Monstera that website list is amazing! Meal planning now

EndlessUserName · 09/06/2020 07:51

@Hangoverstruggles that's definitely progress then! Even if you do have some extra squares of chocolate, just hold onto that - that you didn't eat the whole bar - that's huge progress!! (And I know exactly how you feel - cake is my nemesis!)

Yes it's so busy on here lately, I like it!

Today's menu
B - 15g granola, natural yogurt, mango
L - sweet potato fries, roasted leeks, green beans
D - left over chilli in a wrap with salad, cheese etc
S - maybe a choc or two

Have a lovely day everyone

EndlessUserName · 09/06/2020 07:52

Ooh and yes I definitely agree with keeping busy in the evening, or read in bed / go upstairs. We have a rule that we never eat upstairs (mainly for the kids hah!) so that really helps me

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 09/06/2020 07:54

Hey @Hangoverstruggles 11 hours of desk work sounds horrible. I'm very impressed you kept to such a low calorie count! I never used to do a desk job and I still can't quite get used to it for long periods. It hurts my back. Maybe a standing desk would work for you for some of the time? Or (I heard this wonderful phrase in academia) do some cognitive work while you go for a walk? I do the latter all the time. If you work something out as you're going you can record a voice note on your phone.
Thanks for the recipe link @MonsteraCheeseplant
Have a good day all! I'm weighing in tomorrow so trying to be extra good

HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/06/2020 08:33

Trying to plan ahead now... Subject to change...
B: sausage omelette again
L: chicken and veg soup, houmous and celery
D: beef and lentil stew, potatoes, veg.

Octopus37 · 09/06/2020 08:50

Welcome Honeysuckle, sounds as if you are doing really well, 4 pounds in a week is amazing. Everyone's menus sound great. 9st1.5 for me this morning, so hopefully getting better again. Just eaten a Belvita bake for breakfast, obviously with the move, eating a bit more irregular and whatever (that makes sense) than normal. Tomorrow will be my last weigh in for this week as I will have to pack the scales Hope everyone has a good day

everycowandagain · 09/06/2020 09:04

Morning all. I had a decent day yesterday and ended up slightly under my calories although I didn't manage any exercise. I felt really tired, probably a combo of AF and an intense work day in my home office with calls until 7.30pm :-(

I was down slightly this morning, did an early FitnessBlender workout and will stay focused on the calories.

everycowandagain · 09/06/2020 09:06

@hangoverstruggles the Amstel 66 calorie beer is great!!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 09/06/2020 13:18

Food today:
B. Granola bar coffee (300)
L. Jacket potato, cheese, roasted vegetables. Small orange juice (550)
D. Spag bol (450)
That leaves 200 spare which I'll use for low cal ice cream
Fingers crossed I've lost some weight when I weigh in tomorrow

TheHoneyBadger · 09/06/2020 13:49

Scales are being mean to me. Trying not to despair and remember I’m pre menstrual.

Have borrowed a hedge trimmer and it’s due to be raining again from tomorrow but struggling to crack on.

EndlessUserName · 09/06/2020 15:00

@Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket did you make the granola bars?

@honey definitely don't pay attention to weight before af

HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/06/2020 15:53

Oh gosh no, weights before periods don't count! I think my record pre and post period difference was about 6lbs!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/06/2020 16:27

6lbs! That's so nuts. Our bodies are very confusing aren't they?!

I caved and weighed myself today. 10.5, same as before which I'm happy about because I thought it might have been a fluke AND I've had a massive fish and chip dinner since then so all in all, good news 😆

I bought an enormous bag of raw prawns at Costco at the weekend and have been losing myself in heavenly looking recipes. Plus that link with loads of tasty meal ideas and this dieting thing really doesn't feel like much of a hardship.

TheHoneyBadger · 09/06/2020 16:40

My post got eaten.

I was apologising for not keeping up and saying hello to newbies. I’m not with it today. I cut through the cable of the hedge trimmers Blush Hormones are mental-I’m grumps and achy and foggy headed. Hope af hurries up and arrives.

Have fasted today but I really need a glass of wine and a bath I think. Will try and stay away from the scales.

TheHoneyBadger · 09/06/2020 16:41

I LOVE prawns. I need to find a reasonably priced source. I can just eat a whole cupful with a little vinegar.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/06/2020 16:53

Oh dear @TheHoneyBadger don't operate machinery while fasting?! Lidl sometimes have good priced prawns.

OP posts:
HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/06/2020 18:03

Oh dear, not ideal with the hedge trimmer! Hope you're ok, no electric shocks or anything.

I also love prawns but my husband won't eat them so I very rarely get them.

SuperPixie247 · 09/06/2020 19:01

Thanks for the link to the risotto!

@Hangoverstruggles Totally know what you mean to remind yourself about your old habits to motivate yourself to do well. I too was eating a sharing size bar of chocolate on an evening!

6lbs is a huge difference. Almost half a stone!

@TheHoneyBadger sorry to hear about your cable. Its so annoying too!

SuperPixie247 · 09/06/2020 19:02

Hit post too soon!

Meh day today. My DP went shopping and bought a few Starbucks coffees and I had one. 150+ calories but I've been averaging a 1000 so calling it my treat!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/06/2020 19:23

Be careful eating less than 1200 a day, nutritionists say you need that minimum to get the nutrients your body needs to survive.

OP posts:
HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/06/2020 20:18

Yes, when I was eating 1200 but then running 5km plus every day, I really suffered with excessive fatigue. My husband was ill at the time and I thought it was because I was doing everything, but he got better and a month later I was still struggling to get up in the morning. Didn't get better until I started eating more.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 09/06/2020 20:57

Weight before periods doesn't count! Just keep doing the right thing and look after yourself. Dark chocolate, steak, red wine, Guinness and spinach and feta pies are good for iron! :-)
Yes I made the granola bars myself.

Hangoverstruggles · 09/06/2020 21:34

Hello!

Oh honey, so annoying for you!

I've had a much more active day today. Off work and did two school runs totalling 3 miles, and a 5k run plus spent a few hours gardening. Didn't really sit down until now so feel better for that.

Calorie wise I thought I'd nailed it until I remembered I'd eaten some jelly I'd made with the kids and forgot to log it mindless eating strikes again!

B weetabix, milk, strawberries & coffee (280)
L chicken salad, some crackers and some almonds (350)
D veg stir fry with 150g cooked rice, small white wine (370)
S an apple, 1/4 cheese roll, the bloody jelly! (300ish)

1300ish. Really wanted to come under today but with the activity I'm ok with it.

DH is sitting next to me eating Cadbury's Dairy Milk and drinking the wine. I've told him how much a hate him has made me a herbal tea... kind but not cutting it!

Today is marks by 8th week dieting. Amazed I'm still sticking with it!

Hope you've all had a good day
@SuperPixie247 if you're doing 1000 a day you definitely have room for treats here & there. Enjoy!

Posypetal · 09/06/2020 22:56

I found out I’m pregnant today Shock

I still want to carry on losing weight. Last time they made a big deal about my weight and I’m dreading it again so I’m going to try and lose weight (sensibly)

I’ve had a bit of a shit day. Ate 4 fish fingers leftover from the kids dinner! And a magnum I found at the back of the freezer... my main meals were fine but I’ve definitely gone over my calories, and only done 7000 steps.

So plan for tomorrow is to drink lots of water ( I barely drink anything other than coffee and Diet Coke) eat sensibly, do 10000 steps and take my vitamins! Smile

Hope everyone’s doing ok x

HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/06/2020 23:01

Congratulations Posypetal! How lovely SmileFlowers

Hangover I love jelly. The sugar free stuff is pretty negligible in terms of calories (although I do log it anyway) so it's an ideal dessert.
