So today is day 1, I've just taken my before pictures had a little cry and weighed myself.

I've got 3.5 stone to lose and then some more that I'll assess when I get there.
Because I WILL get there!

Starting off with calorie counting, no choc/crisps and either a bike ride or c25k every evening after dc2 goes to sleep. And will tweak as necessary as I go.

I'm planning on posting here A LOT as dh is less than helpful and tbh is he's annoying me during lock down so I'll probably moan about him here too!

Feel free to join in, share tips, try stay sane and on track. Halo

@PurrSaidTheCat

I felt a bit off a difference then - I am actually at 2.5 stone loss now. I did the first stone in about a month on low carb.

Although focusing on maintaining (and hopefully not putting on too much) until Xmas and then will take it seriously again.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 14/12/2020 22:25

I cannot stop eating Sad I would blame Christmas and the general festivities but it's not like there's many celebrations going on at the moment! More laziness for now as DS1 is off school with chicken pox and seriously disrupting my present wrapping schedule...

Toomanycats99 · 15/12/2020 06:23

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl

Think I'm eating cos I am fed up! Into tier 3 tomorrow so hotel and panto cancelled for next week. We try and do a hotel and theatre show the week before Xmas as it's a really lovely night away. Look at the lights, nice meal out etc. I am so upset to be missing it. I am just fed up with it all! I am not massively social so am not someone that is always round peoples house / has people round so that bit hasn't hit me so hard but just everything has got to me now.

I get very little break from kids as their dad lives with parents so he only sees them here (never actually takes them anywhere even to the park despite me suggesting it!)

Plus I have to do studying for work so when he does have them I now sit in my room doing that rather than getting a break from everyone! Sorry self pitying rant this morning!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 16/12/2020 21:54

@Toomanycats99 that's such a shame about your hotel and panto trip Sad we went to a panto last year which the DC enjoyed, but I think they'd have appreciated it much more this year - I haven't even bothered booking anything though, just as well with DS1 still spotty.

Your ex sounds like my BIL - still lives with his DM, very little idea of what to do with his DC and even less motivation to actually do anything!! not helped by MIL enabling him to be a manchild at every step Very frustrating for you I imagine, however much we love our DC we all need a break from them from time to time.

Rant away, I am utterly exhausted at the moment and also fed up that I am finishing 2020 pretty much as fat as I started it!!

Toomanycats99 · 20/12/2020 16:11

Well I have given up until the new year. Now in tier 4 and frankly all I can be bothered to do is eat Pringles and chocolate.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 20/12/2020 22:59

Hello @Toomanycats99 from a fellow tier 4 inhabitant!!

We did venture out today to a local market despite dire warnings about travel on the news. It was fine there - all open air, socially distanced, plenty of sanitiser etc - and really our options are limited with DS1 still a bit spotty (I had to stock up on Calpol and Piriton too!). However I find once you are at these markets it's rude not to try the food, right?! Blush

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 25/12/2020 22:26

Merry Christmas @PurrSaidTheCat and @Toomanycats99 (and anyone else reading!) - quiet one here in tier 4 with both DC now full of chicken pox Confused plus Santa has yet to arrange a Christmas miracle whereby I lose four stone overnight - maybe next year, Santa Xmas Grin

Toomanycats99 · 26/12/2020 06:58

Merry Christmas @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl and everyone else.

Someone else I know dd came out in chicken pox on Xmas Eve - it's obviously going round.

Hope they don't suffer too bad - when my dd had it was really mild. Which was a blessing as she is a complete hypochondriac and the slightest pimple is a large scale disaster needing plasters and team!

I have enough food to feed a small country. Ended up with way more leftovers than even I planned for.

Maybe I will have some (failed attempt
at) gingerbread house with my morning coffee when I make it in a minute!

AThousandTimesYes · 27/12/2020 17:14

Hi, I've got loads to lose and would love to join in please.

I'm really worried about excess skin on my belly, it's already loose and jiggly/saggy Confused

Toomanycats99 · 28/12/2020 08:06

Welcome @AThousandTimesYes!

Good luck with the weight loss journey.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 28/12/2020 21:10

Welcome @AThousandTimesYes! Is there any specific diet you're going to follow?

Still spotty DC here @Toomanycats99 Sad DS2 seems to have it more severely than DS1 did but will he take any medicine? No, he will not Hmm

No progress on the weight loss front but I am making plans. May join some other chat threads for extra motivation...! DP is back at work next Monday and I am counting the minutes days. I'd forgotten how much he faffs...
