Morning all!

@imnottoofussed 3lbs is a great loss in a week, well done!

Weigh in day today, I was 66.5kg last Monday and today I'm 65.4kg so that's 1.1kg off - exactly what I was aiming for. I'm really pleased. I've lost 3kg (6.5lb) in two weeks. My target for this week is another 1kg off.

LlamaofDrama · 22/06/2020 12:17

Well done to the losers Smile I'm one too, yay. 1.25lb off, a total of 3.75lb off in about 3 weeks. Which doesn't sound like much but I'm not that much over, so it's harder. The best thing is that it validates the process; because I know it's working it's easier to keep motivated.

Another run this morning, I'm trying so hard to make it a habit! @BryonyG Powerlifting Shock that sounds like hard work!

imnottoofussed · 22/06/2020 13:10

Excellent we are all heading in the right direction Grin

SallyLovesCheese · 22/06/2020 14:42

Well done, @imnottoofussed and @BryonyG and @LlamaofDrama ! Good to hear of losses on the scales!

I'm another lb lighter so am saying 5lbs loss over 2 weeks! My scales show decimals of lbs so I rounded down for my first weigh-in then have been rounding up each week, but I'm confusing myself so from this week I'm going by the whole lbs number and ignoring the decimal places.

Starting weight: 12st 2lbs
Week 1: 11st 12lbs
Week 2: 11st 11lbs

I am determined to pick up the running again at some point - life with work and a little one just doesn't seem to leave much time! But I know it'll help shape me, if not lose weight, so will try and make time this week! Plus I had a Costa lunch today so reeeeeeally need to get that off now!

BryonyG · 22/06/2020 21:04

Well done everyone - here's to another good week this week!

Wanderlustnearorfar · 23/06/2020 11:03

Hi, all hope it’s ok to join! You have inspired me to try out SlimFast, my order arrives Saturday, as there was none of the flavours in store I wanted, boots have a buy one get one free on all slimfast products if that helps anyone. I have a fair bit to lose Blush a combination of factor I have put on around 21kg.
I am 5’11 and currently weigh 97 kg
Am looking to get down to 79kg
Anyone else have a large amount to lose?
How are you all finding it ? I’m quite excited to get started.

Wanderlustnearorfar · 23/06/2020 11:04

Sorry lots of typos in my post above Blush must remember to proof read before posting

MellieNelba · 23/06/2020 11:12

Well first week over and not found it as bad as I thought .to be honest I like the fact that I am not constantly thinking what shall I eat and I do like the shakes.
Started lockdown at 11.12 managed to lose a stone through worry/illness.
Started Slimfast at 10.9
It’s week - 10.7
So that’s 2lb gone.
We are probably not back at Work til Oct - so who knows how different I will look.......next focus is getting my hair cut.
I am venturing to the shops for the first time - thanks for the tip about Boots.

BryonyG · 23/06/2020 11:56

Welcome @Wanderlustnearorfar, I'm really glad we've inspired you! Honestly I'm finding it really easy now I'm in the swing of it. I really like the taste of the slimfast products which helps a lot!

Well done @MellieNelba, 2lbs is a really good loss! I'm desperate to get my hair done too, it hasn't been cut or coloured since February so I'm looking a bit of a state. Not sure when the hairdressers here will reopen but I'll be first in the queue when they do!

Dairym23 · 24/06/2020 22:27

Hi everyone hope you’re all well. I feel like I haven’t logged in for ages! Welcome to newbies. I did weigh myself on Monday and I’ve done okay! Not gonna list the figures until I’m not ashamed to type the numbers Grin

Work has been stressful. I won’t actually be starting till September but I’m having to attend weekly meetings with people I’ve never met! It’s so weird and awkward. I did stuff 2 slim fast snacks right after the meeting so I will be extra strict tomorrow.

BryonyG · 25/06/2020 08:37

Hi @Dairym23 - well done on the loss! I hope your work gets less stressful as you get used to it.

I've fallen off the wagon this week Sad I had KFC for lunch on Monday, although I then skipped dinner to make up for it, but then last night I ate a big bar of chocolate. I don't even know why I did it, I felt sick and guilty straightaway. I weighed myself this morning and I'm the same as Monday morning so looks like I'll not be losing anything this week. Really annoyed with myself!

SallyLovesCheese · 25/06/2020 09:07

Welcome, newbies!

Well done, @Dairym23 on your loss! Your work situation does sound weird. I had a manager start at Easter so never met her in person and we have weekly meetings!

@BryonyG - I totally get you. Monday I had a party for breakfast and a Costa lunch, then Tuesday I went a bit crazy in the evening and had all manner of snacks. But yesterday I was so on it, so looking to do the same today.

SallyLovesCheese · 25/06/2020 09:17

*pastry!!! No breakfast parties here!

imnottoofussed · 25/06/2020 18:37

So this week has been a struggle. Good news is I've eaten all the cornetos now so none left to tempt me Grin I've started intermittent fasting to see if that speeds things up so yesterday and today only had water until 1pm then had two shakes for lunch. Weigh day tomorrow so will see how that goes.

@SallyLovesCheese - I'd say a breakfast pastry is definitely a party Grin

@imnottoofussed good luck for the weigh in today!

I'm definitely going to see no loss this week. I had a big piece of birthday cake last night. If the scales are the same on Monday I will be relieved, hopefully they won't actually have gone up.

FatBeGone · 26/06/2020 12:33

How is everyone?

I'm about 3lbs down overall, nothing earth shattering, but enough to keep me on this wagon - I've dropped down to 1 shake just before lunchtime and 2 snacks before dinner around 6pm ish (started yesterday) we will see how it goes

hope you're all feeling well and motivated!!

imnottoofussed · 26/06/2020 21:40

Well I weighed the same this morning as I did last Friday so no loss this week. Keeping my chin up as 3lb lost in week one.

FatBeGone · 26/06/2020 22:14

so overall.... -3 :-)

Well done everyone just for keeping on! Sometimes that's the hardest bit.

I'm still going, don't expect a loss till late next week but it won't happen then if I don't stick at it now, so I'm trying to keep focused.

Shake for breakfast today, my patented flavour combo of a frozen/ chilled espresso shot topped up with milk, 1 scoop cafe latte, I scoop chocolate and a teaspoon of cacao powder. It will be the same for lunch. And I did a longer run this morning which was a massive triumph of will power. But I took strava for the first time and it completely messed up so I still don't know how far or how fast and that hurts a data geek Shock

Happy weekend, everyone.

SallyLovesCheese · 27/06/2020 12:12

@BryonyG - it was a REALLY good pastry!!

Sounds like everyone is doing okay. Well done on the 3lb loss, @FatBeGone!

My old WW coach always said it's more like a 10-day thing to a loss, so don't be too disheartened, @imnottoofussed

@LlamaofDrama - that shake sounds good! I got some new powders through Amazon, vanilla and caffe latte. So this morning I had one scoop of each and it was SO GOOD! Having the same for lunch! So much nicer than the strawberry. I've been really on plan these last few days, so hoping for some kind of loss on Monday.

Mopani · 27/06/2020 12:22

Hello i'm a bit late for June I suppose but can I join you all? I reached a horrible milestone when I stood on the scales and I was over 10 stone. I'm barely 5'1" inches and was only 7stone 5 12 years ago. I weigh more than I did when I was 9 months pregnant. I'd love to go down to 8.5 stone. I managed to lose 12 lbs last year before my holiday but it has all and more crept back on. I need to order the shakes but really love to eat out of boredom so hope I can manage.

FatBeGone · 27/06/2020 12:57

Hi @Mopani we are always open to new joiners,

i'm having a banana shake for lunch

MrsRLH75 · 27/06/2020 15:30

Hi everyone! Can I join you please? I’ve loved reading through this thread - I hope there will be a July one as it’s just what I need! I’m planning on a shake for breakfast and lunch, a balanced meal in the evening (usually Hello Fresh), 10k steps a day... and see what happens! Like many of you, I use food as an emotional crutch and I’ve some very ingrained habits to break. Can’t wait to get started tomorrow.

BigMumma18 · 28/06/2020 17:17

Hi, this thread is great! I have been on Slim-Fast for 4 days now and have loads of weight to lose, I gained so much when pregnant and was overweight before, now my little girl is over 2 years old. I found it hard to have the enthusiasm to diet, then one day I just said it's now or never! The weight has just been piling on so I really need to do this, hope you all don't mind me joining? X
