EndlessUserName · 16/06/2020 12:22

Wow! Well here's some of the James Smith info! So interesting and reassured that he's saying exactly what I was thinking!!

Ps very very sorry about the daily fail link, you can probably tell by my username that I'm not a fan!! But it seems to summarise what must have been an instan post

I find week before AF very difficult (especially emotionally) and was actually receiving treatment for this before lockdown, so now that has had to stop so I'm trying things to see if I can work around AF a bit better by myself

Def good to have a plan. What treatment were you having? I use Angus castus extract which definitely helps me.

2 weeks a month diet may be perfect come maintenance or near there.

Fasting is going ok. Just on water and black coffee so far. Am making sure I do my hourly steps and keep moving plus will get a decent walk in later.

Ds is convinced he’s fat bless him (overdue an upwards growth spurt in my opinion) and wants to do something about it. So I’ve made him a protein shake and load of watermelon for lunch and I’m going to make us tortilla and lots of veg for when I break my fast this evening.

I really need to nail today and feel back on the wagon.

RaraRachael · 16/06/2020 13:23

Thanks very much for all your encouraging words after my awful time on Sunday. I'm continuing to walk every day and be really careful with what I'm eating. I really miss chocolate, so have it as an occasional treat. I was also doing a lot of baking to relieve the lockdown boredom, but as there are only the 2 of us in the house, I just had to eat half of it!

Trying to be positive this week Smile

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 16/06/2020 16:45

Hello all!
I'm on the blob this week as well. Have been very on and off with the diet. My aim is now just not to have put on more than I lost last week Blush
Today's food
B. Granola bar coffee (300)
L. Ommlette toast (570)
D. Will have leftover moussaka from tomorrow which is about 350
S. Already had 3 club bars (now I feel guilty cos usually only get them when I give blood)
Work drinks tonight: will have a few g& diet ts
Gonna be over my aim of 1500 again and weigh in tomorrow

Posypetal · 16/06/2020 17:42

igglepiggle on the blob Grin me too!

I’ve stayed the same this week. Have eaten awfully yesterday and today due to being really busy at work and not having time to go shopping so been eating whatever I can get my hands on, usually bread or chocolate!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 16/06/2020 17:43

Seems like it but mine was first so maybe I’m the alpha female sparking periods in my wake? Wink
MonsteraCheeseplant · 16/06/2020 18:12

Grin Alpha female. You actually made me laugh saying that.

Hi hope not Honey as I'm not for another 10 days Grin

Sounds like everyone is being really sensible. Dieting will only work if it becomes a way of life, and for that to happen it has to be realistic and sustainable. So breaks are essential!

I'm not sure how my weight will end up on Friday (my weigh day) but I had three 1800 cal days over the weekend but managed to keep to 1200 today & yesterday with a good day planned for tomorrow so hoping that all balances out. I feel I could still lose half lb if I manage to get some exercise in.

Today
B overnight oats, blueberries & strawberries, coffee (350)
L jacket potato, beans & salad, 2 satsumas (370)
D massive chicken & veg stir fry with homemade sauce (400)

Got a tiny bit left, maybe have some yog or a small Kit Kat

After watching some Jordan Syatt videos I'm trying to up my protein for a couple of days to see if it helps my hunger levels! Off work for the rest of the week so feeling more focused.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 16/06/2020 18:44

B: Yoghurt
L: Soup
D: Jambalaya
S: Kit kat, french fancy

I've got 161 calories to burn. How would you finish your day?

OP posts:
MonsteraCheeseplant · 16/06/2020 18:45

I'm thinking maybe halo top. I do have meringue nests (50cals) and light squirty cream but no berries.

OP posts:
Hangoverstruggles · 16/06/2020 19:45

@MonsteraCheeseplant ooh 160 is loads left! I wish I could manage to save mine up, I always run out and find myself prowling the kitchen!

If it were me I'd have chocolate every time.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 16/06/2020 20:25

Well, I went over but still under 1300 so it's all good. I could carry on eating (chocolate) indefinitely today I swear. I have fuck all at breakfast because I crave chocolate in the evenings and i'm not hungry first thing anyway.

Anyone watching good TV at the moment?

I've managed my first 16:8. Did 10.10am to 6.10pm!

I'm going to see how I go with this for a few weeks, maybe three? and then reassess whether I should calorie count. I'm eating ok though, breakfast of cereal and coffee, sandwich for lunch and pasta for dinner and three after eights. Carb heavy day today which isn't great though!

Twixes · 16/06/2020 21:52

I'm watching Schitts Creek on Netflix. It's funny 😁

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 16/06/2020 22:14

I'd have halo top because it's protein and sweets

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 17/06/2020 08:00

Well, I've weighed myself and after a bad calories week I've put on 1lb, which is fine. I'll try to have a good week this week. Just off out for a hungover and very slow c25k first week exercise with my son to start.

Octopus37 · 17/06/2020 08:20

Had a very carby day yesterday, so 9st2.5. I'm a bit up and down with the move and hormones etc tbh. Hope to feel more on an even keel soon.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 17/06/2020 08:44

I'm still at 10.3. Failing at weekend weighing...

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 17/06/2020 09:50

Fasted all day yesterday then had tortilla and broccoli for dinner and some pineapple in juice. About 500 cals I should think.

Managed to go to sleep early to avoid eating more.

Still 2lbs above lowest but grateful the other 5 mystery pounds didn’t hang around.

Not sure what the plan is today. I should know lol. I think fast till 1pm which will be over 16hrs. Then eat mindfully? I’ll come up with a plan.

EndlessUserName · 17/06/2020 10:17

@MonsteraCheeseplant

Have we....synced? Hmm Grin
Hahaha definitely!
EndlessUserName · 17/06/2020 10:18

Today's plan

B - 1 slice wholemeal loaf, PB, banana, chia seeds
L - pizza wrap
D - spag bol

Twixes · 17/06/2020 10:26

Did my first weigh in this morning- BMI of 24.7 ShockShockShock I've never been this heavy before.

And I just broke my first 16:8 fast. I was hungry in bed last night so have been starving since getting up at 7.30 this morning. If I didn't have kids 16:8 would probably be easier as I'd just sleep more during my fast period! But if I didn't have kids I'd probably still be a skinny minnie so hey ho, on I go!

I'm feeling v positive about 16:8 though, the levels of hunger I was feeling are a good sign. No hunger = no weight loss for me unfortunately.
