Thank you. I carry all my weight on my tummy, with skinny limbs, so I know that I look pregnant. Well - not in 40 days! I'm on this.

GimmeAy · 03/07/2020 16:42

Going to get back to upping my walking and including abs workouts every day. I also had a Magnum three days in a row, which probably hasn't helped - I never crave icecream, in fact I'd hazard that the last time I ate an ice-cream was over a year ago. I've my period at the moment, so that may explain the hunger and I've a cold coming on which always makes me hungry. But, 0.1 kilos down tomorrow - I hope!

MoonBaby1 · 03/07/2020 18:21

Welcome @GimmeAy

I think being mistaken as pregnant is definitely more common if you’re short. It’s happened to me too Grin.

I can live without sweets and chocolate but I’m really missing my large glass of wine and crisps in the evening.

Well done for all the super weight losses today. I’m a bit nervous about weighing in tomorrow.

@GimmeAy I'm an apple shape too! I had my baby 7 months ago but I still look about 7 months pregnant Blush. If someone only saw my bum and legs they'd probably think I was a size 10, my arms are quite fat too. I can't wait to get to the point where I can choose whatever clothes I like the look of rather than whatever hides the bulges!

MirandaWest · 03/07/2020 20:59

Had another walk after dinner. And then had half a slice of chocolate cake (DH had the other half).

Feckmesideways · 03/07/2020 21:26

Today I’ve stayed on plan food wise. Tomorrow I’m not too sure I will. As I’m going to a friends for Thai food and drinks. Going to try and stick to a few gin and soda waters with lime to cut the calories, rather than wine.

sandstorm13 · 03/07/2020 23:11

Finally seem to have managed to get started. Scales showed a small decrease this morning and my eating has been much more sensible than in a long time!

Feckmesideways · 04/07/2020 08:12

Morning. Ok so I found my scales hidden away, dusted them off, stood on them, then Shit! I’m 12 stone 9! I genuinely didn’t think I’d weigh this much, because I’ve been larger clothing size wise a few years ago and weighed less... anyway they must be true. I’ve a lot more to lose than I originally thought, I’ve 4 stone to lose! Sad I suppose it’s the wake up call I needed.

isthatthesummerover · 04/07/2020 08:17

@Feckmesideways I'd have left the scales till tomorrow then you could blame the Thai and alcohol Smile
Just accept it and enjoy your weekend
Start afresh with a clear plan on Monday and think to your self I'm never going to have a weekend at 12.9 again ?

Feckmesideways · 04/07/2020 08:28

@isthatthesummerover why didn’t I think of that! At least now I know to take baby portions of the Thai food! Grin

Very true. I think I need to up my exercise and do cardio as well as my strength work outs.

sevendevils · 04/07/2020 09:31

Morning all of you, hope that you are ok and sticking to the plan.

@MoonBaby1 how did you get on with weighing yourself?

What's everyone's plans for today? I've just taken the dogs for a walk in the rain, I quite enjoyed it really even though I'm wet.

Normandy144 · 04/07/2020 09:57

So far so good. Friday was quite successful. I skipped breakfast and fitted in a 30 minute cycle. Then in the evening rewarded myself with a G+T and 2 glasses of wine. Even weighed myself a 25g portion of crisps. Normally Friday nights DH and I would finish a family size bag between us and then find room for ice cream not to mention probably a couple more glasses of wine. Feeling much better for it this morning. Dinner was also tasty; cod baked with tomato and courgette, capers, thyme and some olive oil plus steamed broccoli and a couple of jersey royals. Not sure what Saturday has in store exercise wise but we are heading to the fish shop shortly to buy some shellfish so going.to have a healthy dinner too. My first weigh in will be Monday. My starting weight was 12st 11b and this morning I had a sneak peek and it read 12st 8lbs, so really pleased with that for week 1!

sevendevils · 04/07/2020 10:27

@Normandy144 well done for losing weight this week. I am really pleased for you. It's so nice when the numbers on the scales go down and not up.

MoonBaby1 · 04/07/2020 11:03

Morning everyone

Whoop whoop, 4lb off! I’m now 10st 13lb!

Well done Normandy I had a couple of glasses of wine last night but not the ‘most of a bottle’ it would have usually been on Friday.

Feckmesideways · 04/07/2020 11:07

Congrats @Normandy144 and @MoonBaby1 on your losses! I’m glad to hear we can still drink alcohol and lose weight! It’s given me hope for tonight Grin

MoonBaby1 · 04/07/2020 11:10

Thank feckmesidways it’s made me realise my alcohol increase in lockdown was a big part of the weight gain.

sevendevils · 04/07/2020 11:19

Well done @MoonBaby1 that's great news, plus you are now under 11 stone. Well done.

GimmeAy · 04/07/2020 11:25

Lost my 0.1 kilos today. Haven't been for exercise as am feeling really sluggish. Might try a cup of tea to see if it will get me moving with a bit of caffeine.

LemonPeonies · 04/07/2020 12:07

Hello everyone! Well done on your losses. I did an extra workout YouTube video yesterday evening after I ate a chocolate croissant from Pret a Manger (400 calories!) 😱. Everything else has been salads etc though and TBH 4 days out of this week I've eaten a lot less than 1200 calories so I think it evens it out over the week?

MoonBaby1 · 04/07/2020 12:17

Thanks sevendevils Reading about you and the others excising makes me realise that’s a big part of it! I’m starting Monday.

You’re certainly not the fattest. I am 5’4 and 14 stone of disgust! I don’t think I can join in as I’d love to be 12st :-(

MoonBaby1 · 04/07/2020 12:37

OctFeb of course you can join.

What links us all is wanting to be motivated to lose weight, not the amount of weight or what size we want to get to.

And being short.... that unites us all Grin

Well done on the losses everyone Smile

MirandaWest · 04/07/2020 13:22

I keep waking up early so was out before 7 doing week 2 run 2 of couch to 5k and then DH and I walked to a local cafe for breakfast. Eggs benedict have rather more calories in than my breakfasts usually do but will keep me full for a while. So I’ve done quite a lot of exercise which seemingly gives me exyra calories on MFP.

Have been reading a thread about weighing weekly/weighing every day. I weigh weekly but can see the benefit in weighing every day as long as you keep comparing weekly points

MirandaWest · 04/07/2020 13:24

Am also doing a challenge to cover 100 miles walking and running in July - am doing pretty well so far at 31 miles
