@Ginandtonic31 - I've normally got a few on the go and see which one takes my fancy at the time. At the moment I've got French textbooks (yes, I even read them in bed sometimes, I should be better at French than I am!), various spiritual reads, an outlander series, I think no. 5, (started reading them maybe 10 years ago but stopped for a while), couple of political ones (All Out War (Brexit related) and a Yanis Varoufakis), and one called Women Who Run With The Wolves (re-read). On the waiting list are some more C J Sansom and Robin Hobb plus some French language ones.

@JessJonesJumps - yay on the yoga! That stuff helps everything I swear!

Down a whole 100g this morning at 66.5kg. See what tomorrow brings. A little snacking today but not much and meals were healthy (porridge with sultanas and nuts, salad with houmous and bread, sort of arancini with veg). Yoga done too.

Evening all. Thanks for motivational speech @cricketmum84. Perfect timing for me - I have managed to stay off the naughty step today and am proud of having resisted a hot cross bun spread thickly with Lurpak. I prepped it ready to eat but then felt so guilty that I passed it straight to DD1 instead to have with her afternoon cup of tea. I had bacon and egg for lunch, a few pecan nuts at my desk this afternoon and tuna mayo salad for dinner. Not inspiring really but at least I stayed on the keto wagon. Weight is stable - not much going on here in terms of a loss but at least no gain so far.

SconNotScone · 12/06/2020 08:43

Morning all. Tiny 0.25lb down so far since Monday. Finally back in gear I think. Did a whopping 21,000 steps yesterday, and have done my 20 min workouts each day this month.

@recklessgran I’m glad you’re feeling more on track too, keep at it!! That was very disciplined to hand over a Lurpacked hot cross bun! I’m not sure I would have had it in me.

@WhatALearningCurve keep up the hard work, I understand it’s daunting about moving down the the healthy BMI zone, but imagine how good it will feel when you get there, and again how it will feel once you’re firmly within range!

@Onthebrink67 I think a little snack or treat every so often is a good think to keep you focussed. Unfortunately my problem is sometimes it works out well for me, and very occasionally it opens the floodgates and I struggle to close them again for a few days! 😂

Sorry you’ve hit a bit of a slump @JessJonesJumps but I’m pleased you’ve got back into the yoga. Your food yesterday sounds delicious!

Well done on your losses @dobbyssoc and @ishouldtryabiteachdayy!

@Onesmallstep67 I love the term snackcident as well! I have a lot of those 🤣 hope you see a change in the scales soon.

@Irishstout you are an inspiration when it comes to the exercise!! I have never been able to get on with running, I have tried many times, and end up each time with dodgy hips. Eventually a physio told me not to keep trying, which quite frankly, was enough for me! I never really enjoyed it, although wished I had!

@cricketmum84 thank you for the boost in motivation, it is much needed at the mo!

JessJonesJumps · 12/06/2020 11:07

@cricketmum84 thanks for the motivation poster. I usually create vision boards every month but I've fallen out of the habit since lockdown. I need to get back to it.
My weight is up again today but, bizarrely, DH walked past and said he thought I looked like I'd lost weight so I checked my measurements and I've lost 2 inches this month in total so that was a welcome NSV.

Onceuponatimethen · 12/06/2020 11:23

Wise words @cricketmum84 we CAN do this and everyone on here has done so incredibly well already Flowers

Tryingtwo · 12/06/2020 11:44

Good morning all, just a quick check in - 0.2 lbs down today. Now back to a bit more homeschooling before lunch.

Vebrithien · 12/06/2020 12:36

Afternoon,
Well, after a disappearing act, and a coincidental discovery by onesmallstep I've popped back to give you all an update

My waters went at 26w 6d, and after lots of hospital admissions for placental bleeds, my DS Edward was born this morning, at 34w 1d. He weighs 4lb 9oz, and is currently in NICU for monitoring. Breathing all on his own.
DH only just arrived in time for his birth, just managed to hold on.
I'm still waiting to be taken down to NICU, but have just been fed (nil by mouth for 24 hours Sad) and am hoping to try to express some colostrum for him shortly.

recklessgran · 12/06/2020 12:45

WOW! @Vebrithien many, many congratulations!! You are amazing and hope you are all O.K. Thank you so much for the update and hope you get lots of cuddles with little Edward this afternoon. x

cricketmum84 · 12/06/2020 13:10

Oh @Vebrithien what lovely lovely news!!! Welcome to the world tiny Edward! What a worrying few weeks for you though especially with everything else that's been going on. Pleeeease can we have pics soon?

KOKO everyone, I find weekends quite difficult so need to be careful not to fall off the wagon after a good loss so far this month.

I've had a late breakfast/early lunch of toasted sourdough topped with grilled tomatoes and dry fried duck egg. It was delicious!

Making a quorn lunch chilli for me and DD tonight, DH and eldest DD will be having a meat chilli. They are all having theirs on nachos with lots of cheese. I'm going to have mine on a nice crispy cold salad.

cricketmum84 · 12/06/2020 13:15

Quorn mince.... not sure why it corrected that to quorn lunch!!!!

Congratulations @Vebrithien ❤️❤️❤️

Just a little update, today is my weigh in day and I lost 3 quarters of a pound which is a bit rubbish but at least it still isn’t a gain I suppose

GetTheStartyParted · 12/06/2020 18:19

@Vebrithien Congratulations Flowers I hope you and your little one are doing well (and that you enjoyed whatever food you managed to get!)

JessJonesJumps · 12/06/2020 18:42

@vebrithien congratulations! What lovely news that baby Edward has arrived. What a worrying time you've had but how wonderful that he's here and that Mr V made it in time. Sending you all lots of love ❤

Vebrithien · 13/06/2020 07:33

Morning everyone - finally THE WEEKEND Grin

Hope all have a really nice weekend with a bit of sun. Don’t know about everyone else but weather has been quite iffy up here this week so looking forward to seeing more of the sun in the next week!

I’ve tried really hard to resist temptation snack wise but dp discovered my secret snack cupboard and admitted yesterday that he had been raiding it Grin Need to move the snacks today at his request to where he can’t find them!

WI for me today and weight has dropped back down from TOTM and now back to 73.7 kg which I’m pleased about!

Plan Today:

Fruit for breakfast
Low cal veg soup for lunch
Mac cheese for dinner with plenty of veg

Exercise

Going to try to get kids on a really long walk today - probably aim for 2 hours

Hopefully get at least 10k steps doing that

cricketmum84 · 13/06/2020 08:45

Morning all and happy weekend!

Weigh in day for me and I've lost another pound. So 3lbs so far for the month and on track for the 7lbs goal by the end of the month.

Plan for today is some berries and yoghurt later this morning/early afternoon. Then I've got a bit of an odd tea planned! I have two big husked corn cobs in the fridge so am going to strip them down, marinade all day in chilli, lime, coriander and garlic and then roast them both in the oven. Can't wait!

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday. I'm allowing myself a couple of birthday chocolates today as 2 a day doesn't seem to be affecting my losses :) littliest DD made the most beautiful looking cake yesterday which I must avoid. (Pic below to show how much willpower I will need)

Wow that’s a gorgeous looking cake @cricketmum84

Smarshian · 13/06/2020 08:51

Morning all! @Vebrithien he’s gorgeous!

My scales are not budging at all this week which is frustrating after a fantastic loss in week 1. I’m trying not to let it demotivate me too much though and keeping focus. Hoping the scales will move soon. I’ve invested in some new digital scales as mine are difficult to read with any accuracy, hopefully they won’t give me a massive weight increase when they arrive on Wednesday!

Onesmallstep67 · 13/06/2020 10:13

@Vebrithien, hope you had a restful night. Edward is such a cutie. You must all be absolutely thrilled.
Weight here resolutely staying the same. Hopefully a little drop will happen soon. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

recklessgran · 13/06/2020 10:52

Morning all. Beautiful baby @Vebrithien, you must be so proud of yourself - enjoy all the lovely squishy cuddles and thanks so much for posting pic for us all to see. Love the name too.
Right, I'm back on the naughty step as of yesterday due to toastgate. [Four b*** slices!] I'm staying on here all weekend and going to try OMAD and lots of water today and tomorrow to make up for it. I'll be lucky not to have gained by my weigh day on Monday at this rate and if I don't get my act together PDQ no chance of making my goal of 11st 10lbs by the end of the month. Jolly well done to all of you with losses and hope everyone has a great weekend.

JessJonesJumps · 13/06/2020 11:19

@vebrithien he is gorgeous! Our first Losers' Club baby! They are adorable at that age. You just want to smother them with kisses and hugs. Flowers

@cricketmum84 that cake is amazing. I wouldn't be able to resist a slice.
