Yes I do fast most days from 7pm to at least 1pm, then have a small lunch and dinner at around 630.
I think it works well with low carb / keto diets which is what I do. I don't actually know if it works on its own. I've lost 2.5 stones in 6 months and have another 1.5 to lose.

sevendevils · 30/06/2020 19:19

@Jannyapple66 yes I do feel full, it's actually been easy drinking loads. Not sure how much I've drank, probably 9 large glasses.

Jannyapple66 · 30/06/2020 19:22

See ! I'm a genius Smile
You've done well ... I was chuffed as I'd been counting my coffee cup as 250 mls and then when I checked it properly it was actually 425 mls lol
Even better ...

prolefeed · 30/06/2020 19:30

Bit of a blip yesterday. I was doing really well until dinner. Helpful dh had noted that I didn’t eat the mashed potatoes the night before, so he cooked special yams, just for me, and mash for everyone else. Bless. And breaded schnitzel. Ah well, the rest of the day was all good so in the interests of marital harmony I said thank you and ate it. Worked late so I wasn’t in on the planning discussions. He was trying to be helpful. Grin
Dh is the reason I am nearly 14 stone. He’s a whole foot taller than me and rugby player build. He cooks a LOT and dishes us up the same size portions (!) Has done for 20 years. As soon as I hit 40, my metabolism ground to a halt, and I’ve been getting rounder and rounder and rounder to today’s weeble-like proportions. Confused
Need to get to the kitchen first tonight 😂

Dulcedelecherocks · 30/06/2020 19:41

I also struggle with portion sizes. I can eat for England!! This is one of the reasons why I fast, so as I can have a bigger meal when I do eat.

KarrieKay · 30/06/2020 19:59

thanks @Jannyapple66! i need to really get more exercise in next week too but I'm hormonal and knackered!!

MoonBaby1 · 30/06/2020 22:03

@Lemonsaretheonlyfruit

The height, the weight, the wine Grin

We’re weight loss twins!

I’ve been better today apart from a bit of a sourdough fiasco at lunch.

Veg and noodles tonight.

@feckmesideways well done on the chloe ting abs workout. I hope you're not suffering too much?

I haven't managed any exercise today other than an hour dog walk. In fairness I had to keep up with DH who is 6ft so that always feels like I'm sprinting alongside him anyway.

I have gone over my calories by 50 today. The depressing thing is it was an apple that tipped me over the threshold - it wasn't even a chocolate biscuit!!! So I'm not concerning myself too much as the foods I have eaten today have been within my 8 hour window and have been relatively healthy. I admit I could've done better drinking more water but I did drink much more than I normally would so just need to keep building it up each day. I went to the loo at least 4 times before lunch and normally I can go all day without peeing!

Tomorrow will be tricky as I have to run at 6am. (I'm always ravenous after a run!) and my IF window starts at 10am but I will be out and about until midday. I just hope I don't pass out from starvation and a cup of tea will see me through till lunch.

Keep going everyone. No more stumpy shorties - we will be svelte shorties in no time!

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 07:49

Morning all, I hope that you are doing ok.

I'm going to have another day on the water, I just wish that it didn't go straight through me. It's quite a chore visiting the loo every 15 minutes. Hopefully my body will adjust soon.

I had to walk my dogs in the rain yesterday as it poured all day. I'm determined to keep my steps up. It's nice and sunny today where I am.

Be good everyone

MirandaWest · 01/07/2020 08:15

Had my first weigh in this morning and have lost 2.1kg. Which also puts me into the over weight rather than obese category Grin
Still a lot of work to do but at least it’s going in the right direction.

Going to go for a walk in a few minutes

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 08:16

@MirandaWest that loss is so good. Well done, you must be pleased.

MirandaWest · 01/07/2020 08:19

Thank you Smile
This was my first week so I know it probably won’t continue like this but glad that severely dropping my sweets and chocolate consumption has actually had an effect!
Going to get DH to do my measurements later on to see if there’s any change there

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 08:24

@MirandaWest my first weigh in will be on Friday. I've been pretty good to be honest. I will be happy with any loss.

MirandaWest · 01/07/2020 08:28

@sevendevils I felt that way so does make this feel even better!

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 08:34

@MirandaWest I guess sticking at it is the hard part, it's definitely motivating to see a good loss.

Dulcedelecherocks · 01/07/2020 08:52

Well done Miranda. It feels amazing to "just" be overweight! That's a great loss too.
I was good last night and only had a few nuts in the evening so stayed under 10g carbs.

I ache all over from the class I did yesterday but I'm determined to keep it up so I'll do another one this morning. Think I'll go for a metafit and LBT. wish me luck!

MoonBaby1 · 01/07/2020 09:10

Morning everyone
That’s brilliant Miranda! Well done.

I’d just be happy with any weight loss this Friday too!

dulce I was on the cashews last night and had a shock when I put them into my online food diary Blush

OP posts:
sevendevils · 01/07/2020 09:12

Are cashews high calorie?

KarrieKay · 01/07/2020 09:36

My first weigh in today and I've gone from 11st7 to 11st3 in a week. Pretty happy with that!
I need to ramp up the exercise though. Does anyone have recommendations? I'm currently doing Robin Long Pilates and walking 3 miles most days with a bit of Davina DVD thrown in!

KarrieKay · 01/07/2020 09:37

@sevendevils all nuts and seeds are surprisingly high calorie for a "health" food. They are full of good fats. According to my new Noom knowledge they are high calorie density and should be eaten sparingly Grin

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 09:39

@KarrieKay well done on your weight loss. That's so good.

Yes I had a feeling that nuts were surprisingly high in calories and fat, I love walnuts, especially in a chocolate brownie 😃

sevendevils · 01/07/2020 09:59

@Jannyapple66 how are you doing?

MirandaWest · 01/07/2020 10:19

@karriekay I’m doing couch to 5k (have done it before and it does work). Am on week 2 run 1 tomorrow

Feckmesideways · 01/07/2020 10:23

@littleninja my abs hurt so bad, I never knew a 10 minute workout could have such an impact.

My huel arrived yesterday so I’ll be having that for lunch and dinner today. The past few days have been odd, I don’t have much of an appetite and I’m averaging at 1000 calories per day.
