Afternoon everyone. I just had a bacon and egg sandwich for 280 calories thanks to your recommendation of the lean bacon medallions and 50/50 bread which is 64 cals a slice. It was amazing.

Breakfast honey on toast, dinner will be spag bol again. DH still wants to lose weight so no take away this weekend.

I'm loving the crazy weather today. Tropical down pour then sun shine 🌞

Welcome back Cankles. Maintenance is a massive part of the journey isn't it.

Maintenance is a massive part of the journey isn't it.

Isn’t it just?

Honey I thought “Job cankles” was short for Good Job 👍

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 27/06/2020 21:24

Hi all, just checking in.
Food today:
B. Porridge, berries, almonds, coffee 250
L. Cheese salad sandwich 350
D. Spag bol, 2 Glasser's of wine, Cornetto 760
S. Slice of bread with butter and marmalade. 300

I'm quite hungry now, but gonna drink tea rather than eat more. I needed to have more fruit in and I could have filled up on apples.

Now that I'm a bit closer to a healthy weight I'm starting to think about maintenance more. There's another thread about snails pace loss and was thinking that might be a good idea once I've dropped another half a stone, do the last bit very, very slowly and ease into a maintenance approach

MonsteraCheeseplant · 28/06/2020 07:28

Hey everyone.
I've been hitting nearer 1400 cals than 1300 which was my aim the last couple of days. Weird that I'm finding 1300 harder to stick to than 1200. I'm hoping though, that I'll easily maintain at 1500, I just wanted to increase slowly. I wonder if my attitude has changed from losing to maintaining and increasing by 100 isn't feeling much different. I dunno.

Iggle you have done so well,. 9st0.75 this morning, weird but welcome fluctuation.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 28/06/2020 09:15

Ooh, that's good Octopus!

Iggle, your food yesterday sounds delicious.

Monsters it's tricky to get your head right when you change for sure. Well done octopus.
Breakfast: two scrambled eggs
Strawberries and kiwis chopped
Coffee dash milk
Dinner: roast chicken with potatoes and veg
Lunch : undecided.

Thanks for the potato recipe above!

TheHoundsofLove · 28/06/2020 10:45

It's definitely all about being in the right headspace isn't it?
I've had a major try on of old clothes and it has given me a much needed kick up the arse. I've got such a lot of lovely clothes that I would feel really sad to never wear again. Lots of them do now fit me, but the smaller bits are still too tight to wear comfortably (although I can get in them!). I reckon that they'll look perfect if I could lose about another 9lbs. I'm 9st5 this morning, so that would take me to 8st10. Which I feel is perfectly achievable if I actually pull my finger out.
Although, I have to confess that I went out for dinner last night and had 3 courses, wine and a cocktail....Grin....so this week may be yet another maintenance week!

Heygirlheyboy · 28/06/2020 10:47

Ooh hounds you're doing brilliantly. I was 8st 11 just two years ago and that's where I want to be too but I am way off after my spectacular fall from grace. A three course meal has to be allowed and enjoyed. Smile

Hangoverstruggles · 28/06/2020 10:55

Morning all,

10st 2 this morning which is maintain!

I have been averaging 1300 this week so thought I might lose just half lb but held the same. I have just finished my period so poss that has interfered and I'll see a slight change this week.

Well done Octopus.

Monstera it's a strange mindset after limiting to 1200 isn't it! I've done some days 1200 & some 1400. Not used my extra wisely - lots of ice cream on Friday night and pigged on jelly beans last night 😬

RaraRachael · 28/06/2020 11:02

I am the same weight this week. I've been out walking every day as the weather has been nice, but this has been offset by a lot of cake eating as OH and I both have our birthdays this week.

Back to normality next week Smile

TheHoneyBadger · 28/06/2020 11:46

Morning. I’m not convinced I’m getting anywhere.

Aim is to fast all day. I have overnight oats in the fridge for bedtime. Not feeling confident about making it that far but I don’t want to lea June heavier than I started it Hmm

Heygirlheyboy · 28/06/2020 14:03

Just filling in my lunch: wholemeal pitta, pesto and cheese toasted. Purple snack and coffee to finish. Plenty of caps left for roast dinner. Have to get 1-1.5lb off this week and get things going from there.

TheHoneyBadger · 28/06/2020 15:05

Struggling. I know I should go out for a walk and try and switch my state but I just want to eat my oats and say fuck it!

Will go for the bloody walk.

Heygirlheyboy · 28/06/2020 15:34

Or eat oats now, walk later plus early night?

MonsteraCheeseplant · 28/06/2020 16:12

What she said ^^

I've been busy with creativity today so haven't been needing to snack. I'm really nailing my weekend meal plans lately I gotta say Grin I could have this every feckin day and die happy.

B: Toast and honey (204)
L: Bacon and egg sandwich (258)
D: Creamy parmesan garlic shrimp (472)
S: Reese's thin (57) There will be more snacks Grin (@Hangoverstruggles this is how I use my extra calories too....0

Hi everyone.

B bacon sandwich, toast and jam
L caramel rice cake and tea
D vegetable tagine
S mini bakalva piece

I also feel like I'm getting nowhere fast this week which is frustrating but I don't weigh in till Tuesday officially.

TheHoneyBadger · 28/06/2020 16:52

Once I start eating I feel like eating more so I try to delay till close to bedtime on a fast day.

I went for a walk in the crazy wind. Now on herbal tea.

Monstera your dinner sounds lovely!

TheHoundsofLove · 29/06/2020 07:04

How did you manage last night Honey - did you last until your oats and then have your early night as planned?
I mean business this week! My son and I have been for an early 5k run before school, plus I'm going to do some weights this morning and am aiming for a 1200 calorie day.

Octopus37 · 29/06/2020 07:40

9st1.25 here today. Nothing much to report, Happy Monday all

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 29/06/2020 07:49

Sorry to hear everyone feels like they are treading water this week. I've had a bad eating week this week too.
It's mainly down to the new novelty of having people come round and hang out in the garden. I've ordered two curry take outs for that just this week...eek!
I might do a fast today to try to make up for it.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 29/06/2020 07:51

Good luck @TheHoundsofLove, you can do it!

I stuck to within an acceptable range of my calorie goal yesterday. Being busy doing something engrossing helps. Fingers crossed for work today.

Can I ask a hypothetical question? How could you do damage limitation on weight if you fell pregnant? The idea of starting all over again is deeply unappealing. There's no real avoiding it though I fear.

I held out till 7.30 for my oats but ended up also having a couple of slices of halloumi and four fish sticks and a couple of spoons of halo top. Still well under a thousand I think.

Perhaps more importantly, and apologies for tmi but the new medicine for my bowels has had quite an effect on me and after a couple of days of not going I really went to the toilet this morning!

Whichever the cause I’m back to within half a pound of my low Confused

So 14st7.4. I’m wary of saying it because the way my weight goes it could bounce up hugely again but I have lost a stone in total. It’s taken nearly 3 months and not in a regular decreasing fashion but I have done it.

My first goal is 14st but ultimately I’d like to get back to 10st-10st7. So at least 4stone to go.

Yay for determination hangover. You can do it.

Monstera in theory you don’t have to eat a lot whilst pregnant and you can ensure the additional calories needed come from healthy additions rather than cake and keep up being active. Know it’s different in reality though. Pregnancy was the first time I had a sweet tooth. Never lost it after giving birth sadly Blush

HoneysuckIejasmine · 29/06/2020 08:36

Monstera I didn't gain excessive weight in either pregnancy - just the weight of the baby and a bit of fluid, which went after birth. Now, after DD was born is another story but it's by no means a given that you'll gain weight in pregnancy beyond what is necessary for the growth of a baby.

Honey well done. I always always always go to the toilet before weighing in the morning. Grin I've got a few stone to go too. Slowly slowly Hmm Frustrating but we'll get there.
