I was bad yesterday and ate some anniversary chocolates. But forgot to eat dinner so maybe not too much damage to Saturday's weigh in 🤞 although tonight we may order a meal from our wedding venue to celebrate our anniversary a day late (they weren't doing their dine out menu last night). I did a workout and a long walk yesterday though.

cricketmum84 · 10/06/2020 08:55

Morning all! Weirdly down another pound today so 2lbs for the month so far. Scales have been up and down for the first 7 days of the month and I went right back up to 17.12 so I'm a bit wowed by being right back down at 17.7 today. It's weird how much my weight can fluctuate day by day.

Plan for today is fruit and fat free yoghurt this morning. Really need to use up the last of the strawberries before they are past their best. Dinner is smoked haddock, new potatoes for the family (must resist carbs), baby corn and sugar snap peas. I am meant to be fully vegetarian but the occasional bit of fish does sneak in sometimes!

Happy anniversary @Ginandtonic31 a meal from your wedding venue sounds like a lovely idea! It's our 5 year anniversary next month so I may steal that idea!

Great loss @edwardson well done!

For the boredom snackers- keep your fruit bowl full!! I also like cucumber batons as snacks. Keeps me away from crisps and chocolate.

Morning all. I’ve lost focus a bit the past couple of weeks, but feel like I’m getting back to it. I know it’s because I’m right at the end now, officially I’ve met my target but trying to squeeze out a few more pounds. I guess it just doesn’t feel as important now in a way. But I still would like to lose these last few! Eyes on the prize now I think. Have a good week, halfway there (not that that means anything when you’re home ALL. DAY. EVERY. DAY with a 6 year old 😅)

cricketmum84 · 10/06/2020 08:56

Ooh I'm also treating myself to a home made coconut milk iced latte this morning after having some coconut milk delivered on Monday. It's my favourite costa order ever 😂 and not too bad home made as coconut milk is very light and I don't add sugar.

@SconNotScone me too. I don't know what's got in to me and I've no idea how to remotivate myself to get back on the wagon. HELP please my friends. I've lost 2 stone 4 lbs so far but really need to get another 4lbs off. That will take me to the very top end of the healthy weight on the BMI charts. Yesterday I had a toasted crust from the loaf dripping with butter and marmite for lunch and a dessert bowl of stew with boiled potatoes from the stew and dumplings I'd done in the slow cooker for DH and DD1. [I didn't have a dumpling though.]
Then I had a handful of DD1's sickly sweet dolly mixtures in the evening. Just mindlessly grabbed a handful from the bag and shoved them in my mouth one after the other. I am in danger from carbs girls. Off to give myself a talking too. Have a good day all, I'll report back here later to let you know what I've been up to on the naughty step!!

JessJonesJumps · 10/06/2020 09:22

Well, my sojourn into the 11s was very short-lived but my back is aching atm so I've been sleeping poorly and not managing to exercise. Plan for today is OMAD and some 'gentle' yoga in the hope it will help.
@Ginandtonic31 happy anniversary!
@cricketmum84 enjoy your coconut latte. My DSIS gave me a box of coconut latte sachets but I've never tried them. You might have inspired me to try one tonight.
@SconNotScone I think it's amazing you're staying focused at all since you've already made your target and you have a 6-yr-old! It's great you're still here and I know I find it very motivating to see posters who've already hit their target still sharing. Because that's always the part where I start to slip so seeing techniques for maintaining is very helpful.

HundredYearOldMan · 10/06/2020 11:26

Hello all, I weighed in yesterday and I am back down to 14st 6. This means I am the same as 2 weeks ago but I am hoping for a loss this week!

A few bad habits had crept in over the last couple of weeks (extra slice of bread, bit more cheese etc) so I need to be a little bit stricter with myself to get those losses!

Tryingtwo · 10/06/2020 12:05

Hello all, weigh in day today and I've stayed the same as yesterday 11st 11lbs (up 1.4 from Sunday's low) Well I expected my weight to go up when I started to eat normally again but am still slightly disappointed even though I know I shouldn't be.

crivit · 10/06/2020 12:20

You know those moments where you just want to climb into bed with a cup of something hot, a hot water bottle and a good book? Yes please.

Currently stood in a semi-dry alcove outside a Lidl eating an over cooked soggy pasta lunch having just cycled to work in the pissing rain. I'm wet, mud splattered and on the first day of my period. Oh, and that feeling when you think you may be bleeding through? Yeah, that too. But no way to check and change for another 15 minutes.

😞

On the plus side the 2 little chocolate biscuits for post lunch pud were nice and I'll have a lovely green tea soon!

GetTheStartyParted · 10/06/2020 15:37

I hope your day gets better @crivit Flowers

All good here, breakfast was strawberries and cream Grin Dinner will be bolognese and roasted chilli broccoli (no pasta).

SconNotScone · 10/06/2020 20:11

How was your day on the naughty step @recklessgran?! That did make me laugh! I’m sorry you’re lacking in motivation too at the moment. I’m not sure I have any advice for you I’m afraid! Just keep chipping away, and try to write off the bad days, and get back to it!

I have been back on track yesterday and today, thankfully. I think it takes a few good days to feel properly motivated again. Really really need to keep on top of this ready for DH’s birthday on Sunday. He would love a cooked breakfast, and we’re making him a chocolate cake. I’m going to have a little bit of cake, and most of the cooked breakfast elements, will make sure I grill bacon/sausage (I’ve bought chipolatas so I can just have one small one) and scramble eggs rather than fry them. Will probably have it as brunch, so can combine breakfast and lunch calories, then have something small for dinner. That’s the plan 😂

Just realised the following Sunday I have ordered afternoon tea to come to the house for Father’s Day! Oh my goodness. What is wrong with me?!

SconNotScone · 10/06/2020 20:14

Thank you @JessJonesJumps, that’s really nice of you to say! It has been a bit of a slow journey (just over 2 stone off since beginning of the year), but I have to say I do feel quite proud that it hasn’t all gone to pot during lockdown. Not sure I will set a good maintenance example, but I will try my hardest!!

I really hope your day got better @crivit, it sounds horrible for you. I really would have enjoyed getting back into bed with a hot water bottle earlier, it was so cold and miserable here! Treated ourselves to putting the heating on for a bit eventually!

crivit · 10/06/2020 20:54

Happily my day did improve! Someone lent me a fancy cycling rain cape for my journey home, had a quick café coffee with my partner before coming home, doing some yoga and having left over chilli with smushed (sort of semi mashed) spuds and green beans for dinner 😁. I will still be curling up in bed later with a cocoa and a good book though!

@GetTheStartyParted - love your breakfast!

@SconNotScone - No heating put on here but the winter slippers have been found 😊

recklessgran · 10/06/2020 22:43

Evening all. I think I'm off the naughty step @SconNotScone. Egg mayo and cherry tomatoes for lunch. 2 fat Finest sausages [low carb] and green veg for dinner followed by orange sugar free jelly. No toast or sweets have been consumed. Just sitting here polishing my halo.......
@GetTheStartyParted strawberries and cream? For breakfast? That sounds lovely and decadent. Might copy that one lunch time. [I only eat between 12 and 8]
@crivit poor you - I hope you feel better in a day or two. Luckily my shop shut when I was 50 - it was such a relief!
Hope everyone is doing O.K.

Ginandtonic31 · 11/06/2020 07:56

Morning all. I felt shocking yesterday. I don't know if I just didn't eat enough as Tuesday night I just couldn't be bothered to make dinner so didn't eat. Yesterday all I had was a protein shake for some stupid reason. Then later on I was dizzy and sickly which makes looking after a 3 month old difficult! We ended up not having a meal from our wedding venue as they had taken all offers off and it was going to cost £50 to take away! No thank you! So we went for a drive to Starbucks (I had a small hot chocolate with almond milk) andcthen pocked a KFC up - I had 3 pieces of chicken to keep carbs down although I know the coating will be full of them. I didn't enjoy it. So greasy and wish I had blown the diet completely and had a McDonald's!

Anyway, I must eat today and eat properly. Starting with some form of eggs when the baby wakes. I'm thinking of doing a less vigorous workout today and focusing on an work for split ab muscles. I fear mine may have slightly. Although I hate when a workout doesn't feel it has burnt much! 2 days until weigh in 🤞

@crivit I love a good book. What are you reading? Once my little one was down last night I got into bed with a book and going to read now I'm awake and she's asleep.

Well done everyone. Just keep going and thinking of the end game. I keep thinking through my workouts of a night out when lockdown is over in a lovely dress, a holiday next year in nice clothes and shopping for new stylish work clothes after my maternity leave.

Onceuponatimethen · 11/06/2020 08:26

Morning all! We are struggling with motivation a bit here as well. Dp has lost 19 kg in total since December which is an amazing 3 stone, but for some reason isn’t as proud of himself for that as I would like him to be!! He really wants to get down to about 78 kg but the last few kg are proving quite hard to lose Hmm

Irishstout · 11/06/2020 09:01

@recklessgran I love the terminology. I am well and truly on the naughty step this week. Monday was fab but I've let myself down the last 2 days. No motivation for anything least of all weight loss. Yesterdays badness culminated in eating half a bad of marshmallows with hot chocolate. I felt so guilty I went for a 5k run to try and make up for it. Not sure I really tipped the balance but I would have felt so bad if I'd done nothing. I'm struggling to make my 10k steps atm too.

So today is a new day and I must not concentrate on all the badness. I'm gunna go for a walk which should up my steps. Also after my 5k I thought I should push myself to do it daily. It only takes 30mins out of my day and is good for me - i really hate running though!

It's not official weigh in day but the scales say 12.13 this morning which is +1. So i must get back on board.

Onesmallstep67 · 11/06/2020 10:09

Doing okay here. Weight has STS but I feel like a loss is coming. I feel lighter and no bloating. Trying to keep up with the water intake and did quite a bit on the exercise bike yesterday. I seem to prefer sitting on that watching the TV to going out walking ! Going to see my friend for a socially distanced chat later so that should keep me snack free for a while ! One of my favourite ever words someone coined on this thread a while back was 'snackcident' which seems to sum up my current downfall, I don't intentionally mean to eat the biscuits, they just end up in my mouth by snackcident Grin

GetTheStartyParted · 11/06/2020 10:38

@recklessgran sounds like you had a good day food wise. Yes, strawberries with extra thick cream, delicious. I called it my breakfast though I ate at 12.30 Grin some days I eat 16:8/18:6/20:4 other days I eat 3 traditional meals. It all depends on how I am feeling.

@Ginandtonic31 it sounds like you really didn't eat enough! It's a shame you didn't enjoy what you did have, hope you still had a nice anniversary.

@Irishstout good luck with sticking to it today Smile What kind of diet are you doing?

@Onesmallstep67 I love the feeling that the weight loss is edging nearer, it makes it so much easier for me to make good choices! Fingers crossed for no snackcidents Wink

ishouldtryabiteachdayy · 11/06/2020 11:28

Weighing in, 2 lbs off this week. Been struggling with avoiding cakes, but trying to do smaller portions of carbs and work around any treats. I am that type of person that could eat 3 massive portions of dinner, especially pasta. Finding it harder as time goes on.. thinking I'm going to need to go lower than target of 10 lbs as my waist is still large and holding fat around my abdominals ( think combination of nearly 40 and had a baby in January)

4th June 10.6 lbs
11th June 10.4 lbs

dobbyssoc · 11/06/2020 12:05

2lb loss for me this week. Which is 15lbs overall.

Hopefully this continues!!

JessJonesJumps · 11/06/2020 13:05

WI today and I'm 0.4lbs up since last week. I think I'm back into my yoga pattern. I did it yesterday and today. But my sleep pattern is still completely random. I'm either wide awake and full of energy at 4.30am or exhausted and having to go for a nap in the afternoon.
I had a poached egg for breakfast today and I have homemade pea and garlic soup for lunch then salmon for dinner.
I know usually at this point in the school term DS is exhausted and I'm hoping that's what's happening just now because school will be finished in a week's time, and then we'll all feel better. But if this is some kind of lockdown fatigue goodness knows when we'll get out of that!

Onthebrink67 · 11/06/2020 14:47

Been really unmotivated this week after a good week last week- keep reaching for food even though I’m not really hungry. Going to try the reverse psychology of giving myself a treat tonight to try and stave off the unintended snacking followed by feelings of failure.

WhatALearningCurve · 11/06/2020 16:02

Fully crashed today. Done around 15000 steps the last 3 days. Not sure I'm even at 3000 today 🤣

Sticking to my calorie limit though and my steps are good for a weeks total anyway so I'm not too fussed.

I'm on track to do my 7lb this month (and maybe a bit extra) but that means I'm only half a stone away from being in healthy BMI and for some reason that's terrifying me because I've never been in healthy BMI ha. I think i thought I'd start to feel massively different when I was around this weight and in reality it's just showing me how deluded I was about my size for a very long time.

cricketmum84 · 11/06/2020 21:34

Thank god it's almost Friday! It's felt like such a long week here.

Didn't weigh this morning and going to hold off until Saturday now for official weigh in day. Had a packet of banana chips at lunch and then quorn pieces in sweet and sour sauce and a small portion of noodles for dinner. Need to up my fruit and veg game for sure!

Big push now for the weekend guys, I know it's so hard to keep motivated in the current circumstances but we can all do this. We are all totally capable of it and WE HAVE GOT THIS!!!!
