In the past year (since getting married) I’ve gained about 3 stone.
I know exactly why, we went from being quite active to sitting in front of the TV most evenings and weekends, eating shit (chocolate etc).

We went out to a friends post wedding garden party this weekend (Social distanced) and when I looked at photos on Facebook I was MORTIFIED.

I know I’ve gained weight, but how did I not know I looked like that??
I didn’t even recognise myself!

So, today is Day 1 of ‘Bookaholic Gets Buff’ and I’m looking for support, advice, fellow ‘Buffers’ who would like to join in etc

I am quite active, although you wouldn’t believe it by looking at me. So it’s mainly diet I need to improve.

I’m 13st and a size 18 Blush
I’m aiming for 10st.

I managed to keep to 1250 on mfp today and had a good walk. I’m doing 30 days alcohol free challenge as I know wine and food treats which follow are my weakness!!

6 mile walk in the heat here today plus no snacking (my downfall!) and some nice healthy meals. Feeling good here.

I'm day 2. I need to lose 2 stone. Feeling very motivated. I've joined Weightwatchers online as I like the diet and app (previously lost weight on it).

I have drunk and eaten my way through lockdown. No more wine!

I've not been too bad today but did cave to a small ice cream cone with everyone else after tea. Did my 10k steps but bloody ankle is grumbling

I love wine, all wine, well not the really shit wine but all half decent wine. Anyway, I've tried to move to gin for most of my drinking & have a bottle of wine over the weekend. 3 nights alcohol free now is a win. Garden catchup scheduled for tomorrow - will have to take my own low cal biscuit, then delivering meals to old folk in the avo. Hope damn ankle legs me walk in the morning.

I think I need to eat more fruit. Broccoli is ready in the garden so will have it tomorrow eve with chicken & roast veg & a bit of tonight's leftover butter chicken. Random but I'm even more conscious of wasting anything since lockdown started so random teas will feature more often!

Given how stressful the day has been I don’t feel I’ve done too badly, couplemof cups of coffee before lunch at 12 which although cheesy wasn’t enormous, managed to resist the biscuits in the afternoon which would usually be my first stop for stress. Was really quite hungry by home time so didn’t do so well in the evening, but stopped eating after tea, which was chicken kebab. I can’t decide if that’s an ok meal or not & cant be bothered to look it up Blush

Speaking as a big wine & gin fan myself, if anyone wants to try & cut down on the wine, I can highly recommend reading The Sober Diaries by Clare Pooley - it has completely given me a changed mindset regarding booze & is a really good read too. Am 30 days AF today Smile

God I SO need to shift this weight. My knees are killing me & my back has gone too now! I REALLY want to go swimming but the pool is shut. It's going to have to be a long walk for me this morning.

I managed a carb free day yesterday. Will try again today. Good luck everyone !!! X

@Bookaholic73 my DP does this. He’s also been known to randomly construct massive plates of cheese and crackers and bring them to me in the evening. The bastard.

I crumbled to the wine in the garden last night. Feel crappy for it now. Not hungover, just regret i did. Not sure what to do today, don't know whether to go for a walk on the beach or do the garden

Tuna salad for lunch here and chicken kebabs with salad and slaw for dinner. Prob do a vege kebab or two as well.

Morning ladies!
I only ate half the pretzels and 2 glasses of wine last night. So not too bad. Of course, not this means I have the rest to eat/drink at a later date.

This evening we are going surfing for a few hours, so I don’t need to worry about exercise today, apart from a quick walk with the dogs.

I am going to make soup for lunch today, with leeks and potatoes.
Breakfast will probably just be fruit, as I feel the need to stay hydrated.

Ooh can I join please? I'm on day 5 and need support. My moment of realisation came on Friday when I tried on my wedding dress (getting married in April) and it wouldn't zip up! It fitted fine at the start of Feb, and that 4 months after giving birth, so I was too big then!
I weighed 11st 5lb on Friday. I'm only 5"2 and it really shows. All my weight goes on my middle so I'm currently slim arms and legs with a big round ball in the middle.

I want to get to 10 st 5 by DS's first birthday (October, so totally doable if I put my mind to it). My plan is to eat 1200 and not be too restrictive with carbs. I always fall off the wagon if I do that. I'm on day 5 and doing well so far (apart from a magnum yesterday. Oops) but I have zero will power so need support!

I will join the Monday weigh in. Will buy scales this weekend as Dont usually weigh myself and just go by clothes fitting or not as it were!
Been living in tracksuit bottoms all lockdown and got a fright when they didn’t fit.

16:8 is going really well for me, on day four and it’s really helped me to stop constant snacking

Did have wine yesterday though Confused
