11/07/2020 09:04

I know what you mean Badger, a benefit of lock down has been having complete control over what you eat. Social eating is tricky.

Heygirlheyboy · 11/07/2020 09:13

Just oats and then drinks tough tho? I allow myself half the takeaway half the rice. I need to get to a realistic eating pattern and I'm trying to avoid that constant feeling of having to restrict. Last night I didn't actually feel like takeaway here so went for my ratatouille (273). However I appreciate we're on a different path as I couldn't fast and would end up gorging during my window!

Heygirlheyboy · 11/07/2020 09:18

open.spotify.com/episode/0zWtujJl37TGfgoZz27AS9?si=s-XOUvHpQp-doEn6aIngCg this is good ré avoiding night time snacking.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/07/2020 09:32

It’s ok I can fit a lot of calories and balanced nutrition into my soaked oats.

I don’t want takeaway because I already cocked up with chocolate digestives this week and I need to do damage control rather than more damage. Plus I’m also meant to be having dinner in my parents garden tomorrow so wouldn’t be able to make it up then.

Just done a sweaty 45 minutes stomping through the fields to at least get off to a good start.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/07/2020 09:34

Fasting is relatively easy for me. Perhaps because my body is used to switching to burning fat for energy. And there’s plenty to burn Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 11/07/2020 09:45

Ah yes totally understand and as JS says for some it's staying away that's the right thing and for others it's taking some and not gorging that is the achievement.

Going to up my fluids today. Just weighed in at 9st 7.5. Really pleased. That's 3.75lbs in 3 weeks.

Heygirlheyboy · 11/07/2020 09:45

Oh it's two weeks.. Need to watch now that I don't get restrictive or too 'diety' in my head.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 11/07/2020 12:03

Well done @Heygirlheyboy! That's brilliant
@TheHoneyBadger I totally know what you mean about social eating. Usually, just either try to enjoy it and take it on the chin or control it in some way, but it sometimes seems like there's something 3 or 4 times a week!!

TheHoneyBadger · 11/07/2020 12:35

Exactly. I got dragged out on Monday if you remember, then it’s tonight and tomorrow and pmt MADE me eat biscuits!

I had a great loss with my extended fast this month and I don’t want to blow it. Moan moan

RaraRachael · 11/07/2020 13:33

I am feeling very good this week, but the scales will tell the truth tomorrow Hmm. Had an Indian takeaway last night but only ate half and froze the rest for midweek (when I get home from my long awaited hair appointment!)

Today's meals -
B Muesli
L Chicken and salad, fruit
D Pizza
S Coffee and biscuit

I'm vaguely working on Slimming World so not a lot left over today with pizza for dinner but can't be arsed to cook anything

Octopus37 · 11/07/2020 15:40

Well done Heygirl. Sounds as if everyone is doing well. HoneyBadger hope you enjoy your night. Know what you mean about not wanting to wreck things, but think the mental benefits gained from being able to socialise again are worth it. Just off to meet a friend at the park near our new house, who I haven't seen since before lockdown, its amazing what is exciting these days.

www.syattfitness.com/fat-loss/training-nutrition-fat-loss-ultimate-fat-loss-guide/

This is a good read from JS and it's incredible really how many cals he wants us to eat!! Grin He wants at least two high cal days per week and still promises consistent fat loss.. He says you're more likely to keep going and not sabatoging this way and still aiming for 0.5-1.5lb loss per week.. Just in case it helps anyone.

Heygirlheyboy · 11/07/2020 22:42

I should add the 2/3 high cal days still allow fora significant weekly defect, obviously enough. Just checking my weekly stats and I see have reached my 14k cals burned plus average of over 10k steps per day. Delighted. I'll bore off now and go to bed Grin
