TheHoneyBadger · 12/06/2020 11:00

Everyone is doing great well done 👍

My scales are still saying crazy things. Really can’t believe you can put on half a stone of fat in a week. Think af is just starting. Hopefully get back on track soon.

oohnicevase · 12/06/2020 11:03

I've lost 17 pounds since the beginning of lockdown !!🤩🤩🤩

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/06/2020 11:05

Great losses everyone, well done.

Glad the move went well Octopus

Honey I hope af arrives and packs off quickly. I don't miss periods. I have endometriosis so I am not heavily contraceptived up so I have no cycle at all. Bliss.

B: mushroom omelette
L: lamb soup, salad with mackerel
D: beef chilli, broccoli.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/06/2020 11:07

Wow! 17lbs in 11 weeks is amazing! Brilliant work, and a great sustainable speed too.
oohnicevase · 12/06/2020 11:25

Thanks @HoneysuckIejasmine .. one more stone and I'm a normal weight ! 🤩🤩

EndlessUserName · 12/06/2020 12:05

Well done @ooh !

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/06/2020 12:55

@oohnicevase

Thanks *@HoneysuckIejasmine* .. one more stone and I'm a normal weight ! 🤩🤩
That's brilliant, you must be so pleased. I don't think I'll ever be officially "healthy BMI" because of how excessive my weight was, but I am still going to aim to get as damned near it as I can. Smile

Huge congratulations to you, final stretch of your journey is here!

oohnicevase · 12/06/2020 18:21

@HoneysuckIejasmine never say never ! 🤩🤩

SuperPixie247 · 12/06/2020 18:42

17lbs is fantastic! Well done Smile

@MonsteraCheeseplant very jealous of your 3 course meal. Am I allowed to ask where its from? We have some lovely 1 stars in Yorkshire who are doing take aways.

My steps and exercise have firmly gone out of the window. Work has been hectic and the weather has been rubbish. Sad

Hangoverstruggles · 12/06/2020 19:06

Just catching up with the thread. Well done @MonsteraCheeseplant!!! 10st3! And @stopfundinghate on the jeans fitting!

I was so excited to see that number of the scales and then someone brought chocolates into work and I've completely overeaten ever since! My meals have been been fine but it's the chocolate and then completely unnecessary marshmallows that I just ate!!

writing today off and will go back on it tomorrow. Just 1lb and then I'll aim to maintain!

Are you still aiming for 10st Monstera?

MonsteraCheeseplant · 12/06/2020 19:47

It was divine! We had to put a couple of things in the oven and microwave to re-heat and I did my best plating up artistry Grin He wore a shirt, I wore a dress and heels, lit a candle. It was lovely.
The menu was fancy bread and Ham hock with a delicious tangy mushroom topping, shin of beef which did not require a knife to cut up with potatoes and a onion sauce and asparagus and dessert was pannacotta with blueberry caramel. Phew!
@SuperPixie247 It's Peel's Restaurant a Hampton Manor They're doing some amazing looking staycation packages now.

@Hangoverstruggles I never aimed for 10 stone flat (honestly didn't think it was possible). I have heard that you might want to overshoot your target and expect to gain a lb or two when maintaining (can't remember exactly why now, water retention maybe?) though. 10.2 - 10.4 remains my goal range I think. I guess i'll look to lose another lb then look into reverse dieting and maintaining.

EndlessUserName · 12/06/2020 20:00

Sounds amazing @monstera!

What's reverse dieting again? I'm sure someone here explained it to me months ago but I've forgotten!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 12/06/2020 20:15

I don't know much about it yet, but I think it's about gradually increasing your calories until you find maintenance and maybe it's about exercising to increase your TDEE?

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/06/2020 23:24

Meal sounds lovely! Very jealous. Congratulations on landing in your goal range, that's brilliant.

Tomorrow is bacon day. Every Saturday we have bacon and sausage sandwich and then I have to try to have very few calories for the rest of the day. Grin worth it though!

Posypetal · 13/06/2020 08:11

@oohnicevase well done 17 pounds is amazing Smile

@MonsteraCheeseplant that menu sounds gorgeous I’m jealous!

I’m not pregnant after all! There was a feint line which I took as a positive (over the years I’ve have had many positive pregnancy tests including feint lines, strong lines, squintiest and everything in between) But negative since the. So was either a chemical or just a dodgy test. Who knows. We were excited but it’s not the best time at the moment any way so not too upset.

I’ve lost another 2lb! Every time I eat something I’m not supposed to I just miss the next meal and it seems to be working 🙈😂

Octopus37 · 13/06/2020 08:58

@oohnicevase, that weights loss is fantastic, thats loads. Monstera well done on your weight loss. Postypetal, sorry about you not being pregnant after all, hope you are ok. Massive well done on loosing 2 pounds, thats fantastic. 9st3.25 here, tummy feels very heavy, could be af on its way but cycle so weird these days that I've lost track. Aiming to do much better with food this week.

TheHoneyBadger · 13/06/2020 09:24

Everyone is doing great.

So cute that you and dp dressed up monstera Smile

AF arrived and half of my crazy upswing is gone already. I’m now allegedly 4lbs above my lowest weight and am hoping some of that just disappears too rather than being proper weight gain itms.

My friend who I’m now in a bubble with (I’m a single mum so allowed to join another household) came over last night and is currently asleep on my sofa. My head is a tad sore. Was lovely to have some adult company though.

Posypetal · 13/06/2020 09:59

@Octopus37 I have 7 children including a 4 month old babyShock and a very busy business to run! It really wasnt the best time so I’m not upset, I don’t really want anymore, I started using my Fitbit to track my cycle but it was different than usual this month. I really need to get some contraception Blush

HoneysuckIejasmine · 13/06/2020 10:34

Sorry Posy, that's not much fun having the uncertainty. Hope you're ok with the outcome.

Honey that's great that you've been able to have adult company. I'm married so nothing has changed, but I'm wondering if my adult brother can now join my parents. He has a live in carer so I'm not sure if that counts as living alone or not. So far they've stuck to distanced meetings in the garden but would be nice if they could properly socialise.

B: bacon and sausage sandwich (yummy)
L: ham salad and soup
D: fish with chorizo crust, beans, ?cous cous (but might give it a miss so I can have some snacks without going over)

oohnicevase · 13/06/2020 10:38

@PosyPetal thank you .. I've been stuck being overweight for a long time so I'm so glad my combination of slimming world and new medication for my thyroid have finally worked .. I feel sooo much better . Hoping for another stone 🙏🙏

MonsteraCheeseplant · 13/06/2020 12:30

HoneyBadger - good news about your AF water weight loss, and it's lovely that your friend is over, even if she is asleep Grin

I am quite excited that the weather has picked up as a small family BBQ is back on! I've made a potato salad with greek yoghurt and light mayo, and a Banoffee pie. Managed to find out what my sister is serving and found it all on MFP so we will keep track as best as we can. I't's happening at 2pm so i'm thinking it'll be enough cals for both lunch and dinner. I never usually do that and I know I won't like the change as i'm very used to 3 meals a day but needs must I think. Don't wanna ruin my progress.

Must. Not. Bring. Leftover. Banoffee. Home.

Hi everyone,

How did today go?

Just wondering if anyone in this group has lost weight before and not kept it off? I can already feel myself sabotaging the hard work I've done... I've been so focused getting to this point and as soon as I'm in reach of where I want to be I'm giving in to temptation!

Suddenly 1200 cals is impossible for me, and I'm eating junk mindlessly (tonight's was handfuls of sweet popcorn whilst getting some ready for the kids), a biscuit, handful of nuts, just al my old habits creeping back in.

Wondered if anyone had an advice before I fall too far from the wagon?!

I'm working this weekend which prob isn't helping as I have to be up very early and then tiredness kicks in late afternoon 😩

MonsteraCheeseplant · 13/06/2020 21:01

Don't panic @Hangoverstruggles! You don't have to be 'on it' every single day. Maybe it's time for a designated diet break?
Do you find it easier weekdays rather than weekends?

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 13/06/2020 21:17

Hi all, good to hear of so many losses!
@Hangoverstruggles I've lost weight before and usually put it back on gradually as I get into bad habits, so no real useful advice! I think I do better when I have regular exercise scheduled in as that keeps me in a healthy mind frame.
Yesterday I was completely off track, I ate loads including crisps, chocolate, pizza, a massive salad, chicken goujons, g&t, espresso martini. I enjoyed myself and didn't track it.
Today's food:
B. Avocado toast
L. Avocado sushi rolls & edamame beans, green tea
D. Pasta pesto with broccoli & chicken
S. 2 granola bars (new recipe & wanted to see what they were like)
Total calories 1650
Steps 11000
